New thread

Thanks for new thread!
@faustina I hope so too, everything next size up has sold out! I think I’ll be ok with the skirt as it’s elasticated. I ordered a dress though and it could be problematic. I’m on a weight loss ‘journey’ though so that will be some inspiration!
TempleofZoom · 25/02/2023 15:51
Thanks for the new thread.
Keen to see what's in the new drop.
Still peed off at the pricey patched up stuff
ScottishMouse · 25/02/2023 15:59
Thanks for the new thread @Countmeout
I’be been catching up on the old thread this morning. Life has been too busy lately.
Also looking forward to seeing the new drop. I haven’t bought anything since the sale, so feel I could allow myself a purchase in March. Although I have only restrained myself in Toast…
I just dropped into Dick’s in Edinburgh and purchased a lovely top. If anyone is around these parts, they have an archive sale today and tomorrow with some real bargains. The top I got was £60 down from £225.
And now I am off to Cubitts to see about some new specs. Anyone have Cubitts glasses? There are far too many lovely frames and colours to choose from!
dudsville · 25/02/2023 16:11
Hey, does anyone have a link to the first of these threads?
MiracleToast · 25/02/2023 16:18
Thanks for the new thread @Countmeout
Dry feb successful over here... have saved a lot of the current season already and so hoping some will make it into a sale.. whenever that shall be.. and excited to hear there will be another drop soon.
Feels very spring like up here in the highlands today. The pink smoke linen shirt is calling me...
Hope you are all having a lovely weekend 🌷💕

I think this might be the first one. I'm there under an old name. Some lovely things on there, it's interesting to look back.
AmethystMoonShine · 25/02/2023 17:12
Thank you for the new thread. I’ve also been so busy I’ve only just caught up on the old thread.
Like many I’m flabbergasted by the Toast renewal prices. Great idea but it’s a no from me.
Love some of the sideline pieces but wary with sizing and having to pay high postage and for returns and same for exchanges.
Looking forward to the new Toast drop shortly. Sadly the few bits I like currently are totally out of my price range. I’m selling quite a few bits on Vinted and EBay at the moment and plan to list more, so hope to have a little pot for new purchases soon.
I managed a total no spend on anything clothing related in February so am quite astonished at my restraint
Noeggsontoast · 25/02/2023 17:19
Thanks for the new thread. I've still lots of catching up to do and haven't seen the recent video. I've managed a Toast free February, but dismayed to see today the tie waist jumpsuit is out of stock in almost all sizes! I love the fracap ola sands in olive - I have the tan already, so comfy. I've spied some striped collared tees in some of the online photos, that look lovely. Hope they're in the next drop.
mrstrickland · 25/02/2023 18:19
Hi @ScottishMouse , would you say its worth visiting Dick's sale tomorrow? Did there seem like there was much stock left? What kind of prices? Thanks so much! Can't decide whether to go or not...!
TerrierOrTerror · 25/02/2023 18:24
Marking my place.
I haven't had chance to go and try the new checked dress on, but I will hopefully next weekend. Currently on a weekend break 10 minutes from Kilver Court but unlikely I'll make the trip. I have however been wearing my Toast dresses all weekend. I got the current season version of the sale plum check on eBay a few weeks ago for a bargain (compared to the current Toast price of £215). Material isn't as soft as the plum fabric but otherwise it's a great dress.
ScottishMouse · 25/02/2023 18:37
Hmmmm @mrstrickland , probably depends how far a trip it is for you. There was still plenty of stock at about 3pm today. Trousers, shorts, T-shirts and tops/shirts, a few dresses & jackets. No knitwear sadly. Lots of menswear. Everything had a coloured sticker and different colours were different prices. Lowest price was £20 for some Sunspel T-shirts, I bought a top for £60 that had been £225 full price. I think prices went up in £10 or £20 increments to maybe £100 or so. So good deals to be had. I tried on a few other things that I was tempted by.
mrstrickland · 25/02/2023 19:00
@ScottishMouse thanks, that seems good. I might well be tempted!!
faustina · 25/02/2023 19:42
@BCamera - thank you from me too - in my mind it had been going for much longer than that! I wish John Lewis still stocked toast - all so much easier (and cheaper) then

Ah, those were the days. We were all going slightly crazy with lockdown and the JL ‘give it away’ sale.
Countmeout · 25/02/2023 20:23
Enjoyed reading some of that old thread. John Lewis reductions made it look so very reasonably priced.
MaroonedOnADesertIsland · 25/02/2023 20:35
I like the fact the very first thread has someone finding a "secret door" into the sale. That's become a tradition of these threads!
Funny to spot some of the regulars on this thread. I didn't see myself (under a different name). Summer 2020 was definitely a fruitful toast season for me - I loved almost everything and spent lots of money.
I tried my fracap Ola sandals with socks around the house but I'm not sure I feel confident wearing them out that way when it is a bit warmer. How are people planning to wear them a eg with what kind of sock? I need some guidance!
Those who like the gingham trousers and dresses have you also looked at roake and love and squalor who both do similar? Might be an alternative if toast sells out.
neveradullmoment99 · 25/02/2023 21:58
I miss John lewis stocking Toast. Such a shame!
Thanks for the thread!
Looking forward to the new drop of clothes. Wonder when it will be online? More temptation. I should really sell some stuff!
neveradullmoment99 · 25/02/2023 22:08
So Im monitoring the renewed stuff. So far, I'm not seeing anything sold!
If it is, it's very few. There are 60 things still there and I'm sure it was roughly that when they went live!
No wonder!
neveradullmoment99 · 25/02/2023 22:08
You need to type renewed into the search otherwise it doesn't come up with it all or the number of items for sale.
neveradullmoment99 · 25/02/2023 22:10
Oh they have sold!!! When you click on them you can see its sold. I thought they would just remove them. Cannot believe people are buying!!
