Edward touched by being able to introduce his wife as the Duchess. This obviously means a lot to them, as a link to his late father.

Thanks for the new thread @Maireas, fab title! It's nice to be back on these threads briefly but as they're just about the only thing I read on MN these days I'm hoping I'll be able to catch up with some RSAB folk over on the alternative site I know a few people are heading off to and keep the bling alive there. But I wanted to say thanks to all the lovely contributors over the years particularly Maireas for keeping the line of succession going when our original QueenoftheAndals departed before I leave, Wishing you all much love, bling and splendour!

I went on a Buckingham Palace tour last year, exactly a fortnight before QEII died actually, so I'll probably go again this summer as the tickets are valid for a year. I should imagine there'll be some sort of coronation exhibition and all Camilla's bling will be on display.

That reminds me, do we know what foreign royalty will be attending? I think reigning monarchs don't usually, so we'll prob get Fred and bday girl, HH and MM and CPV and Daniel but no Felipe and Letizia or Max and Wax. Maybe ex-Queens Sofia or Beatrix instead? I'm not sure Leonor or Amalia are ready to represent their parents just yet but Elisabeth of Belgium is a possibility. She's a bit older and lives in the UK anyway.

That’s very touching actually. I do like the sense of history, heritage and continuity which comes with being royal/of the aristocracy.

It helps that Edward is lean like his father. Andrew wouldn't be able to wear his suits, even if he wasn't disgraced!
