I am getting married and don't know what I want, but know I don't want white or traditional.

I got married in November, and wore a bespoke coat over a simple A-line shift. My mum is a dressmaker who used to work for a bridal company so I was able to design exactly what I wanted.

I wore this dress from Phase Eight.

How lovely, you look gorgeous and have a lovely memory of working with your mum on this. I really like the colour too!

Mine was £27 on eBay. Not many photos on the day (registry office with just two witnesses), so I've cropped this from the only one I can find showing it full length.

Looking at this, I really think I should have ironed it!!!!!!!!

Defiantlynot41 I got my going away outfit from Droopy and Browns. Thank you for the memory, took me right back - too far back but I loved that outfit.

This was mine if tartan is your thing. Handmade by me in silk dupion with silver paper lame underneath. I struggled to find a traditional dress that I liked

If I was doing it again I would go for a NancyMac dress and coat

It’s a few years back but a half Scottish friend of mine wore a Vivienne Westwood very similar this to get married in - she looked stunning!

This was mine, which I got from the Debutante department of Debenham as it was. I knew what I wanted. I couldn't find what I wanted anywhere. In desperation, I went into Debenham as my last stop. I thought I would have to have my dress made. Then I spotted this

I wanted a traditional wedding dress shape but in a good colour, so I had to have a friend make this.

I was heavily inspired by Stephanie Seymour in the November Rain music video. I loved and love it. Worn with massive voluminous veil, platform heels and huge white bouquet. I looked like a cloud!

loving this thread. My dress was from Top Shop, midi length cream with spaghetti straps and a little matching jacket. I used to wear the dress minus the jacket to go clubbing in.

This was mine a couple of weeks ago. I had it made though as I wanted a detachable train and it made in fab silver colour rather than white.
