Haeckels subscription box

No spoilers please, but had anyone had their August box yet? Last month I received it on July 1st but I've not even had a dispatch email yet.

I'm happy with my box. I haven't had either of the items before. Still hoping for a couple of certain things each month , but won't mention them now whilst people are waiting.

So, once you’re all in receipt of your box, if anyone wants the seaweed tea and pluviophile sticks/holder as a swap for one of the items do please let me know before I try and suss Vinted out! 🙂

I'm still waiting. Of course. 🙄 Royal Mail should have delivered this morning but seems they only made it as far as their regional sorting office. I am seriously wtf. This happens every time. Because RM near me are shit.

But I read the spoiler link posted on Discord so I know what's in the box so don't wait for me before you start discussing. I'm actually just finishing off using one of this month's products that we were sent previously, and I'm mildly curious about the innovation one but not over-excited.

Is it just me or do Haeckels no longer include the bar code with the explanation of the box's contents? (Seriously Haeckels, I am getting so weary of you!)

I’ve had my box and have liberally used one of the products this morning. Very pleased with the box.

Spoiler alert...

I love a linen/room spray but we had one in box 6ish and there are other products we've never had. Like a body lotion in a lovely glass bottle.

I don't mind eye cream but it's not part of my standard routine.

I think I'll cancel and have an advent calendar. But then I get FOMO 😆

So this will be the last subscription box. Has everyone received the email?

I'm not surprised. I do think it's very poor to have sold annual subscriptions and not even see the year out. Unfortunately, in my experience with Haeckels they tend to get excited about new ideas and then 6-12 months later, they drop them. So this is another example.

Wow! @hundred I'm pleased I didn't buy an annual and had decided this would be my last box after a very mixed bunch. Wonder what is will be...

How much are they refunding? Are you getting any benefit for subbing them a large sum of money?

Haeckels said on Discord that people with a paid upfront annual subscription had the choice of a refund for the remaining amount or double the amount as a gift voucher. I'm a bit disappointed as I like the Haeckels brand - but can anybody recommend another subscription box?

I'd like another subs box as well. I like a surprise each month.

As @nicnicspicnic says, they'll refund what's left of my prepaid subscription or give me a voucher for twice the amount. I'm undecided. I've really lost faith in them these last few months so I will probably just ask for the refund.

What do people think about a quarterly box?

I think I'll sit out whatever they do next. I feel like I've been burned too many times by them.

The Liberty Beauty Drop is a great monthly box to discover new brands; or for quarterly ones: Pelegrims with full size products.

I stopped the Liberty box about a year ago and just kept the Haeckels box. I was a bit miffed about the £5 charge and some dodgy products.

I’ll check Pelegrims out, have not heard of that

Kind of hoping that if this is the last sub box then we'll get 2 perfumes, a candle, and a crab (but suspect it'll be more like the last of the seaweed tea, that beetroot drink, and the remaining incense holders).

😂😂😂That's the best laugh I've had all week, thanks @jurassictart Btw some (deluded) person is selling their box's sample of beetroot probiotic for £12 (!!) on Vinted. Must be long past its best before date by now but I guess it takes all sorts.

When I read that one of the Directors is ex-Haeckels and then saw that a lot of the products are similar (swap seaweed for grapes), I was in! Very excited to try a whole new world of products, especially when they're locally made and independent. I also really like that shipping is FREE (one of my recent gripes with Haeckels is that they raised the amount you had to spend to get free shopping to a silly level and if you pay for shipping, it wipes out the benefit of using your subscriber discount).

Re Pelegrims, do you pay £32 then get your box quarterly? Do you pay separately each time or is it a subscription? I couldn't find much information. Thank you.

I'm now another subscriber to Pelegrims. You should be on commission @Humboldt22 😀 It was just what I was looking for.
