I have six empties, first for ages.

Tresemme Cleanse and Replenish Shampoo, took ages to use this 850ml bottle. I really liked it, works well and was really inexpensive. I may have more shampoo in the stash so no need to RP.
Lipcote, I am using up old lipsticks which do not last so using them up with Lipcote.

Naturally Radiant Glycolic Toner from Superdrug. Tiny bottle which was a GP. Would definitely RP but no Superdrug in NZ.
Mitcham and Sure deos - use Mitcham all the time but travel with Sure as easy to use on plane!
No 7 Lash Serum - I have been using this on my eyebrows and think I can see the tiniest improvement.

Some empties

Inkey List polyglutamic acid. Weird chemical smell. I don't think it added anything to my normal hyaluronic acid.

Lé Mara face scub. It was fine but had a horrible artificial smell (a bit of a pattern here).

Lacura hyaluronic acid. OK. Prefer the ordinary.

Hidden forest hand cream. Light weight and not terribly moisturising.

The ordinary EUK. I bought this and a couple of other "similar products you might like" when The Ordinary stopped doing alpha lipoic acid which had an obvious and excellent effect on my skin. Unfortunately, this did not have the same effect.

@Fraaahnces - are there any Korean alpha lipoic acid products you could recommend?

@FiveShelties I really like that Tresemme you have there. The others on the range not so much, as they leave my hair greasy and flat. Love the green one too.

@OchonAgusOchonOh I also have the Lacura hialuronic acid. Haven’t tried it yet. Is it too sticky?

OchonAgusOchonOh · 29/01/2024 16:59

@Thereislightattheendofthetunnel - it's a bit sticky and it doesn't seem as good as some of the others I've tried.

I'm currently using a Lacura collagen and gold serum and that seems much better.

ItookYourJob · 30/01/2024 15:54

Hello everyone! Love reading your posts, so thought I join too! Small, small portion of what has been used - long way to go, still. Everything has been a bit meh, apart from the Drunk Elephant. I’d love to buy full versions of these products if they weren’t so overpriced.

Hello @ItookYourJob, welcome!

CorneliaStreet · 30/01/2024 16:19

A few more empties:

Aveeno Oat cleanser - 200ml. This was in the back of the cupboard with a bit left in, so I used it up. It’s a nice cleanser and good value. I seem to like pretty much any oat cleanser.

Korres Greek yoghurt foaming cream cleanser - 20ml. Love this, have been through a full size before. Will probably buy more if the cleanser stash ever diminishes a bit.

Dr Dennis Gross fill and repair serum - 7ml. Hated the smell of this. I do not want my face to smell like cheap knock off Chanel No. 5.

Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Night Cream - 7.5ml. This is quite lightweight for a night cream. Either it wasn’t moisturising enough for my skin or the retinol makes it drying, because I felt like I needed to put an oil on over it.

Bath & Body Works shower gel in Magnolia Charm - 295ml. I like the B&BW shower gel formula, it feels moisturising and the bottles seem to last for ages. Wasn’t particularly keen on the scent of this one though, more pear than floral and too sweet.

Love Body & Earth vanilla hand cream. Smelled rank, so I used it up on my feet. I got a set of six for Christmas so I’ve got five more to get through (thankfully in different scents).

I’ve got some empties to report:
Colab Dry Shampoo, pretty good for a budget but that leaves less of a white cast than Batiste.
Philip Kingsley Bodybuilding Weightless Shampoo, likes the smell but made my hair greasy after one day.
Dove Caring Bath, fine.
Maui Cocobutter Shampo, quite liked this, made my hair soft.
nearly finished another dry shampoo, a cleanser and an eye cream that’s been haunting me for YEARS and doesn’t even do anything, can’t wait to get rid of it! Stash reducing slowly but surely.

Some empties from me.

A Votary Super Seed facial oil. It’s old and smells weird. So junking it. Junked another one last week too.

Biotin and collagen shampoo - quite liked it but have quite a full stash of others to use

Omorizcova mud cleanser. Messy. Won’t repurchase.

Sunday Riley AutoCorrect eye cream - have used before and it’s ok but have a few others to use up now so no plans to repurchase.

Fraaahnces · 31/01/2024 15:00

@CorneliaStreet - I forgot to say that the Hada Labo you have has a lot of Hyaluronic Acid in it, but if you want the BEST HA they make, get the Gold Premium one. You can absolutely double up. I love them both.

Buster27 · 01/02/2024 11:35

Body Shop mango hand cream - yay, I actually finished a hand cream! I quite like Body Shop hand cream but mango is not for me.

Girlz Only dry shampoo - this is ancient. Was fine but not the best I've used. To be fair it's so old they've probably updated or discontinued by now 😅

Barbara Sturm face cream - loved this, really enjoyed using it. Too expensive for me to purchase though, I would need to see some results other than just enjoying it for that price!

Granada Bossa bar soap - not pictured as there's nothing left to picture Grin this was quite nice, I don't opt for bar soap out of preference though so wouldn't purchase.

Stash still feeling wildly out of control after Christmas, have resisted any purchases in 2024 so far..

I've just used up a couple of things:

  • Boots Sensitive make-up remover wipes - I always buy these when I go away as they're great for use when travelling. Just used up when I got home as they'll dry out before my next trip. Will repurchase when needed.
  • Aromatherapy Associates Revive Body Oil - I like this but it's not my favourite citrus body oil. Might repurchase in future but don't need to replace right now.

