Was on the MN email but I deleted it in a fit of tidyness!

Its a full length coat that was described as being like wearing a sleeping bag......iirc was about £130.

Thanks!

Superdry!

Galiana · 19/10/2023 01:24

Eww.

PyongyangKipperbang · 19/10/2023 01:25

Wow that is big (the asos one!) and I am a size 8!

Thanks, I think it was the Superdry one!

Eww.

Well I am not buying one for how it looks but for what it does.

As a skinny 50 year old who is perma-cold, I want to feel warm. I would rather look like I took my duvet to work with me than shiver!

I bought it recently in a 10 but so oversized I then ordered an 8 and now not sure what to do, but it's very nice.

But if you are selling it on....let me know!

I've got the 8 and the 10 (unworn) and still well within return period, so just wondering which one to go for. The collar is really flattering and can be worn up.

I would put my biggest jumper on, try them both and keep the one that still allows for half a stone of "winter padding"! But that just me!

I've got a nicer version of this that I bought in Copenhagen when we lived there and in black- except mine has shape!! Good stuff -- i will be trendy this winter!!

Yup that is what I'm planning to do, just haven't done it yet :)

I like it! I’ve been trying to find some cute down slippers online but they’re too clunky with big soles on them. I just want slippers that are made of the soft crinkly cotton covered squishy down and that’s it 😂

Who the hell decided to style that with full on "serial killer" vibes?!

Pretty sure if I wore that people would think a double bed had just walked past 😩🤣 But it does look warm…

RosieMilkJug · 19/10/2023 04:39

I have one from Sweary Betty but it’s too big to fold down into the car and if I bend over when I wear it I feel like the Michelin Man. But it’s very good for country walks as long as you’re careful about brushing next to twigs. My husband hates it but I was in Coal Drops Yard recently and they were everywhere.

Runninghappy · 19/10/2023 04:51

I tried the super dry coat on in xs/8 yesterday and it was awful. Had no shape at all. I’m all for warmth as I’m always cold and my daughter is a skater but it was hideous sadly.

I'd rather freeze than wear either of those coats.

Hey you could fit a number of victims under that coat. Also tools of the trade like bludgeons, stabbers, throttlers, chains &c. Very handy imo and I'm saying that as someone who's absolutely not a serial killer, nothing to see here, lalala (orders coat)

LuciaPillson · 19/10/2023 05:55

They'll never be the most elegant of clothing items but it may be possible to find a good long down/puffer coat that is narrower, like the Superdry one, but also slighly contoured/belted with some shape to it. I have one (albeit bought many years ago). I'd think actually a more bodycon one would be warmer as fewer draughts racing up from the bottom end!

@RosieMilkJug Realise autocorrect/typo but loving 'Sweary Betty'. 😁 Picturing a lady version of Father Jack: 'Drink! Feck! Arse! Boys!'
