Has anyone got or seen the Uri Rosa basket bag? I am quite tempted, it looks great for days at the beach in summer, but it is still a lot of money. I wondered if the original price had been inflated somewhat by Toast, but it is that much direct from Uri and on a few other websites too. I am wondering if it is worth the price (sale price or full price)…

AFingerofFudge · 07/07/2022 16:41

And has anyone got the cotton linen knitted top in the "cobble" shade?? It's like I've just "seen" it for the first time (does anyone else do that, scroll past things and not really see them and then suddenly spot them?)
Just wondering what size to order (shhhhh! Have placed 2 orders in the last 24 hours Blush)

ScottishMouse · 07/07/2022 16:46

I do exactly that @AFingerofFudge! I have ordered the montella colour and went for two sizes to be sure, but it probably won’t arrive until Monday, so that’s no use to you.

dudsville · 07/07/2022 16:57

Ha ha, I do that too. I feel like i order in waves, and like someone upthread said, suddenly an item becomes in my mind just that thing that will pull my wardrobe together, the one single item I've been missing!

For me the brick check robe at £50 is tempting, but i know the sleeves will annoy me, and i seem to be OK not placing any orders since the sweater.

But i might just go and look one last time...

Snowyowl78 · 07/07/2022 17:05

@AFingerofFudge @ScottishMouse I tried that and it was quite small, needed the large (size 14)

Saurus72 · 07/07/2022 17:07

I like this dress but £215…!

Laska2Meryls · 07/07/2022 17:11

ScottishMouse I don't have that bag, but I do have the black Cercel bag ( bought in a sale but although it wasn't so cheap as it is now, which is a great price .. ) . I love it and use a lot all year round.. The cream one would be fab for the beach, but the black I think looks more chic.....
I know thats not what you asked !
They are not lined btw, but I haven't found that to be a problem

OP posts:
ScottishMouse · 07/07/2022 17:11

I like that too @Saurus72 And the top in the same fabric.

Stoic123 · 07/07/2022 17:26

@Saurus72 - me too. It's my favourite item in the new collection.

I succumbed to the cotton linen twill shirt and the wellness basket at 'final markdown' prices. Purchase frenzy!

dudsville · 07/07/2022 17:28

So I bought 🙄another tee, the white pepper raglan sleeve one, I'm a medium but they didn't have it in stock, however it's a basic that I would only wear at home or under jumpers so that could just be cosy. We shall see. I also thought I should try the fine crinkle check in slate. I remember someone upthread tried it and thought the sleeves stuck out oddly, so I'm prepared not to like it.

Saurus72 · 07/07/2022 17:37

Ooooh but lookit!

ScottishMouse · 07/07/2022 17:53

Oooh indeed @Saurus72 !!

ScottishMouse · 07/07/2022 17:59

Thankfully I think it would be a bit long and the little v a bit low for me.
It’s been so hot today (we can’t cope with 23 degrees in Scotland!), and I have been browsing cool and airy summer dresses with sleeves. Picked this up at half price, never tried this brand before, so fingers crossed: lfmarkey.com/products/mitch-dress-black

Saurus72 · 07/07/2022 18:00

@Stoic123 I hadn’t seen the top, it’s lovely.

@ScottishMouse So nice to see stuff I actually want to buy!

Saurus72 · 07/07/2022 17:37

Ooooh but lookit!

Ooof that dress is exactly my cup of tea. If everything I’ve ordered that I’m waiting for goes back, then I might order this dress. My only reservation is that the last few things I saw made out of garment dyed linen were rather inferior, with lots of snags and pulled threads, which isn’t promising.

AFingerofFudge · 07/07/2022 18:09

Ooh @Saurus72 that is the first thing from the new collection that I am seriously tempted by!

Saurus72 · 07/07/2022 18:18

I hope we can put this brown season behind us and look to the future 🤞. Tho not good re: garment-dyed things not being brilliant quality @FiddleFigs, will hopefully be able to go to an actual shop in a couple of weeks to see it in the flesh.

Over 300 that is was supposed to be ( although it is over 309!) .. Sigh .

I’ve sent back the jersey check dress. It was SO lightweight, I’m sure even a couple of years back it would have come with a slip. The main issue for me though was that the waist was very low, and I usually have the reverse issue. Wasn’t low enough to be a dropped waist, just low enough to shout ‘hey, look at my lower belly!’ Also sent back the linen wrap pinafore. It was like it had a size 10 top and an 18 bottom. Most peculiar. And finally the gingham Alix which I could barely get on. I rushed to try on my other Alix in the same size but it doesn’t seem as I’ve done any personal expansion!

NoCureForLove · 07/07/2022 20:13

Wah. Why isn't this further reduced- all sizes still available! Wah.
