Can anyone give me a quick idiots guide? I’m sure it is very simple but I don’t understand how I post if I don’t have their address? No working printer here - help!

So it’s Evri home delivery. It’s my local store but it’s what to do with the code once I’m in the store.

Just go to the store, find the printer (ask if you can't see it), press send parcel, hold your phone with the QR code on it in front of the printer, and it'll print a label out. Stick it on the parcel (it's self adhesive, no need for tape), and hand the parcel over to the shop staff. Done.

Findyourneutralspace · 04/11/2023 11:58

Go to the store and show the code to the shopkeeper. They will show you what to do. Likely they will scan it, print out a label and take the parcel off you. If not, they will tell you what to do.

Comedycook · 04/11/2023 11:58

Ok for evri...I go to my nearest shop which does it. I have the qr code ready on my phone. They have a machine in store...I click on send a parcel on the screen on the machine. It asks if I have a qr code. I press yes and hold my phone under the machine with qr code. It scans it and the label prints out. I stick on parcel. Take it to shopkeeper who scans label on the parcel. I put in their crate. Shopkeeper gives me a receipt.

if you are worried....just go to the shop and ask them to help you

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 04/11/2023 11:59

Hi OP... just go to the store with the parcel and the code and ask the person behind the counter to show you what to do.

Once you've got this one sorted, you'll know what to do next time (even if that means taking the parcel and code to the person behind the counter every time).

Have you had to cancel the sale? Poor buyer Confused

Not yet but they haven’t lost anything, or have they?

I was like this when I first started using Vinted. There are so many options it seemed so complicated! For inpost delivery you need to take the parcel to one of the lockers. You can put your postcode in and find one close to you. Our local ones tend to be in big retail park/supermarket car parks. Inpost is great as you don't even usually need a label, you just scan a QR code and the locker pops open, you put the parcel inside and that's it.

For the courier options you will need to find someone here that is a drop off point where they can print a label for you. That's easy too, you just get them to scan the QR code and it will print off a sticky label.

The issue is finding out where these drop off points are. If there isn't one locally to you and it's going to be a pain to get to one you would be best cancelling that postage option from your preferences which you can do in the settings part of the vinted app. For example I don't use the Yodel option as there's nowhere close by that accepts them.

It sounds like a faff but once you get familiar with which places take which parcels it's really easy. I go to the same corner shop each time for evri parcels. Don't give up! Just keep calm and follow the step by step instructions. It will tell you what you need to do.

Show the shopkeeper. They will scan and print a label for you or direct you to a printer where you can do it yourself. Then take the parcel back to them, they will give you a receipt and take the parcel. If you're unsure just ask for help.

KingsleyBorder · 04/11/2023 12:01

Why are you not reading all the helpful advice people are giving you? There are several people on here who have given you step by step instructions. You managed to list the stuff, that’s much harder than posting it.

You might want to take a breath and think about seeking GP help for anxiety.

BeenRoundThatBlock · 04/11/2023 12:02

You have the code

You know your nearest shop

Take the parcel and your phone to the shop

Tell them you have this parcel to send

Show them the code

They will print the label

Stick it on the parcel

Leave it where they tell you

Job done :)

They will help you, OP x

Summermeadowflowers · 04/11/2023 12:05

@KingsleyBorder ive been through and pressed the thanks button so much I have carpal tunnel syndrome.

The GP isn’t open. And I don’t have anxiety. I’m just thick.

Hey OP, it isn't that user friendly! I don't have a printer either, but a few local shops have inpost lockers. However, it's really confusing but even though some of the postage options in your settings say prepaid label, it doesn't mean you can get them printed in the shops.

Update your postage settings to the two options highlighted, they're the ones that you can use without a printer. Hope that helps!

Also just message your buyer and explain you've no printer so need to cancel the order and update your settings.

I think it’s because my local shop are always busy - can’t see them taking the time to show me how to do it! I just regret listening to the person who said it was easy Smile

littlebirdieblu · 04/11/2023 12:17

If it's Evri, and you have a code as you say, please go to the nearest store. And then ask where their Evri machine is. They are usually blue. Go over to the machine. Press 'I want to send a parcel', then click 'I have a QR code. At this point get the QR code out on your phone. You will need to hold the phone under the machine (there will be a box on the screen showing where to fit your QR code into the box) and then the machine will print you a label, stick it to
Your parcel. Then take it to a cashier in the shop. She will scan the label and will give you a small card receipt.

It's part of the services they offer, they will help you. You are making this much more difficult than it needs to be. Take your parcel and leave our phone, go to the shop, ask them to scan the code. They will take it from there.

mrssausage23 · 04/11/2023 12:18

Don't leave your phone!! That was a typo.

You need your phone for the QR code.

MinnieL · 04/11/2023 12:20

OP calm down and take a deep breath. You have the code and it’s going to be delivered by Evri.

Go to your nearest shop and say, ‘Hi, I have a QR code and a parcel to deliver. Please can you show me how to use the machine’ and that’s literally it. It’s an extremely simple process, you’re just not used to accessing the label via a QR code

Summermeadowflowers · 04/11/2023 12:21

I know, I’m not making it difficult intentionally. I just genuinely don’t seem to be able to process it. I’m reading what people have written and I know the words but I don’t understand it. I am 100% not criticising anyone, it’s me, you’ve all been lovely! But I have found out how to cancel so that’s probably best. I think I thought it was easy and it probably is if you’re used to these sorts of things.

I find the evri machines really user friendly.

MinnieL · 04/11/2023 12:23

Don’t cancel the order!! It’s really easy money especially if you’ve already packaged the item. Just go to your local store and speak with the staff behind the tills. I sell on Vinted all the time so feel free to PM me if you need assist but it really is as simple as a few of us have said.

You have the QR code, you have the shop you need to go too, you have the parcel. What’s the probs?!😬

SiobahnRoy · 04/11/2023 12:25

Take the packaged item and your phone to the shop. That’s it.

ClockHolly · 04/11/2023 12:26

I’ve never sent by Vinted so can’t help. But why not go down to the shop this afternoon and at least have a try? Ask the staff for help, follow the instructions and try your best. If you really can’t do it then come home and cancel the sale. But at least give it a go.

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 04/11/2023 12:26

Don't cancel OP! Your buyer will be really disappointed. Just take parcel to shop with your phone. Stand in the queue and just ask the person behind the counter to do it all for you... they really won't mind!

Bemyclementine · 04/11/2023 12:30

Just follow the instructions on the email or app. It really isn't difficult.