A decent haul of empties from me this week

We are very sad to announce the end of the Sunday Riley CEO moisturiser - I really liked this so much. Made my skin super soft. Think it was a big hitter from a 2022 AC.

Also:
No 7 serum - this was a freebie from work and it was excellent! Really made my skin feel great, would deffo RP
Dermalogica sleep cocoon - night cream, i love this too, I think I bought this, size was tiny tho
Seated Queen serum from last year';s Liberty AC noooooo this was also so so lovely, may have to RP
MZ skin mask - pretty good
Faith in Nature bath stuff - OK
Stella serum - meh
Sunday Riley night oil - too small to tell but I have a big bottle from Liberty AC
LAura Mercier powder - really like this and don;t seem to have any more in my stash! May have to BUY aaargh

I think that's it so far this year - 9

@Experiment627 Big shout out to you! I went past H&B and remembered your post about fennel toothpaste.

I am loving the taste. Thank goodness for this thread and the lovely people in it. I will stock up on this once it’s in offer and when I finish the others in my stash

Welcome @BlindurErBóklausMaður!! Interesting username 🧐

@FiveShelties I am a big fan of Superdrug own brand stuff. Naturally Radiant range included. There are some superstars and some not so great but given price I think they are great value. I have just bought some of the Optimum range to try out.

@ItookYourJob welcome! Another interesting username!

@Thereislightattheendofthetunnel so glad you like my HG toothpaste. I have been using for yonks & I bulk but to get the best deal.

No empties unless you count a conditioner that came with Nutrisse hair dye. I did buy a Pantene thing yesterday in an attempt to get my frizz tamed... will give it a go today.

BlindurErBóklausMaður · 02/02/2024 07:30

I have a surprise empty because I knocked my almost full Missha Time Revolution Ampoule on the fecking floor and it smashed.

Bathroom tiles lovely and hydrated though. 😏

listsandbudgets · 02/02/2024 12:52

Not exactly an empty but one less thing in my stash as I gave DD the Paula's choice from the Liberty AC. She seemed quite pleased and had been wanting to try it for ages... I'd never even heard of it before so it's going to a good home.

ItookYourJob · 02/02/2024 13:55

@CorneliaStreet @Experiment627 Thank you, it’s time to use up those beauty finds!
Though.. I just had a look at Boots 70% sale and somehow ended up with 5 more gift sets.🫣

Minnie123456 · 02/02/2024 22:21

First empties of 2024 😊
No 7 protect & perfect intense advanced dual action cleansing water- I liked this, it made my skin nice and clean although it sometimes made my skin feel a little dry.

No 7 protect & perfect intense advanced serum- this was mini sized. I didn't really notice a difference in my skins appearance but it made my skin really soft.

L'occitane verbena shower gel- this was out of the 2022 ac, I didn't like the smell and it didn't lather well, I won't rp.

No 7 protect & perfect intense day cream- I love this cream, will rp when I have used up my stash.

The body shop white musk body lotion- I think this had went off, I have no idea how long it was lurking in the back of the cupboard.

L'occitane cherry blossom hand cream- this was a mini from the 2022 ac. This was ok.

Impulse 02 body spray- reliving my youth with this one, I used to wear this as a teenager, I still love the smell.

7/100 I think I might have set my target too high but I'm going to try my best to meet it.

SwordBilledHummingbird · 03/02/2024 10:29

A couple more empties here:

  • Cowshed Nourish Cuticle Oil - This is nice but I don't need to rebuy as I have a cuticle oil in the stash from one of last year's Liberty Beauty Drop boxes.
  • Origins Ginzing Into The Glow Brightening Serum - I like this and always seem to end up with lots of small sizes from GWPs. This one was a 5ml and I have a 15ml one in my stash to replace it with.
wheresmyshoe · 03/02/2024 15:48

Two more down.

I like these eye mask things. I keep them for hotels where the air con dries my skin. Nice little fresh boost in the morning. I don't buy them as they inevitably just turn up.

These bath salts were fine, nice soothing scent and not irritating on the skin. Not a repurchase.

12/100

More empties. There seems to have been loads this week, everything ran out at once. I’ve just replaced them all with full sizes from the stash though, so empties might be a bit thin on the ground for a while.

Murad AHA/BHA exfoliating cleanser - 200ml. This is incredible, feels lovely to use and leaves my skin so soft. It’s a massive tube so lasts forever and it’s often in sets so no need to ever pay the RRP. I’ve already got a replacement but I might try out a few of the other exfoliators I have first.

Elemis Superfood Midnight Facial - 50ml. Another favourite, my skin feels in really good nick in the morning when I use this. Will probably repurchase at some point when it’s on offer, but I’ve got a load of other night creams to get through first.

This Works Sleep Plus Dream Body - 50ml. I think this is supposed to be like a serum for the body, with retinol and CBD. It has the consistency of a thin body lotion. I used it on my arms in the evening and it did seem to make my skin feel nice, but it is a small bottle and didn’t last long. Smells the same as the Body Cocoon and pillow spray from This Works.

Pink Coco Vanilla body lotion - 414ml. Love the consistency of these lotions. This wasn’t my favourite scent though, it was bordering on sickly.

Soap & Glory Smoothie Star body scrub - 300ml. Love this, smells amazing and is properly scrubby. I’ve got another one stashed but I’m going to try out a Tree Hut scrub next.

Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir cologne - 9ml. Definitely not my favourite JM scent, but it did grow on me a bit while using it up. The top notes are nicer than the dry down, which has too much clove for me.

I've cracked and ordered the cult beauty fragrance discovery kit.
