I was thinking today how many old brands have gone.

I remember buying my first 'real' foundation in a dept store when I was about 15. The store was the House of Fraser group. I bought Yardley foundation and my Mum came along with me to look at the shades. It was in a turquoise tube, not unlike the packaging now of some Clinique products.

The others I used were
Outdoor Girl
Miners
Mary Quant ( a real treat as it was expensive.)

Me and my friends used to spend ages on Saturdays in Woolies looking at Outdoor Girl and Miners.

I used to love a tiny pot of Miners lip gloss.

Sunsilk de parfum and Yves Rocher!

I had that Tinkerbell set, purchased from Woolworths in the 80s!

Yves Rocher only stopped selling in the UK 4 or 5 years ago, I think

I'm going to have dig in my make up drawer and post pics of the ancient stuff

I've been using the Wash and Go shampoo and my hair has looked bloody amazing all week!!! I need to stock up!

Ah I didn’t know that!, thank you. Unfortunately no Daisy doll for me.

She was a lovely doll. Mine sadly lost but I still have some of her clothes.

Bumping this old but most excellent thread, does anyone remember An Original Formula by Boots No 7?

It was a lovely country themed range with bath products and a very strong herbal smelling perfume, I loved that back in 1980!

Also Boots Rainflower perfume was lovely, advertised with a wavy haired maiden posing in a misty meadow if I remember rightly, the perfume was a watery floral in my memory.

Drugstore products were brilliant back in the day.

Anyone remember Stevie B perfume - along with Charlie it was the smell of my teens!!

Prescriptives make up was brilliant & actually looked pretty natural for the day. I absolutely adored the Prescriptives perfume Calyx. Pore minimiser make up by Clinique was another big thing for oily skin then. I remember wearing it at school.
Miss Selfridge iridescent nail varnish was a big thing then. Plus the bronze metallic lipstick.Can anyone remember the name ?

Was it Iron Lady? I had that one and it was really dry

Yes wasn’t it drying, I think IL was fuschia pink, I remember the bronze one as well

I used to also wear Lilipout

I think the bronze was called Copper Knockers.

Yes!!! Thats the one...drying and made my teeth look a bit yellow but I still wore it!!

@Gatekeeper yep, I had Babe and Tramp as well !!

I bought a cherry lip balm in a little red pot from The Reject Shop. I don't know the brand but God I loved that stuff, the smell especially.

I remember it, quite spicy in my memory, not dissimilar to Charlie.

I'm so glad someone remembers it.
