I hate having big boobs!

There's a current thread where a woman was shamed for being ' flatchested' and whilst I understood how mortified she felt by a so called friend commenting unkindly on it, it did make me think about how very much I dislike my 34g boobs.

Why? Because most fashions don't suit me. I either look frumpy or trashy. Those surrendered wife dresses that are so fashionable right now just look matronly on me, jackets and dresses are either tight on the top or too big on the hips, I have to wear either figure hugging outfits or ones that make me look huge all over, often when I go shopping I feel like I'm am alien as clothes are just not cut to fit my shape.

Even Pepperberry, which has gone out of business, wasn't great. And then, there's a snooty thread saying how you shouldn't wear cardigans, and especially not waterfall ones. Well, those are THE ONLY ONES THAT SUIT MY SHAPE!!

Why is it so hard to find decent clothes..??

I feel your pain. I'm 32gg - too low cut and you flash your cleavage, too high cut and your chest looks like a shelf. And trying on 100 dresses before finding one that looks reasonably OK. I'd love a reduction if I could afford it.

Same issue here. I exercise a lot and they’re a bloody nuisance. Proper bras cost a fortune. Nothing that buttons up fits properly without pulling. Anything baggy makes me look huge because it hangs straight off the boobs.

I’d love smaller boobs.

Thanks for your replies, women who want big boobs don't get what an impediment it really is. I've had back problems for decades because of them, but could I get a reduction in the NHS? NO...

Also, I was trying to buy a leather jacket. Ended up buying 4 different ones on Ebay. Either they were too big, too small or just hung off my boobs

I agree, I think clothes look so much better on women with small breasts, they just hang better.
My boobs make me look much bigger than I am, Id love a reduction (Im a 32gg also 😭)

I hear you OP. Also a 34G. Also breast feeding my 1 year old so clothes have to fit AND be accessible. It's a living nightmare. I look so frumpy in everything.

And dont get me started on gaping shirts/blouses …..

I also feel your pain. I actually think the worst offenders for looking frumpy and matronly are the ones that are often recommended as being flattering - 1950s style wiggle dresses and wrap dresses for example. Because they’re fine if they’re in fashion anyway, but there is a good chance you look like a caricature if you’re dressed in something you’d never wear normally.

Im a huge fan of the midi fit and flare dresses which are in fashion at the moment (well in my bubble anyway) but also I think it’s really important to try on stuff you’d never usually try on and see how it flatters your figure personally as quite often stuff you think won’t look good, actually doeS

i like fullerbustinspo for nice bigger bra recommendations and the fashion edit for nice dresses, both on instagram. The latter doesn’t cater specifically for big boobs but I like her stuff generally and think a lot of it would look good on lots of shapes

I’m 28 GG … tiny little frame .. 7st 10 at the moment and look so out of proportion 😩

I have constant headaches due to strain on my neck and shoulders from my bra straps ..
clothes shopping is a nightmare.. I’m size 6 with huge boobs ..

( feeling sorry for myself as I couldn’t get anything remotely flattering at the shops today 😂)

God that's so hard. I don't understand why it's so hard to get a breast reduction when you are so out of proportion. Sometimes I feel like it's like a disability when I think of how it's held me back in life. E.g.going running, being taken seriously at work, internet dating, dancing, swimming, travelling abroad ( to more conservative countries ). I remember O once I went to a Toastmasters event, which is about encouraging pp to master public speaking and I didn't get up and speak because I felt so self conscious about my chest.

I was a 36E so smaller than you but they hung so badly that I had constant lower back pain and neck and shoulder pain from bras and I was getting really hunched.
I would never have been able to afford a reduction in the UK so I did a lot of research and found an excellent clinic in Europe where I got a reduction at fraction of the price.
I'm not saying that everyone should report to surgery but there have been a number of comments from people saying they wish they could have one. I'm just saying it may not be as out of reach as you think it is. I'm a 34B/C now and it's been absolutely life changing. The back, neck and shoulder pain has completely gone and my posture has drastically improved.

I feel exactly the same. Every time I've complained about them I get told I'm lucky or to stop showing off. I hate them.
Back ache, shoulder pain, neck pain, bad posture. My skin is scarred from my (properly fitted) bras. I have to buy big clothes sizes to fit my top half. Bras and swimsuits cost a fortune.
Of course it's classed as a cosmetic issue

I'm only an F but since I got fitter my boobs look too big, the rest of me has shrunk and toned up but they're still there. I quite like wearing looser fitting t shirts. But they make me look fat because they hang off my boobs. So I have to wear slimmer fitting ones which makes the whole thing look revealing. I honestly do think that smaller boobs are better.

I know, even when I've lost 2 srone, my breasts seem to have barely reduced in size!!

I had mine reduced about 20 years ago as had gone from a 34D to an H after children + BF. And I'm so pleased I did - now 34E and clothes hang and fit normally with the added benefit of no sagginess! Do it if you can

I was just thinking this today too. I have a long, ageing neck and currently short hair and would ideally wear high necklines (also much more in fashion than v necks). Someone took a photo of me yesterday in a high neck T-shirt and I look all boob (30FF but also tiny legs). I swear somehow it makes my stomach look bigger too. I think ladies with smaller boobs, such as my centenarian grandmother, look more elegant and age better. Quite aside from looking overtly sexy if not very careful - fine if that’s what you’re after but that’s unlikely to be all the time.

And scarves aren’t really in these days, I used to hide them away that way.

You’re right about cardigans too, I’ve been having some success with blazers (not attempting to do them up). But fashion at the moment doesn’t seem a good fit for a big chest.

36G here. Everyone said that when I got pregnant my boobs would get bigger. They did. They said when I started breastfeeding they'd get bigger. They did. Then they said when I stopped breastfeeding they'd get smaller. They didn't. They stayed the same and then got bigger when I put on weight. They're just always... there.... now I'm in my mid-40s I absolutely feel that nothing suits me, fashion doesn't work for me and things I've loved for years just don't look nice anymore. I'm really tall too, so fitted things don't work as the hip bit is where my waist is and then too tight over my (also large) arse.

Clothes undoubtedly look better on smaller chests... it's so hard to get a balance with a bigger chest. Even if you're balanced size wise in your bottom half, its getting the right balance of skin/shape shown so you don't look boxy/bigger but don't look like you're getting ready for a night out! I also think the PP who mentioned not being taken seriously at work due to a large chest is 100% right..! Especially in a largely male environment

I feel your pain. I was a 34GG and had a reduction & lift a month ago. It's been amazing, I now have the boobs I had when I was 14 and can go braless.

We can't relate to one and other. All you with big boobs would like to be smaller... not flat though!

I'm a size 10 in tops and size 12 in bottoms. I've learnt to make do but my bust is tiny for my shape!
