Has anyone tried the diamond block print dress? It's started calling my name.

mizu · 28/07/2022 21:50

Mrscat I have this and adore it.

Got mine from the TOAST sample sale at Kilver earlier this year before it came out officially. It is so wearable in the hot weather and the colour is beautiful.

MrsCat1 · 28/07/2022 22:01

@mizu Thank you. It's calling even louder now!

Gonegrey31 · 28/07/2022 22:14

I have that dress , it is a generous fit so do bear this in mind when choosing a size . The colour is really lovely and the photographs don’t do it justice !

Countmeout · 29/07/2022 07:55

I think that dress looks lovely @MrsCat1 . It’s such a nice colour.

I think the Bloomsbury group were fairly flat chested so probably could wear Toast clothes!

AmethystMoonShine · 29/07/2022 11:14

Was it just me googling Bloomsbury Set images last night? Grin
I ended up looking at green paint for my conservatory!

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 29/07/2022 13:17

Me too @AmethystMoonShine Grin . Although I’m quite fond of green paint.

Countmeout · 29/07/2022 14:42

There’s a lovely green in Monk’s House.

dudsville · 29/07/2022 15:47

I was also thinking of the Bloomsbury set a lot too, and thinking about others mentioned in a few customer reviews on some things on the toast site. I was thinking about trying to make some little reminder for my wardrobe!

dudsville · 29/07/2022 15:48

Ray Eames was one mentioned I think re the vine print shirt dress.

Stoic123 · 29/07/2022 17:57

Am in Suffolk (Walberswick) at the moment and the slate pinafore fits right in.

Succumbed and ordered the Tunic - will update on level of Sea Saltedness when it arrives.

faustina · 29/07/2022 19:05

@Stoic123 - please do. I can imagine Walberswick is Toast Central

AmethystMoonShine · 29/07/2022 19:37

Mmmm maybe if Toast are reading they’ll give us a Suffolk Toast? I can hope!

Saurus72 · 29/07/2022 20:48

@Stoic123 Walberswick lovely - like going back in time 😊. Are you venturing across to Southwold? Collen & Clare’s nice for a wander round, quite expensive tho.

Stoic123 · 29/07/2022 21:04

@Saurus72 Not this time. Collen & Clare does have some nice stuff.

ScottishMouse · 29/07/2022 22:05

Got back from holidays to find two parcels waiting for me 🥳
A pair of Toast gingham culottes I bought on eBay. Haven’t tried them on yet but they look lovely. Very like the ones someone upthread got at one of the archive stores, but 100% linen.
The other parcel is from You Must Create. I had never bought from them before but spotted a couple of nice pieces in a small boutique when I was on holidays, although not in my size. I was impressed with the quality and attention to detail. Need to try them on tomorrow too but I’m hopeful. Has anyone any experience with this brand?

NoCureForLove · 30/07/2022 08:20

My menfolk - young and old - are big fans of YMC. Some lovely prints and good fabrics.

I will be on Suffolk coast from tomorrow! Will look out for fellow Toasties...

NoCureForLove · 30/07/2022 08:23

I bought this - as I only have twelvety hundred denim dresses 😊
Is very nice dark, stiffish denim and neater than a lot of Toast dresses.

NoCureForLove · 30/07/2022 08:23

dudsville · 30/07/2022 09:08

That's gorgeous!!!!

mizu · 30/07/2022 09:57

That denim dress is beautiful. Did you take your regular / real life size then? I usually size down for TOAST dresses.

May have to go in and try that one on.

JustforToast · 30/07/2022 10:15

NoCureForLove · 30/07/2022 08:23

That is a very nice dress @NoCureForLove
Looks good and neat at the shoulders. Hard to tell whether straight or a-line in the body?

NoCureForLove · 30/07/2022 10:28

I am a 12 in most Toast dresses. I bought this in a 14 as was tooo neat and I prefer a liitle room. A lineish but subtly so, not voluminous.

Snowyowl78 · 30/07/2022 14:13

I wore the Lofty Wool Cashmere Sweater out last night and it was like wearing a fluffy cloud!

AmethystMoonShine · 30/07/2022 15:42

I love mine @Snowyowl78 I’m hoping for more colours in that jumper 🤞🏼if you’re reading Toast….
