Can I see everyone's non traditional wedding dresses please.

Or any dress you'd love to get married in, or wear to a special event.

I am getting married and don't know what I want, but know I don't want white or traditional.

This is mine - I had second thoughts about my original dress so I bought a load of silk a couple of days before the wedding and my mum whipped this up. The top is partly held together with safety pins 😆it was a bit like the final challenge on Sewing Bee!

Love the vibrant colour of this dress, so flattering too. Btw, red is the most favoured bridal dress colour in Asia, so love all the red dresses/jumpsuits here too.

This was mine, from M&S. Absolutely loved it as soon as I tried it on. Wore it with a silver lace cardigan

I got married in a second hand ivory silk dress. Very unusual. It was just above ankle length, a tight column stile with a deep V at the back. Perfect for a registry office.
I would chose emerald green if I got married again...

Great to see everyone's lovely dresses. Mine was a pink Monsoon silk dress for £35 from Ebay with £4 tiara from Claire's Assessories.

I made my dress so posting here is potentially very outing as it's truly one of a kind but here goes... The embroidery took approximately 100 hours.

That dress is breathtakingly lovely

Perfection. So wonderful to have mums knit or sew something for the wedding.

I made this, hacked two patterns together. The underskirt was black netting, and there’s a fold out detail in the back bodice. I adored this dress 🥰

At my wedding reception my friend's mum asked 'did you wear that all day?' and said she thought I'd go for something more wedding-y! I had a white princess dress for my first wedding and this one is way more me.

Had my wedding dress made by a lovely woman who worked as a seamstress for the English National Opera (contacted through a close friend). Pattern Very Easy Vogue, material Yves St Laurent. 1995. Sometimes joke about curtain material, but actually, I still love it.

It just shows that as long as the Bride looks happy, she will look like a bride no matter what she wears. All these dresses look weddingy cos the wearer looks so happy!

I was heavily inspired by Stephanie Seymour in the November Rain music video. I loved and love it. Worn with massive voluminous veil, platform heels and huge white bouquet. I looked like a cloud!

(not my actual dress, an inspo picture we used for the designer)
