I’ve just spent a pleasant couple of hours reading through that first thread, I think we’re still all talking about the same things - prices, when will the sale be, how things aren’t designed for the larger busted amongst us - all very interesting.

I am still away -in Portugal atm enjoying vanlife and some spring like weather- so haven't been buying , but also looking forward to the new drop .. Another couple of weeks until we are back..
I really cannot get over the new prices though.. I want to try the striped balloon trousers though if they are still available in my size when I get back and am going to list a couple of pairs if the striped Alix trousers which I dont wear much in the hopes of making enough money to buy them ..

I've enjoyed looking back over the early threads, so wonderful seeing the ethos and spirit of this thread right there at the beginning! In the first thread someone predictably commented about the clothes not being stereotypically sexy and everyone responded to intelligently.

It's silly, but seeing the items that are no more though made me really want to shop. I won't but i will enjoy the next sale.

I might try sandals with socks today.

Funny to spot some of the regulars on this thread. I didn't see myself (under a different name). Summer 2020 was definitely a fruitful toast season for me - I loved almost everything and spent lots of money.

I tried my fracap Ola sandals with socks around the house but I'm not sure I feel confident wearing them out that way when it is a bit warmer. How are people planning to wear them a eg with what kind of sock? I need some guidance!

Those who like the gingham trousers and dresses have you also looked at roake and love and squalor who both do similar? Might be an alternative if toast sells out.

I'm afraid I'm staunchly in the socks and sandals are for under 5s and elderly men camp.
Never ever going to happen here

I really miss the JL sales, I got some cracking bargains plus you could try things on without all the hovering .

Can't seem to tag you Noodle, but here are some photos, one against green (Toast) bedding and a couple against black and then some in daylight. I'm not sure if it shows their green tinge properly...The one against the green bedding definitely makes them look brown.

What size are you 'normally, high st' in trousers and what size did you get? Are they generous on the waist?
In last years balloon trousers and the fenugreek ones this season I bought XS but I am no way XS!! More a 12 maybe 14 around waist! But slim hips. I am wondering what to order in those trousers

Met a friend in a trendy town today, was going to wear the new dress but it's very cold, so I wore layers of wool socks, bostons, barrel leg cords, tee and wool sweater with the orange tweed coat. All wonderful and warm!

@Laska2Meryls I'm normally a 12 - slim waist though, big butt and thighs, I tried the 10 and 12 but the 12 has too much volume for me. Choose the 10 on the mariners too.

Finally got around to ordering the Breton tee and also the Fracap ankle shoes.

I should also be receiving the Flotsam dress from Vinted soon, I coveted this for ages last year but felt it was an extravagance, then when I did go to buy it the S was out of stock.

I was also going to order the Fenugreek trousers but the sizing is confusing me. Toast is recommending a M for me, I normally buy a 12 in trousers apart from the Gabis, which I have in a 10. Are these coming up really large for everyone? @Laska2Meryls I see you have these in an XS , do you think the S is going to be a better fit for me (I definitely don’t have your slim hips).

I thought that they were the same as pre change size @Theteapotsbrokenspout , but the navy ones definitely are not.. Its so annoying but the S were very large on me and not flattering on my tum.. I have gabis in 10 also but id say try the S first

@ToastCosILoveIt thank you so much for taking the time to take pictures of your new Ola shoes. Very helpful as I’ve now decided to switch from black to olive and will order them tomorrow. I found the pics of them by the natural light worked best and I was able to hold it up against various items of clothing including my new half-priced olive coloured Kate Sheridan waxed bag ( thank you for the tip off Faustina !!) They work well together. I think they are gorgeous and the olive is a little more interesting than black but they still work as a neutral, so all good. Thank you !!

@Noodle421 , it is a pleasure. I was intending on getting the black ones this summer having loved the tan ones last year, but as soon as I saw those Olive ones, I knew they were the ones. They are slightly less 'heavy' in colour than black and less stark with summer colours.

I'm getting more and more outraged by Toast's currency conversions...

The ola sandals are £175.00, which is roughly $310 AUD, but when you switch to the aus site, it's priced at $405 AUD.
That's a £53 price hike on top of the cost of shipping (£22), and cost of returns (£22).

I'm not sure what their logic is, as there's no extra duties or taxes to ship items to Aus/NZ. All it's done is make me want to look elsewhere to spend my money.

Does the price on the Australian site fluctuate with currency movements? If not they are covering themselves from that.

The olive Ola’s are lovely. I have the black but the olive colour is tempting me in a Whistles pairs and because those ones have a strap across the toe which I seem to need to stop my foot sliding around.

What is everyone with olive colour wearing them with? I can see how they go with my blues and blacks and greens but not with for example my bud dress or the blue and yellow check one .

Yes I can see them with denim navy and greens @Laska2Meryls . I have a bright pink T-shirt dress somewhere in the wardrobe 🤔.
Very envious of your trip laska sound a great way to spend these months.
