Lovely jacket @Snowyowl78 . Some great finds in Kilver.
Glad the small works in the chevron jumper @TempleofZoom . Although they’re light I’ve found they’re quite warm layered over a long sleeve T.

I’ve splashed out on the Sideline Stevie vest. I was going to save for a coat but when I thought how little I wore a woollen coat over the last 2 years thought that might not be the best move. The Stevie can be worn under lighter coats or by itself as a layer. Tracked one down from a small stockist who had a few still in stock.

only things on my Toast list when new stock appears is another cashmere/wool jumper and (shoot me now) maybe a pair of brown Gabis if they appear in brown or the cord pair shown here in a pale colour as they look like the shape I like

I soothed my sorrows with a Ebay Toast splurge (3 dresses and a jacket for same price as fluid dress) so may have to wait till next month (and hope still in stock).

@Countmeout I love the look of that Stevie vest from Sideline. So many of their things seem to sell out almost straight away. Do post feedback on it.

So @MrsCat1 . Possibly the worst week weather wise to have got this. I have tried it on briefly with some trousers and jumpers/blouses. I have put it with my winter stuff. It’s quite heavy, beautiful quality, dry clean only ( but possibly won’t need more than a surface clean. It’s reversible to the tan side. Fit - quite generous in the shoulder but neater through the body. I bought medium, I’m 10 in quite a few Toast things 12 in a button front dress. ( although some too big). It fits well under a lightish linen cotton coat I bought recently from Arket, haven’t tried it under any other coats so far. Think it could be worn over a workwear jacket. It fits over the coat. Just was playing with it to get an idea how it worked. The belt is not included but I have a tan belt that would work, miraculously doesn’t emphasise my bust when buttoned or belted. Really cosy and comforting. It’s wool but not sheepskin. I can see myself wearing it round the house if it’s freezing and want to avoid putting the heating on .

Thank you @Countmeout It sounds lovely. I'm just imagining you trying it on with your winter woolies in temperatures of 30 degrees plus! I'm coming out in a hot sweat just thinking about it!

Ooh a new pair of shorts has turned up on the website, they look like the space check but in a chocolate brown. They look nice! Quite late in the season for a shorts release!

Brown again though.🙄 .... Last time I wore brown shorts ( actually no I have never worn brown shorts, but a sort of shorts/ cullottey thing in chocolate brown , was on the school hockey field , or for netball ... ( Not good memories for this sports hater)

@Laska2Meryls haha yes brown, I quite like them though and I think they’d tone better with more than black/blue. I really don’t need more shorts though! Bit random that they have turned up by themselves at this point

Just catching up with you all, I'm so envious of the kilver shop and various ebay shops mentioned! I have so far managed to curb any urge to shop since the sale ended, which is quite an achievement for me. I keep putting a few things in the basket and then walking away. I think I'm going to try that white easy oxford top again though - still after that elusive top for layering and its thickness was off putting in summer but might be perfect for cooler days, and I like the neckline and sleeves so much.

Today's a random non-toast day. I'm wearing "sea side granny brand", it's the thinnest cotton and so highly patterned that I don't have to wear a bra, which is a new criterion I have post pandemic.

Oh, and I keep meaning to say, a couple of weeks back I saw someone wearing the sort of pistachio greenish woodbine shirt dress and it looked amazing on her. It was massively oversized on me with comically large sleeves and collar but this looked perfectly porportioned on her.

@dudsville that sounds perfect and I hadn’t thought of patterns not needing a bra, I shall try it!

😁@Snowyowl78 ! I learned this from a friend who I think is a little bigger than me. I'm a C cup, might go back to a B with my weight loss initiative, but I do find I can get away with a lot more withthe distraction of a pattern!

The indigo twill shirt is lovely and not on the Toast site yet. Same style as last year’s needle cord ones and the current Oxford easy shirts from what I can see.

I think the prices are different because it's in Europe @AFingerofFudge
