So, I like the idea of this tea dress, but what is with that gap between the boobs thing - what goes there?

I need to find something affordable to wear to an evening event type thing. I would quite like to wear a nice dress. But not too eveningy or floaty or anything - just nice.

And this tea dress is ok shape but i'm alarmed by the big gap thing between the breasts [http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId =19551&storeId=12556&productId=624224&langId=-1&categoryId=&parentcategoryrn= what's that all about?]

Can anyone find a nicer one, but not too expensive? Please?

MrsCarrot · 29/02/2008 19:38

Yes, it's a plan. Will do trying on as soon as I can get out of The Village.

Like glitter eyes!

I wondered what shade 'cod red' was then!

I'm way down the bottom, but am reading my way up. I will get here eventually.

Boc - it will be really dressed down. Guaranteed.

ahundredtimes · 29/02/2008 20:52

[emerges triumphant at the top, punches air, plants a flag]

Red dress is gorgeous, but will you want to dress it down? I think it's lovely.

Black would be fine.

I think it'll be quite dressed down, but I might be wrong, because these things always are. So you need to look cool but not over dressed. That red dress would be good with something dressed down over?

I don't know what I'm saying. I have altitude sickness, and I keep thinking about those red/pink Boden shoes.

ahundredtimes · 29/02/2008 20:54

Don't want you to go too cocktail party, because isn't it in LBF venue at end of day?

ahundredtimes · 29/02/2008 20:54

[collapses and eats kendal mint cake]

Come and talk to me.

Bbbee · 29/02/2008 20:56

100 - hello - aren't you wonderful - how wonderfully wonderful.

Boco · 29/02/2008 20:56

Yeah you're right, not too cocktail party, would be a nightmare if everyone else in jeans too. that could happen and then i'd feel a right fool and get too drunk.

What does LBF venue mean?

Did you like those Boden shoes? There were freaky I thought.

[squeezes Bee earnestly] it's like I'm in a dream Bee.

Boco · 29/02/2008 20:57

I texted your news to bee, 100. We're all very proud. [creepy]

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 29/02/2008 20:58

Yes, I liked them

Shall I spell out LBF? Am worried to do so, perhaps I remembered The Event wrong.

What would you wear with dress? Women will be dressed up in an understated way, men won't have bothered.

MrsCarrot · 29/02/2008 20:59

I don't like boden red shoes

are you too dainty for blue flower ones, Boco?

I long for size 6 feet

ahundredtimes · 29/02/2008 21:00

Oh thank you. Yes, is weird and good. Mostly good today, actually really good. Boco told me to go for walk as got a bit weird, but now good.

Right. The dress.

Bbbee · 29/02/2008 21:00

actually boco - you could go quite normalish but with the red shoe thing because that is good and could go either way. I think balck dress and red shoes. I said that already.

100 - we are thrilled. I did a squelling thing in a library and then told a young floppy haired student all about you.
