Smaug did you go for the patchwork jacket after all?.. I noticed that the returns went quickly!
Saw a that the blue linen napkins were back in and I ordered a couple.. Not for neckwear though, I have a blue linen East kimono jacket ( 12quid ebay) which I am going to put some Sashiko and Boro patches on ( inspired by Sewing Bee, but I am not a great sewer tbh so its going to be a bit of an improvement project) ..
Anyway I am planning to use the napkins in patches along with some Ikat and Japanese fabric.. It may all end up in the bin, but I am inspired by the idea of ' imperfect ' .. It'll certainly be that 😂

Definitely fab! I have this too; again, I bought it last year but I have only just this month started to use it. I will definitely be taking it on our summer beach holidays.

Oh dear I placed an order for the Slate Linen twill shirt and the Taro shirt. I probably don’t need the slate shirt but was too tempting as I love the brass one!

I’m holding out for a Size M and I only spotted returns in a Small. I’m definitely keeping my eyes peeled and going for it next time. Does anyone else do a mental run through of everything in their wardrobe and how the special, unattainable garment could elevate each item and outfit to the absolutely sublime? Well, that’s how I feel about the patchwork jacket. Perhaps arrogantly, I assumed that because it is actually quite fugly, that Toast would practically be giving it away at the end of your season!

Your project sounds fab, good for you, and if it doesn’t succeed, you will still have some pretty fine table napkins (I have a drawer full, in different colours and they make me very happy. Simple pleasures.)

@Laska2Meryls , you have saved me from trying that striped long shirt with your description of it!

I also did a wardrobe reorganise yesterday @SmaugMum , for me it was putting away things I'm not actually wearing. I used to wear a lot of fitted button down tops and fitted dresses to work and had put them away with the pandemic. Stupidly got them out a few months back but the reality is i choose more comfortable things now.

I returned 2 parcels last week, on Monday got a refund for one of them but I am still waiting for refund for the other, Royal Mail tracking shows both parcel were signed for at the same time. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi @vestedinterests , my initial returns were really quick, but my latest returns were a little slower. I sent two packages at the same time last week. My email from toast notifying me of the return for one was the same day as Royal Mail showed them recieving it (RM tracking showed at 6 am or something and email from Toast was that afternoon), but the bank didn't show the return until several days later, maybe 4 days? The email notification for the other package that I sent at the same time, which RM showed as arriving at the same time as the first, didn't come through until 3 days later, and then it was a coupe of days before my account showed the return.

My account has only just gone back in to the black this week!

yes @vestedinterests I returned 2 parcels the same day. Refunded on 2 separate days. I didn’t bother to check tracking as I imagine they easily get separated in the volume of returns. I’d only start to worry if it stretched out to a week and follow up then. It does take a few days further to reach the account though.

@dudsville I have checked my bank account and the money from the Monday's refund is not there yet, who knows when the 2nd parcel is going to be processed and I am annoyed with myself as I'd had a glass of wine before placing orders and stupidly paid with a debit card rather than using the credit card

@Countmeout I imagine the volume of returns is high during the sale period just found it worrying that 3 days after the first refund there is no sight of the other one when both parcels were posted and receive at their end at the same time

If you're worried that they got lost I wouldn't just yet. Your reciept with RM is tracked and shows the weight.

I’m like a few pp and ramping up my sales purchases as the sale comes to an end.
The gingham / jersey dress arrived - as the reviews say it is v large fitting so it is going back. Am attaching some pics as I know some other posters were interested. It is v lightweight but I quite like it so would have kept if it was a bit neater at the waist.

Well it now says final markdowns so I don’t think we’ll get any lower. I imagine it will end tomorrow/at the weekend/ Monday 12 as there’s a new video next Thursday for the new collection loungewear.

This is annoying, the Slate shirt I ordered it no longer coming and has just been refunded. I wish their website would be quicker to update the stock!

@TheChattyRat That dress looks nice on you, is there not a smaller size or can you not be bothered?

I’m waiting for one more parcel, the red and white PJ bottoms and then I’m done. Not a brilliant sale really, although not really surprised because there wasn’t much I liked at full price!

I think the odd thing has been reduced further. The cotton linen twill shirt is tempting now it's further reduced.

Oh double annoying that I got that shirt in brass on Saturday for £150!

I haven't had much luck in the sales - still wavering about the gansey. The ecru carpenter trousers I am keeping - they're surprisingly nice!

Everything else went back. The stripey tees were a really odd fit and everything else a bit ordinary. If anyone else is finding Toast gowns a bit short nowadays (like me) I bought the loveliest one in the Net a Porter sale the other day - it's proper thick heavy linen, and full length with pockets. It's one size but a very generous one and only fifty something quid
