Just had a non-sale delivery, all of which is going straight back in the parcel. I ordered the slate needlecord workwear dress in a size small. I need this size for the bust, but from there down it is vast, far too big and unflattering. It also arrived really creased. I do wish they would sort that out.
I also ordered the neat cashmere wool sweater in the new pebble colour. I ordered two sizes to try. The small is actually larger than the medium, but both are too short. I was hoping for something long and slim to layer over, but this is not it.
Disappointing, but good for my purse. I have two sale parcels on the way, maybe they will be more promising.

Just had a despatch notice for my sales order! Includes the indigo skirt as the patch pocket lighter denim one did nothing for me - my one last try at a skirt this season.

I’ve ordered the batik top, seersucker dress and denim skirt. My denim workwear dress arrived today and I love it, looks great on. I think I may have to wash it before wearing though. I’d like some lace wool tights to wear with it, seen some nice ones on Brora but ££££

What did you decide re that skirt @AFingerofFudge ? I wish they had a pic of the top and skirt together as I think that could make a really nice outfit, but for me the sand colour means it's not a good choice for me.

I've had a dispatch notice for the order with the denim skirt. I had to order a 12, and would normally order a 14, so I'm hoping I have a reverse like the above! But if anyone has ordered a 14 and decides to return it please let me know!

Still not liking the brown and nothing in the current season is making me want to part with my cash.
Off topic but Im so sad that Hilary Mantel has died

love toast trousers atm, their design is very clever

also bought the peaks print easy dress. Bought a 10 as the 8 was a bit snug under the bust and I want a swishy look. I love that cupro fabric they are using, not sure what it’s made from but it’s got a lovely feel against the skin.

also got a denim jacket that I definitely don’t need. Can’t see it online , it has asymmetric front buttons and is very nice. Will wait to see does denim jacket buyers remorse kick in

and then I log onto mumsnet and see there’s a sale!

MsDasterdley I tried that seersucker dress on in the summer. It's lovely.

Fading summer sale was disappointing nothing I wanted in it..

Hilary Mantel is very sad & 70 is no age nowadays. Appreciated her distinctive voice. She talked about the royals being in a gilded cage and you really felt that recently having to grieve in public..

Apparently my order is turning up this morning. Given I'm still waiting for (non Toast) parcels despatched two weeks ago I won't hold my breath, but it would be nice to be able to try and then order different sizes before the sale ends. Also hoping to get to the Richmond store this afternoon.

Absolutely gutted I bought the rowan dress at full price! Haven't even had the chance to wear it in NZ given we're just coming out of winter. I thought it would be a sell-out... oh well, only sales for me from now on I guess!

Anyway, I ended up picking up the patchwork skirt after many hours of umming and ahhing. The price was still absolutely outrageous ($500AUD for a skirt?!!?) but damn toast for making things just that bit special.

Crossing my fingers it looks just as good in real life 😬

It's painful seeing something go into a sale when you've paid full price! I'm the opposite, resigned to only being able to buy what's in a sale so i miss out on a lot!

I’ve been avoiding you all as I’ve been trudging through No Spend September. It’s somewhat worrying how gloomy that’s made me, and how excited I got about essential purchases like a new carbon filter for the water tank in the van and a tube of Voltorol gel.

@happysoju @dudsville Isn't it? I had it in my basket throughout a particularly busy day at work yesterday, but it was sold out in my size by the time I got home and decided I wanted it. I don't know whether I'm disappointed or relieved!

I might need to do a no-spend October. In the last week I've bought a pair of Stalf trousers (in the sale and a cut I know I love), a pair of Blundstones and the Finisterre trousers so many seem to love. 😬

My parcel arrived this am, paid for next day delivery when I purchased on Thursday night.

The poplin lightweight jacket in copper is a keeper and I have it on now, worn as a blouse with Toast Ashley jeans from several years ago. I wish I had bought the slate version now too. The copper one had been in my basket forever.

I bought the cotton linen twill shorts in walnut but they are going back as the colour is unflattering on my pasty legs and they also come up slightly smaller that the same shorts in slate which I already have.

I am keeping the gathered neck poplin tanktops which I bought in white and in corallite as they will look good under a light tailored jacket in winter for the office.

I am undecided on the Ikat boxy shirt: I bought my husband the men's version in the summer and he wore it every week and looked fab in it. I am not sure if the colour is right for me (he is dark, I am blonde).

I am keeping the painted falls PJs as they are lovely for summer and the orange fan, having already bought a green one in the summer.

There seems to be a lot of sold out items already.

@pamshortsbrokenbothherlegs , what are the Finnesterre trousers you are referring to please?

I think it's interesting what's sold out completely, like the denim skirt, and what's left still in all sizes, like the weird felix jeans.

@Snowyowl78 , I had tried the Ikat shirt on instore in preparation for the sale. I have the 10 which is a good fit and I am a busty high street 12.

@dudsville , yes, they will be handy. I also think they will look good with a pinafore.
