So, I like the idea of this tea dress, but what is with that gap between the boobs thing - what goes there?

I need to find something affordable to wear to an evening event type thing. I would quite like to wear a nice dress. But not too eveningy or floaty or anything - just nice.

And this tea dress is ok shape but i'm alarmed by the big gap thing between the breasts [http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId =19551&storeId=12556&productId=624224&langId=-1&categoryId=&parentcategoryrn= what's that all about?]

Can anyone find a nicer one, but not too expensive? Please?

blue tea dress

The one I was one about is not on the New Look website, but have a look on page 10 of Grazia, is a lovely red print tea dress for £25. It may be a bit too 'day' for a party though.

MrsBadger · 29/02/2008 17:58

FrannyandZooey · 29/02/2008 18:00

If you don't want your boobs out Boco at least wear a nice colour
please don't blend into the background

MrsBadger · 29/02/2008 18:01

MrsBadger · 29/02/2008 18:02

FrannyandZooey · 29/02/2008 18:02

I want Boco to wear the one from Principles called 'slinky tribal bark dress'

PMSL

there's another nice red one on the principles link Boco. Please wear a nice red one. or something.

Boco · 29/02/2008 18:03

Oh I quite like the ruffle dresses from New Look - but was that first one really short? Don't know if i could do too short. Price good and like the ruffles though, might have to go and try those on.

I want to blend in to back ground a bit franny, am having to go on my own and really want to feel comfortable. Just a bit of blending. have no idea what sort of thing other people will be wearing.

FrannyandZooey · 29/02/2008 18:03

FrannyandZooey · 29/02/2008 18:04

don't blend too much
what a waste

Boco · 29/02/2008 18:04

A bit of boob is fine, just no gashes.

GetOrfMoiLand · 29/02/2008 18:04

i like MrsBadgers red dress.

FrannyandZooey · 29/02/2008 18:04

ah you see MrsB says the red one as well
everyone wore red at the oscars so is obviously a good blending colour

Boco · 29/02/2008 18:05

Yes, red one is pretty.
Do you think go eveningy then? Is that too eveningy?

OP posts:
mazzystar · 29/02/2008 18:05

that red one is gorge

what shoes would one wear with summat like that?

whizz56 · 29/02/2008 18:05

mazzystar · 29/02/2008 18:06

is it a private view jobby?

Boco · 29/02/2008 18:06

So do you think it would be a cop out to go in a simple black dress like this one?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 29/02/2008 18:06

the red one is perfect
not too eveningy at all

FrannyandZooey · 29/02/2008 18:07

YES I DO think it would be a cop out
get something fun you can wear again

FrannyandZooey · 29/02/2008 18:08

that tunic thing would look like a sack
Boco has got proper figure not to be hidden in sack

MrsBadger · 29/02/2008 18:08

lbd very acceptable btu not exactly exciting

Coast has some corkers but a bit pricey - try this one
