Apparently I have just joined Toast Kindred Smile , might celebrate by buying some tea towels.

Countmeout · 09/08/2022 20:02

Congratulations @Theteapotsbrokenspout . So tempting to order a little thing when you have it.

dudsville · 09/08/2022 21:17

Ooh, @Theteapotsbrokenspout , welcome to early sale invitations!

Anyone else counting the weeks until September in the hope of a sale?

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 09/08/2022 21:44

Thank you @Countmeout , I’m ridiculously excited about my tea towels, and definitely looking forward to the next sale.

September? That seems just around the corner @dudsville not sure my bank balance will have recovered from the last sale by then.

The big check one is very similar, and I'm also curious about the denim one. I don't think I've ever had a square neck before! Off to see the red dress...

Ive ordered the Kin denim dress in a size 8
Thanks for sharing this, its perfect for an upcoming city break as likely to be hotter than the UK currently!
Collecting tomorrow, hoping I look sleek and not expectant Grin

TempleofZoom · 10/08/2022 09:22

Ive ordered the Chevron jumper -fingers crossed small fits.
The denim shirt dress in a 10 and the Poplin tank in the corallite.

Paid for delivery tomorrow.
Will report back.

faustina · 10/08/2022 14:26

@TempleofZoom - open-mouthed at the idea of being somewhere even hotter than the UK - mind you, they probably have more A/C if it's more the norm there. I have also ordered that dress - gave the gingham one a miss as it I was less sure about it's versatility. if it doesn't work I might order the toast denim skirt. Is the chevron jumper the one they do every year? If so, the small is quite large for a small (if you see what I mean!). It's short-ish but wide, in a good way.

Thanks @faustina I was hoping it might come up a bit bigger.
I tend to wear jumpers sitting just on the waist rather than longer so fingers crossed.

What size did you order in the dress?
Im a 12 so guessed at an 8.

faustina · 10/08/2022 16:25

I've ordered an 8, but who really knows how it'll be? Their sizing is just as unreliable as Toast!

neveradullmoment99 · 10/08/2022 17:53

Looking forward to seeing your Kin dress or hearing about fit. Most of my kin dresses are an 8 or a 10. I suppose it depends on style.

I went to Toast Kilver today, lots of sale things and still a fair few samples. Naturally I spent a fortune on the new collection.

TempleofZoom · 10/08/2022 19:19

I have to confess everything Kin I have bought in the past has gone straight back.
Either enormous, as in could fit a family of 4 tent style or I really didnt like the fabric.

Hoping as this is 100% cotton and sized down, it works!

neveradullmoment99 · 10/08/2022 19:32

I have a few shirt dresses that have been great for work from Kin. They are all an 8! Kin really are way to oversized.

faustina · 10/08/2022 19:37

I ordered a nice looking vest t-shirt from them a few months ago in an XS and I couldn't breathe it was so tight, so I ordered a different style vest t-shirt in a small and it was the size of a tent

faustina · 10/08/2022 19:38

@Snowyowl78 - what did you get???

Snowyowl78 · 10/08/2022 19:49

@faustina i got the space check trousers which are lovely and comfy although a tiny bit longer than i thought,I may take them up. The loop back jersey trousers which are a lovely colour fit and shape, im not sure if they are too casual to wear out! Silly expensive though of course. Then the buttercream half sleeve tee which is lovely, again fantastically expensive.
in the sale I got a blue jacket that I have never seen before but which is exactly the same shape as this but softer and looser
www.toa.st/products/cotton-linen-twill-jacket-montella

And some of those nice napkins that were in the sale as samples for a fiver each! They had that patchwork gown as a sample for £85 which I was very tempted by but ended up putting it back as I’d already gone overboard!

Snowyowl78 · 10/08/2022 19:55

Oh and I tried on some poplin trousers which I wanted but they so voluminous that they were a bit out there and I probably wouldn’t wear them. Lovely though and light. Also tried on the fisherman’s trousers which were a bit too rigid for me.

faustina · 10/08/2022 20:25

The jacket sounds really nice. I like the current one in a kind of saffron-y colour but it's very expensive!

Snowyowl78 · 10/08/2022 20:39

It is really nice, it’s like a royal blue and very soft and comfy, I reckon it will go with a lot.

Snowyowl78 · 10/08/2022 20:39

Everything’s very expensive in the latest stock :(

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 10/08/2022 20:59

Sounds like a good day out @Snowyowl78 . Great buy with the napkins.

neveradullmoment99 · 10/08/2022 21:36

I'm definitely thinking twice about buying full price just now with Toast. Has to be something I really want. Love the embroidered dress but at nearly £300, Its just really beyond a normal price for me.
So sad they have very little under £150

Were the poplin trousers these ones @Snowyowl78 ?
www.toa.st/products/cotton-poplin-easy-pleated-trousers-blue-grey
I am waiting for these to arrive tomorrow, but I fear they may look a bit clown-like on me.
I threw a fan in my order too, I would have loved to have had it today in the heat.

Snowyowl78 · 10/08/2022 22:32

@ScottishMouse yes! They are nice, just quite an exaggerated shape and I wasn’t sure I could pull it off, comfortable and light though and they are really stylish. Hope they work for you!

AmethystMoonShine · 11/08/2022 06:58

The buttercream tee sounds interesting @Snowyowl78 I’m off to take a look. I’m hoping it’s a nice cream… I tried the chalkboard colour a few times but it made me look like a corpse.
I bought a lot in the sale and as a lot of us have said the new collection is so expensive I’ve not spent much time browsing… but I will check out the buttercream colour… just in case!
I like the sound of your blue jacket, especially it’s softness. Sounds like a good find.
