Micro blading (from someone who’s style I really like) defined but look natural. Game changed my face.

This

DillDanding · 02/01/2023 14:03

Lash lift - I have long lashes and the beautician said it would look amazing on me. It made no difference whatsoever.

Lumea - I’ve almost forgotten I used to have hairy (black hair too so extremely visible) legs and underarms.

Christmascracker0 · 02/01/2023 14:03

Another vote for hydrafacials and lash lifts! Both worth every penny.

Not a treatment but I will never be without my Caudalie serum (the white one), it makes your skin so lovely.

SlipperSchlepper · 02/01/2023 15:53

I'm intrigued by the hydra facial now. Can anyone tell me what the difference was that they noticed to their skin and how long did it last?

I always just kind of felt like the effects of a facial would last a week and then your skin would end up looking like it did before.

NuckingFightmare · 02/01/2023 16:03

Microblading definitely! I've just ordered some of the eyelash growth serum so I'm excited as lash lifts don't seem to work for me.

Wow NuckingFightmare that looks amazing!

caffelattetogo · 02/01/2023 16:36

Natural looking lash extensions, spray tan and brow waxing always makes me look so much better.

My skin is visibly improved immediately and looks better for about 8 weeks.

They recommend you get them every 6-8 weeks as you get better results, but I usually go 8-10 weeks.

Suzie0003 · 02/01/2023 17:54

Botox. Absolute game changer
Microblading, lip blush and winged top eyeliner means I just need to neaten brows and apply mascara each morning.
IPL. I have a Phillips lumea and love it.
Lash lift. I have a kit I paid £20 for on amazon and my partner does it for me. Not perfect results but still looks good.
Hylaronic acid on my hair to boost hydration.
Facetheory products.
I am always told I look early 20's and I'm actually 35

Hereforthedramaz · 02/01/2023 20:03

Nano and then micro needling were a game changer for me.

Had them for the purpose of melasma but aside from the improvements to that the improvement to my skin all over is amazing.

My beauty lady moved away but I'm trying a new place she recommended tomorrow.

Also love Botox, only had it once in my "wtf" lines but i loved it! Only stopped because I was advised it was not good to have it at the same time as needling (or at least needed a lot of organisation timing wise).

BangingOn · 02/01/2023 21:28

I forgot to mention my keratin blow dry. I only need it once a year and my hair looks so healthy and glossy despite regular highlights.

AngeloMysterioso · 02/01/2023 22:22

Everyone getting Botox and fillers - how are you choosing your procedures and practitioners? I’ve been giving some serious thought for a while now but I’ve no idea where to begin choosing what to have and someone to actually do it- and I live in the south east so it’s a very expensive decision!

agent765 · 02/01/2023 22:56

DuncanBiscuits · 01/01/2023 19:06

Thank you! I’ll try that!

Can you let us know how it goes?

Don't give up. I went several months and nearly gave up. Suddenly I had growth! I stopped a few months ago but the new growth is still there.

Good luck.

Kitcaterpillar · 02/01/2023 23:08

Against the run of the thread but I love profhilo. The before and after in pictures is really clear to me.

Also, Botox and good eyebrows, obvs.

katesbushh · 03/01/2023 00:33

I do asthetics part time so it's good to see what people think.

I'm torn on profhilo. It didn't do much for me when I tried it but some of my patients have had fabulous results.
I think it is really important to have a course of 3 though.

Botox 100%
Fillers yes but not all. For example some people aren't suitable for tear trough and it can actually look worse.
Lateral cheek fillers make a big difference in everyone I've treated.

Proper microneedling is fab.

Elemis cleansing balm

Nivea in the blue pot. I love this.

Powder brows not microblading.

The lvl I had was crap..didn't take at all so haven't bothered since.

janeeyreair · 01/01/2023 09:35

Do people who get Caci think this is a good deal? Caci ultimate 10 facials for 675.00

@janeeyreair Yes. If you have a practitioner who is good. Mine is fab, but the one before just wasn't as skilled with it. Is it worth having a one off treatment to see what you think? Effects are cumulative, but you should see a good, if temporary, result from the first treatment. If not, the beautician isn't that good at it. I have mine about every 7 weeks now, and just have the 'eye' facial, as that's where I need it most. At the beginning, I had the course similar to you.

The only thing I would say is that when I booked and paid upfront for the block, I wondered what would happen if something happened to my beautician, as she is a one-woman business, and I had no official proof of payment, other than the bank transfer. Whilst I luffs her, if something went wrong/long term sick/whatever, £600 was a lot of dosh to potentially lose. You may not be a pessimist like me though Grin

janeeyreair · 03/01/2023 07:49

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants thats a good idea about just having one to try it. I didn't know about the eye one, I feel thats what I need!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 03/01/2023 07:58

Yes, they'll try and flog you the whole face if they can. Twas accidental really. Beautician put her prices up after covid by about 30% so I tried it out of necessity, and the rest of my face hasn't completely in around my eyes. Yet Grin

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 03/01/2023 08:35

Hasn't completely caved in round my eyes!

jibbe · 03/01/2023 08:38

What results have you seen with proper microneedling? Have your clients had it on other parts of their body apart from their face. Would it work on upper arms for crepy skin

OP posts:
katesbushh · 03/01/2023 09:57

Microneedling isn't exclusive to the face.
I have done patients arms, stomach, back stomachs to improve the appearance of strechmarks, crepey skin and scars. (Generally acne scars though)

I have used it with success on an acne scar that I had on the top of my thigh too.
It hasn't disappeared but it is massively improved.

Just make sure your practitioner has the larger pen as you'll be there for ages otherwise haha

ClaudiusTheGod · 03/01/2023 10:42

Any recommendations for broken pores which form spots and never heal properly?

jibbe · 03/01/2023 13:01

Thank you 🙏 how many sessions do you think generally people need before they see the benefits? Does it need maintenance top ups?

Lndnmummy · 03/01/2023 13:09

Can anyone recommend a PMU in London for eyebrows and eyeliner?
