I bought myself M&S Apothecary Warmth - very nice woody spicy for a tenner. It has lasted all day.

I ordered a 6 sample box from Parfums d’Empire. Good value at £20 including P&P. I do have covid at the moment, but was disappointed that none are pleasing to me. Had high hopes for Azemour Les Orangers but don’t get any real warmth or citrus from it . Isola Scandola is like a meh unisex 90s fragrance with a backdraught of bathroom cleaning product. And so on.

@TheGander did you get Ambre Russe? I adore that - I could quite happily wear it every day.

No it doesn’t. I think I did try Ambre Russe on in the Paris boutique and was impressed, it’s very luxurious smelling.

@ThreeImaginaryBoys M&S Warmth did last all day day on me, however the Relax perfume didn't which is a shame as I really liked it.
Just looked at the perfume notes & lo & behold it's got my favourite - Cedar so no wonder I like it! And also lavender which I like too.

Haven't posted here for years but am just after some advice/suggestions from the fragrant experts 😃

My lovely DH went a bit rogue this year and bought me Maison Margiela 'Under the Stars' for Christmas. I do quite like it but it's very masculine (huge leather opening) and I'm thinking it might be good to layer it? Any suggestions? TIA

I received some lovely unexpected fragrance gifts. My husband and I had agreed to exchange little things only as we're having a nice trip away in new year. However he got me 24 Faubourg at the airport. Lovely especially since it's still not available in shops.
My daughter has heard me moaning about the demise of Estée Lauder Sensuous Noir for years. She gave me a body spray of Victoria's Secret Bombshell Oud - and she's right- it is similar!

I sometimes use Rituals L'Eclat when layering. It's designed for that, although I think equally lovely on its own. It's a woody ambery pencil shavings type fragrance and you can get the travel size for £15-18.

I am loving Santal Volcanique by Maison Crivelli. I love sandalwood anyway. I got it in a tester box with other stuff but this stands out!

Forgot to say I looked it up online and it is about £70/80 so will have to wait a while to get a normal size bottle!!!

L'Occitane Verveine today, it's great fun and almost fizzy!

Just recently I have been using an old favourite. White Satin I think it is. I believe it used to be made by Lentheric? Any way I have a body spray of it from Taylors of London - also have Panache too.

For new year’s eve I am wearing Modern muse le rouge. Fantastic smell 🥰

Lovely Perfumista's, could you please help me find a perfume that's similar to a candle that came in the Vogue advent calendar? It's called Crisco Disco, is there anyone who has given it a sniff and knows of something similar in a perfume?

I tried Soufflé Marais in the Massimo Dutti shop today. Seemed to me to closely resemble Prada Infusion d’Iris but even nicer to my nose. After walking round town I still loved it and decided to buy it online when home - but was disappointed when I realised that Massimo Dutti’s fragrances are much more expensive than Zara and that this particular one doesn’t seem to be available online in U.K. except as part of a three pack with two other fragrances I tried but didn’t like in store. Oh well - another good reason for a visit to Spain.
