LVL lashes absolutely transformed my eyes. Amazing.

50but17inside · 01/01/2023 15:50

Agree Profhilo is useless. I wasted hundreds on that. The aesthetician is now trying to persuade me to try Harmonyca but I’m very dubious.

Botox is just wondrous stuff and temple filler was good for me.

Cincinnatus · 01/01/2023 15:51

I really do like Footner.

Madamecastafiore · 01/01/2023 16:02

Duncanbiscuits which region are you based in? I have a friend who is fab, runs a PMU training school and her specialty is fixing bodged jobs and helping people who think it's not for them.

I’m in Yorkshire. PM me if this is the right region.

Perricone MD cold plasma plus fragile skin therapy on the décolletage works wonders. Was going to try profhilo but after using this cream for a while don't think I need to.

Hydrafacial. Immediate and visible results. Costs about £120 at the clinic I go to, have about 2/3 a year, completely worth every penny

can you share what the visible results you saw?

skin&me cream, took 8 weeks but now I wouldn't be without it. Cleared up my acne and my skin has an actual glow. Also stopped the first signs of ageing, and removed the fine lines I was starting to get.

Moisturiser day and night.

Eye cream religiously.

What I'm desperate for is a decent lip balm and scrub.

My main thing though was liposuction, I can't lie. Sculpting, not weight loss. Did my waist and back....(also other areas) but this made the biggest difference, previously it did not matter how small I got....I always was rectangular. Now I have a waist and no back fat. Even as a size 6 I had back fat FFS.

Sabbatical Beauty products - small batch, extremely concentrated products, made in Philadelphia. They are AMAZING - the only thing products that don't cause my peri-oral dermatitis to flame up - plus also amazing for my dryness, fine lines and unevenness of color.
For the bumpiness caused by hair on my chin, electrolysis has been incredible - my hairs are thick and coarse, but fair so not suitable for laser. Now they are completely gone.
And, the biggest game changer, Genius micro-needling with radio frequency. Had it done at the dermatologist. Painful, expensive, but it took ten years off my skin. I now have two treatments, six weeks apart, once a year. It also improved my neck laxity and lines.

Purplecatshopaholic · 01/01/2023 16:17

Coolsculpt was a complete waste of money. As was newfound (profound?) a micro needling treatment.
Botox and a wee bit of filler - worth every penny!

Tamarindtree · 01/01/2023 16:17

Ditching my stressful ex! I look twenty years younger!

Onehappymam · 01/01/2023 16:21

Micro-blading. Went to an absolute pro (her waiting list is now 18 months long!) for natural, feather strokes. Also, lash extensions - classic ones, so not overly false looking. I rarely wear make up now. Prior to these treatments my face had no definition. I look like a boiled egg in old photos!

I wonder if any eyebrow experts can recommend something for me?

My eyebrows are naturally thin and arched, and thanks to being middle-aged, grow quite long (I snip them) and I get the odd white one. Sound a right catch, don’t I?

I get them tinted, as they’re fair, but I would like them thicker. I don’t think micro blading will work, as I don’t have gaps, as such.

Is there anything anyone would recommend to stop me looking like Elizabeth I?

I also have long haired, fair thin brows. I recently started getting them laminated as well as tinted. It really helped them look thicker and fuller, downside is if your brow hairs grow quickly (as I’ve realised mine do) the results might not last very long

Lovemylittlebear · 01/01/2023 16:43

Can anyone recommend a red light therapy mask or something similar?

ideally to help with hormonal acne and if possible I would want to try and see if I could use it on my back where I get a bit of pain and on c section scar (to reduce inflammation) not sure if that’s workable x

MorrisZapp · 01/01/2023 16:48

I'd like to hear more about hydra facial too please. Post meno very dry skin here.

Madamecastafiore · 01/01/2023 16:48

I know theragun do a gun that has red and blue lights and a few other attachments. They sell them in JL.

ivegotthisyeah · 01/01/2023 16:50

Eye brow tattooing sorted my 90's brows out!

Swanna · 01/01/2023 16:51

Me too! Shame it's not permanent. I've got somebody amazing but I'm moving out of the area soon and won't have her skills anymore!

minticecreamisjustok · 01/01/2023 16:52

What I've found is amazing is a lash lift
Pedicures
Botox
A good quality facial oil

Not impressed
Micro bladed eyebrows, they completely faded away after a few weeks, maybe it's the person that done them or my skin type but wouldn't bother again.

Gels got fed up with them chipping after a week.

PammieDooveOrangeJoof · 01/01/2023 16:56

Lash lift and brow shape really opens up my eyes and makes me look fresher.

eldorado02 · 01/01/2023 16:59

Electrolysis on my facial hair (thanks, PCOS). The most painful thing ever, as in tortuous, but my God, the results are astounding. I think I’m nearly done on the dark hairs, but still have lots of fair hair to go. The second worst thing to the pain is needing to grow the hairs prior to a treatment, I.E. laying off the shaving etc so the hair is visible to the practitioner.

ThePoshUns · 01/01/2023 16:59

Q&A supergreens facial oil
Erbrorian CC cream
Magnitone Lift off micro current facial

Passerillage · 01/01/2023 17:03

Lip filler. Am in my mid-40’s and my never-amazing-in-the-first-place lips had practically vanished and I look so much better now. I have a whole bunch of beauty pie stuff that I love and highly recommend, but lip filler beats all of it.
