Beauty Advent Calendars *spoiler alert - contents discussed within thread*

Is it too soon for a thread on these? I remember last year they were all coming out or going on sale in September so not too far off.

I got the spacenk one last year and it was first ever beauty advent calendar and I loved it. Still using some of the products and have gone to purchase at least five items in full size, two of them multiple times.

This year I'll get the spacenk one again but might also go for the cult beauty as well.

As of this morning I am on a mission to use up/give away as much of my stash as possible before December so I can justify buying a calendar this year and avoid major FOMO

Think I'll go cult beauty this year.

Space nk was very similar last two years and I think I've tried all the products I want to. Lots of the high end ones just so average

I had Space NK last year. I’m still using a lot of the products. I loved it but would find it hard to justify spending that kind of money again.

I’ve been tempted the past 2 years with the Charlotte Tilbury one but never done it - might this year. I have quite reactive/sensitive skin and her skin care range works well for me. I’d love to do the cult beauty or space NK but I think a lot of the skin care products would be waste for me which is a shame

Had the Boots one couple of years ago I loved it

John Lewis for me last year and really enjoyed it.

I will look at this one first again as it was great value and the product mix/sequencing was really well thought out.

Whoever invented Beauty advent calendars deserves a medal 🥇 they bring me so much joy!

For anyone on a budget, Morrisons sold Nivea advent calendars for £15 last year. In previous years, I'd had Decleor and l'occitane but found the products in the Nivea one much more useful!!

I had a Space NK one last year, and the year before that Liberty. I'm planning to use my beauty drop savings for a Liberty one this year but if I think there is one I'd like better from elsewhere I'll go for that and use my Liberty savings to buy gifts.

@PomRuns I might allow myself to have one . It wouldn't be Christmas without!

I tend to find that space nk isn't as good value as some of the others due to small sizes, but it also tends to have the most products that I end up loving. That said, I've never paid full price for it.

F&M has always been my favourite for luxury.

Can't wait to see what they all come out with this year!

Ah ha! Here you all are! I’ve been waiting for this thread. I’ve only had a Holland and Barrett calendar before. Really enjoyed it but I have some Liberty beauty drop credit so hoping that I can treat myself to a Liberty calendar but last years calendar looked really disappointing so I wouldn’t be happy to get it unless the contents are a bit more interesting this year.

I'm out this year. They cost too much for me and I'd rather buy one thing I want than take a punt on 24 mini things. Looking forward to see whats in them though.

I'm still toying with the idea if refilling my Fortnums calendar from last year; I have so much unopened stuff to use, I can add chocolate extras and if I do it in the next few weeks and pop it back away I'll never remember what's in there. Plus I'll have a couple of hundred quid still in my pocket for Christmas.

It makes perfect sense but the FOMO is horrendous, and what makes it worse is that I won't be able to join in on the daily thread in December and I really enjoyed it 😕

There's usually a waifs and strays thread for those of us without a popular calendar. I made my own from beauty edits last year and the year before and the thread was great. In fact, I found it much more enjoyable than the specific threads as there was such variety.
