Umm, can we talk about autumn yet?

Look, if you're the type of person still wearing sandals in October, this might not be the thread for you

But... if you are like me and an autumn-loving, pumpkin-spice drinking, leaf kicker, what's on your list?

I'll start:

Flared jeans (I have some, just looking for the right shoes/boots to wear with)
Trench coat
Tweed blazer
Barrel leg cords in a rusty colour.
Deep berry lipstick

Because some of us live in Scotland!

That makes perfect sense. Although I did say that it has to be warm enough for bare legs for me not to wear tights.

Emerald green is my colour as well, and I have seen quite a few emerald green jumpers in M and S recently.

@OllyBJolly i’m in Scotland and wore opaque tights and DM Church boots yesterday. It felt GOOD!

I love summer, but I’m ready for the season change, reckon it’s because it got hot so early and for so long this summer I feel like I’ve worn my summer clothes to death. This time last year I’d hardly worn summer clothes.

my proper autumn list - heeled brown knee high boots. Cashmere jumper in light brown or dark green. Also after wide leg or flared jeans - being petite makes this harder to find. And a pair of dark blue work trousers - forever on the hunt for a nice pair, never find them.

I have ordered a couple of merino wool jumpers from Cos which I have high hopes for.

I’ve been coveting some boots from Dune for a couple of weeks now - just found them with £30 off at House of Fraser.

They have got some really bargains on decent branded boots, so worth having a look.

They are really short ankle boots (Pandie ankle boots) that I’m planning to wear with wide legged cropped black jeans (Zara via Vinted).

Those Cos boots - they would go with everything.

I’m searching for some long boots, maybe knee high, not sure. The Cos ones are lovely but the heel is way too high for me to get daily wear out of.Love the colour, though.

I've got tan ones, similar to the Cos ones. Not had much wear out of them yet and hope to correct that this year.

@OllyBJolly Have a look at Other Stories - it's awash with emerald green.

I'm in the middle of a bit of a style overhaul and find colder weather dressing mich more difficult and expensive, so trying not to make mistakes.

I've seen this one recommended on Who What Wear but it didn't sit well on me. The bag section in M&S seems tiny in the branches near me or I'd try the other one in person too.

I’ve been hankering after some Hoff Samoa trainers for a while too. Although I’ve seen some quite nice Nike air Max now. In reality I don’t need new trainers at all to be honest. And I certainly don’t need a new coat this year which means I’m bound to see one I like!

Thank you @Softpebbles. Sadly, as I have awkward feet I never order footwear online as I end up trying on 20 pairs of boots/shoes/sandals before I find the holy grail. Several shoe retailers have closed their shops locally and I really struggle to find comfortable footwear. My last Chelsea boots were from Sainsburys, and have been going for many years.

I will do some window shopping online and see what I like the look of before I venture out. Also, I would want black boots as I am jewel winter and have nothing that would go with brown boots.

LOVE Autumn clothes. Definitely my favourite season. My office is quite casual & super young. Trends are a bit mixed so you can get away with hoodies/jeans or fun trousers with a boxy blazer.

This autumn I’m planning on wearing slouchy/chunky knitted mini dresses (varying levels of casualness), opaque black tights & black OTK Caddy boots from Clark’s (very excited to have found these again!). I’ve ordered dresses in black, cream & camel. I’m also planning on wearing slinky wide leg trousers with cropped roll neck jumpers or a thin knit. I like the colours of these trousers. Would look nice with either cream or navy. For longevity I’m more than happy to wear tights underneath :-D

I’m struggling to see what shoes would go with the trousers though. I can only wear flats. Any ideas??

I’m kinda starting from scratch because last year I wore an extension of the uniform I developed in lock down (baggy jeans, dungarees).

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie Cos is my go-to for jewellery- they always look way more expensive than they actually are, but I’ve not ventured into their clothes yet. I must say, I do love that skirt!

@Brogues What shoes would you wear with the lilac jeans? Shoes are always what I struggle with in an outfit

@happytobemrsg I happened to have some beige clogs on when I tried them on so those for transitional weather. To be honest I just got them yesterday so haven’t figured out any other combos yet but looking on Pinterest I saw lilac with tan/cognac/dark camel went well so any of those. It will be the cut of boot vs tapered hem (mom fit) I’m going to struggle with I think as I struggled a bit with my barrel legs and boots last year.

@Brogues the clogs sound cool! Are they comfy??

@TheOGCCL ive also ordered that Zara cardigan, swapped my M for an L thanks to your tip! I went for the navy. And added this one in an S. I saw it in store yesterday and it’s a lovely colour but oversized. I’m going to wear it with flowing black trousers and gold jewellery.

@happytobemrsg they are Air and Grace similar to Birkenstock clogs and fairy comfy. I also have some closed toe clog sandals from eons ago from Clarks that would work okay too.
