@NoCureForLove - that is a lovely dress! How long would you say it was compared to last year's?

Also you say it's stiff-is h, but they say it's lightweight. Is it a thinner fabric to last year's?

NoCureForLove · 30/07/2022 22:35

@faustina Mid calf? I'm 5'5"...

NoCureForLove · 30/07/2022 22:35

I'll post a selfie tomorrow 😀

faustina · 31/07/2022 06:57

Thank you!

Am in Suffolk (Walberswick) at the moment and the slate pinafore fits right in.

Succumbed and ordered the Tunic - will update on level of Sea Saltedness when it arrives.

Please do. Can't wait to see!

What size did you order? Your normal Toast size? ( tempted)

Stoic123 · 01/08/2022 11:05

@neveradullmoment99 - I like things loose and would get a 12 or 14 on high street depending on shop/style.

Normally a Toast 12 dress or a 10 if it's a particularly oversized style (like recent crinkle/Mila dresses). Ordered a 10 but not yet despatched.

Stoic123 · 01/08/2022 12:42

My first Toast ebay purchase arrived today and is a success. A Zadie Bloom (green) dress that was recommended by someone on here (can't remember who- but thank you) during an archive sale.

I hesitated then and lost out so delighted that I got a second chance. Will be useful for work/lunch out etc.

NoCureForLove · 01/08/2022 18:53

Denim dress as promised - but a day late!

Countmeout · 01/08/2022 19:37

Looks great @NoCureForLove . Is it heavy?

NoCureForLove · 01/08/2022 19:40

No. Mid weight. Less heavy than other Toast denim dresses I have...

faustina · 01/08/2022 20:40

@NoCureForLove - that looks lovely! Nice good dark shade of blue! Thank you for sharing it. I might be visiting the Oxford store at the weekend - maybe I'll try it on

Laska2Meryls · 02/08/2022 09:23

Well, I have capitulated! Having ordered and sent back several pairs of cheaper 'other brand' Jute Gabi lookalikes... I have bowed down to the inevitable and coughed up the Toast price...

dudsville · 02/08/2022 09:38

Resistance certainly is futile, or at least constantlybeing challenged! I'm still holding out. My wardrobe is full. My wardrobe is full. My wardrobe is full damn it!

Today's offering is the olive oil shirt dress with black arizonas and a dark grey oversized top in case of odd weather.

Laska2Meryls · 02/08/2022 09:45

Mine too! ( Except for the jute trouser hole, which will, of course, be the 'magical piece' which will tie it all together....🤣..
I have tried all others available....all went or aregoing back...Damn my Toast obsession!

Laska2Meryls · 02/08/2022 09:46

Red linen trousers and navy boyfriend tee today here..

TheChattyRat · 02/08/2022 17:24

Resistance is futile - should be our thread motto 😁
Like the sound of both your outfits and the denim dress photo up thread.
I have worn toast today - my skirt with the palm print (can’t remember the name of it now) and a white top.
I’ve watched a few recent toast videos. Nothing jumped out in the newest one, apart from the dress the presenter was wearing but is prohibitively expensive. I do like the look of the denim skirt and may send for it - it did look v high up the waist on the model tho in which case it won’t suit me.
I enjoyed the toast circle video - I didn’t realise they offered a repairing service as well. Seems like a good idea.

dudsville · 02/08/2022 20:42

I just did a quick Google, I didn't realise that came as a skirt too! I have the dress. I've just found out that I'm going to an upmarket restaurant this weekend and need to dress up. I don't really have "dress up" clothes so I'm considering the palm print dress.

TheChattyRat · 02/08/2022 20:48

I think that would work ‘dressed up’ - I really like the print.

dudsville · 02/08/2022 21:00

Thanks for the confidence boost @TheChattyRat !

ToastCosILoveIt · 02/08/2022 21:20

I am wearing the Elm Check Gathered Dress today. I snaffled a new one for £75 on EBay and it is perfect for this weather: cool and loose.

Following the styling video, I went in store last week and tried the Embroidered Cotton Kaftan Dress on. I would never have looked at it twice if I hadn't seen it on the presenter. It was fab but comes up huge: I fitted into the 8 and I am a high street 12 and usually a Toast 10. I haven't bought it but I am pondering...

I also tried on the tie neck fluid twill dress in green and although I love this style of dress usually, it didn't blow me away.

dudsville · 02/08/2022 21:29

Re sizing down, I've been wearing my new dresses that are all one size down from my high street size, and i like the fit when standing, but i find them a little snugger when sitting. It's made me think about their oversized patterns and where the ease is in these dresses. I'm still happy with the fit of my dresses, but I'm beginning to see why they run big. I still wouldn't want my high street size, but when I've tried on I've tried a dress on the dresses 3 or 4 sizes down hoping fit a neater fit I've lost the ease.

Countmeout · 03/08/2022 14:08

Thought this sideline dress looked nice if anyone likes the dress in the Toast video it might be an option. No less spendy though.

ScottishMouse · 03/08/2022 14:16

Do we think there might be new things coming soon?
I noticed that a stockist in Dublin has a few things on their website that Toast aren’t showing yet. I like this scarf: scoutdublin.com/collections/clothing/products/toast-bold-check-cotton-wool-scarf-sand-cobalt
and this dress:scoutdublin.com/collections/clothing/products/toast-organic-needlecord-workwear-dress-cornflower-blue
Scout in Dublin is a fab shop, by the way. I always visit when I am there seeing family. It’s obviously not the place to shop for Toast from the UK, but if you happen to visit Dublin, check it out for other lovely stuff.

MrsCat1 · 03/08/2022 15:02

@Countmeout I have a previous version of that Sideline dress. I can certainly recommend it. Sideline have just launched their latest collection. It has some lovely things.
