I am getting married and don't know what I want, but know I don't want white or traditional.

Delightful. You really felt the need to criticise a dress someone has already worn for a special occasion and said that they still wear and love? That's rather rude.

Actually, I got lots of compliments about it in real life and still do when I wear it. Even my mum liked it and she usually despairs over my post-goth addiction to black.

The nun comparison is quite funny, though. There was nothing nun-like about our wedding. Unless you know some very strange nuns.

I’ll be getting my dress from Lucy Can’t Dance. They have so many cool dresses including sequin ones but this is one of their dresses

If this picture attaches... I wore a dark green velvet dress, long midi length, fitted top and long sleeves. From Monsoon.

This is mine - I had second thoughts about my original dress so I bought a load of silk a couple of days before the wedding and my mum whipped this up. The top is partly held together with safety pins 😆it was a bit like the final challenge on Sewing Bee!

Obviously not me in picture but I wore a pale blue tilly prom dress from the pretty dress company. We decided the date to get married really not long before the day so needed something that would arrive quickly.
Loved it and it has pockets

The silk skirt and knitted jumper has to be my favourite it’s beautiful, elegant and classy and so wonderful that your mum made a part of it.

The silk skirt and jumper combo reminds me of Olivia Palermo's wedding outfit. She wore similar.
