@ScottishMouse that's a bit like a baby's car seat that weighs a ton before you even put a baby in it!Grin

Has anyone seen the Diamond Block print dress that has been put up in the new stuff. I love it.

MrsCat1 · 11/07/2022 19:03

I love the diamond block print dress too. There is also a glimpse of a lovely dark blue printed dress under the new garment dyed utility jacket which looks fab.

I visited the Dering St store near Oxford Circus a few days ago. All the new things were there but very little for me because it's all the brown/beige/yellow/orange palette. However I did buy this from the new stock which is overpriced but will be very useful!

www.toa.st/products/organic-cotton-pique-jersey-shirt-blue-slate

I also gave the shop assistants lots of feedback on the colour palette so no need for me to attend the focus groups!!! 😃😃

dudsville · 11/07/2022 20:57

That was me re the bud check @ScottishMouse , thanks for the heads up, but i will say that I've worn it twice now, it doesn't feel too big as i at first thought. The shoulders and bust are nicely loose but not baggy. I think this, the French blue check and the olive oil shirt dress, all downsized one dress size, are actually quite good fits, just a shape i needed to get used to. You now can't get me out of them! It helps that i see a lot of other women also wearing this looser style now out and about.

I've also signed up for that feedback event!

ScottishMouse · 11/07/2022 21:02

Oh that’s good @dudsville. I like that style of dress to be a bit loose. Sadly, the ones I have from previous seasons are all a bit tight at the moment.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 11/07/2022 21:15

I really like that shirt @MrsCat1 - is it a shirt weight or more a light jacket?
Its one of the things that I was hoping to buy from the new season.

dudsville · 11/07/2022 21:19

That's annoying when loved things are too tight. I have the perfect toast dress for summer, a red check wrap from a few years ago and it is similarly very fitted across the chest now! I live in hope.

MrsCat1 · 11/07/2022 22:48

@Theteapotsbrokenspout
You could wear it as either a shirt or a jacket. I envisage mainly using as an over shirt with something underneath. It seems like good quality and a decent weight.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 11/07/2022 22:56

Thank you @MrsCat1 sounds ideal for what I want Smile.

Stoic123 · 11/07/2022 23:27

Has anyone bought/tried on the new season denim smock?

Wondering about sizing and material weight.

dudsville · 12/07/2022 07:02

That brown jumper I liked is back in a small. For some reason I'm not running for my card. I mean, it's warm sure, but have I cooled my sales heels?

SmaugMum · 12/07/2022 11:06

I’m really happy with my sale last swan song:

  • the Anni swimsuit because I have taken up wild swimming (yes, I realise I’m five years too late to this trend, but it’s doing wonders for my mental health and general sense of well-being).
  • another Pottery West vase
  • lots of Ikat placemats, for indoor and outdoor tables
  • a well-being basket, as, having had a year a bit like Cherries, I am focusing more time and energy on positive mental health. Also, I am a sucker for ‘naice’ toiletries in lovely jars. I was a bit perplexed when I opened this parcel as the hamper wasn’t the one I was expecting but, when I checked online, I realised that Toast had sent me the current well-being basket, still selling for £125, and I actually prefer the contents. Thank you, Toast, for honouring the order, even though I only paid £50.
  • these trousers as the Yorkshire in me was intrigued by the massive discount (£70 instead of £185) and also the lack of general interest. Honestly, they are fabulous: the fabric is glorious, and I love the slightly balloon shape, plus the tapered ankle fit.

  • oh, and a trivet, because, well, everyone else…😅

To add to our shopping list of other labels:

Made in England and strong eco credentials. Plus beautiful linens and Liberty print fabrics (swoon).

I’ve just read about her on the Alyson Walsh ThatsNotMyAge blog (I strongly recommend, if you’re not already signed up).

dudsville · 12/07/2022 11:57

I like those trousers Smaug, but i have so many pairs of their trousers. I'm curious though, are they really lined as described?

Fab "win" on the wellbeing basket, I hope it helps restore balance.

AmethystMoonShine · 12/07/2022 12:30

Hello all.....I've had only part of a return refunded and was wondering if this has happened to anyone else...it rings a bell but I couldn't recall who it might have been? Basically I ordered two field and fleur night dresses and returned both - that was the whole order. They've refunded just one....
Might this right itself in time, or do I need to take action?! Any experience of similar?

AFingerofFudge · 12/07/2022 12:31

Summer me (sitting in a beer garden waiting for friends to arrive on my day off) is wondering if Winter Me will be grateful I've bought the brown Gansey sweater that is now back in stock? I could jazz it up with that little yellow neck scarf I bought a little while ago??

FiddleFigs · 12/07/2022 12:35

@AmethystMoonShine this happened to me last week. I emailed customer services with a copy of my proof of postage (which showed the parcel weight) and they then processed the missing return/refund.

AmethystMoonShine · 12/07/2022 12:43

Thanks @FiddleFigs I'll do that now.

Countmeout · 12/07/2022 12:50

And me @AmethystMoonShine . I sent picture of postage receipt too. I imagined someone had been careless opening the parcel . Consequently now I Just order items singly as with the post pass postage is free anyhow.

AmethystMoonShine · 12/07/2022 12:53

Good idea @Countmeout - I'm thinking careless opening too - two identical nighties, very flimsy could easily be mistaken for one item I guess.

Snowyowl78 · 12/07/2022 13:25

If anyone is planning to try this, size down! It is massive
www.toa.st/collections/womens-dresses/products/gathered-sketched-leaf-dress-brown-ochre

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 12/07/2022 13:40

I noticed it already says in the description it runs large @Snowyowl78 I’m normally a 10 or small in Toast dresses, how large is it?

Snowyowl78 · 12/07/2022 13:42

@Theteapotsbrokenspout i got a S and it’s still roomy, I think S is the right size for me in it but IRL I’m a 14. I’d usually buy a 12 Toast dress really. I like it but the colours aren’t great on me so I’ll probably return.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 12/07/2022 13:46

Looks like I would need an XS then @Snowyowl78 , I really like the style but I’m not sure about the colours either.

Snowyowl78 · 12/07/2022 13:48

@Theteapotsbrokenspout Im blond and pale and they weren’t really my colours, could have done with something bolder. Shame as I liked the shape.
