What a lovely wedding. Iman is beautiful, and Rania looks gorgeous, as ever. I love her dress, very elegant.

Yes Mary was in her 20s when her mother died. They had a particular hymn at the wedding in honour of her. Then the Scottish relatives took Mary's bouquet to lay on her mother's grave in Scotland.

Iman's dress was by Dior, as was Rania's.

I think Rania's dress is subtle and elegant, it must be tempting to go full on for your daughter's wedding!

Thank you for the new thread. Iman looks gorgeous, her dress is beautiful and she looks so happy. I loved her henna party dress too. Hopefully there will be more fabulous outfits for the rest of the festivities.

The lace that was sewn into Mary's wedding dress came from a piece that belonged to Princess Margaret of Connaught (Queen Ingrid's mother, Daisy's grandmother).

Thank you to @TangledUpInTiaras and @paradyning for the explanation. For post-colonial reasons I’m guessing these little snippets of history are not known to us. I always have a little moment of eyebrow raising when I hear of Princess whoever of Connaught.

Iman looks stunning, what a beautiful classic dress.

Loved Rania's dress and also the burgundy and pink outfit she wore to the Henna ceremony.

I know we're supposed to stick to the fashion but could we have an honorary mention to Princess Iman's cake...

That cake is amazing

Omg I wouldn't want to eat it, it's so pretty! The word splendid was made for that wedding cake!
I hope it was the traditional fruit & marzipan wedding cake as that & Christmas cake (well actually they're technically the same cake) are my favourites!
I love marzipan ❤️
Have I told you how much I love marzipan & wedding/Christmas cake just in a case a certain queen/mother of the bride is on our threads (highly unlikely but you never know 🤔😂)

I don't like the dress. The neckline seems really strange and too much.

Iman's wedding dress is beautiful along with Rania's dress.

Bride, groom & brides parents look so happy. Though I bet their mouths were aching from all that smiling.
I remember my wedding day me & my DH were smiling so much that our lower face muscles were still aching the next day.
I suppose you could call that an occupational hazard/injury 😂

Iman dress beautiful

I'm getting old. Once upon a time i looked forward to the Oscars for the Frocks and rocks. Last night I just wondered why most of them had borrowed grannies net curtains. Honestly it's bra, knickers and artfully draped nets this year 🙈

I couldn't agree more, @justasking111 .
All about bodies on display.
What happened to beautiful gowns?

My god that is one helluva cake!

@justasking111 totally agree with you. Was reading about Hugh Grant's interview and saw the interviewer was basically interviewing him in her bra and knickers, no wonder he couldn't wait to get the interview over and done with.

I watched that interview and he was pretty rude. I felt sorry for her. It can’t be easy!

Also yes abou the gowns. Do I need to see artfully arranged curtains with peep legs? I do not.

Yep, Hugh Grant is a dickhead, can't stand him.

The interviewer's outfit was ridiculous though.

Jamie Lee Curtis looked amazing.

She really did. I do think you could put her in most things and she’d look amazing though. She’s just impossibly striking. And, in my eyes, just beautiful.

Angela also looked amazing. Though nothing spoils a beautiful look more than a face like a skelped arse.

@WontTheRealSlimSheldyPlsFuckoff 😂😂 too true!
Women like Jamie Lee Curtis show that it's ok to be an older woman, and you don't need to be stretched and filled to within an inch of your life to look good.
Sadly, a couple of the royal women are going down that route a bit.

My favourite outfit was Malala Yousafzai's - just beautiful!

Margaret was a grandchild of Queen Victoria. She died unexpectedly at 38 years old (she was 8 months pregnant at the time), leaving 5 living children.

Also shows that you don't have to spill out of your dress to look fabulous. Malala looks elegant & yet still manages to look modest yet sexy but intelligent all at the same time.
Certainly an Fck You! to the Taliban, whether that was intentional or not.

Completely agree with the comments on the Oscars - I am definitely getting old - see-through and netty with all your bits sticking out doesn't do it for me.

I loved Cara Delevingne's dress although I would have felt obliged to sew the split up a bit.
