Night out in London's trendy Brixton - what to wear ?

Oh god. I am too old for this. I am going out for a friend's 40th and we are off to a 'sweaty techno' place in Brixton. I need something comfortable, impossibly trendy and preferably black to blend in with the bright young things () I will be mingling with. I have just bought some black combat type generic trousers which are actually great and fit my lardy arse well. It's a start. Where from here ? Tops ? Shoes/trainers ? Accessories ? Help !

I love the Lido. I manage to swim there before work quite a bit in the summer, and have jpined the new gym there.

I have drifted uphill - lived in Brixton for 20 years and have recently moved up the hill to Streatham hill - hello tyaca!

I do actually like the 'Emo' look but at a Lostprophets concert last year I did think they all looked the same, so much for being 'different'.
