@ilovecherries , I didn’t clock that it is the same style as the micro gingham dress. I tried that but didn’t like the collar, and I think that may be the thing that is putting me off the blue one too.

I like that jacket too @Laska2Meryls I also like that shade of brown!

My Mum would have called that 'Cowpat brown'😂😂

We must have different cows here @Laska2Meryls the dress is more the colour of their offerings. 🤣
thankfully nothing jumping out at me from the new stuff.
my teardrop pj bottoms are due tomorrow with the probably mistake long sleeved T. Were they too wide @Laska2Meryls

I do like that blouse you’re talking about @ScottishMouse . if it goes down again I’d probably try it. I though it was nice on you the first time you ordered it.

ScottishMouse · 29/06/2022 20:45

Thanks @Countmeout! It was nice, as still is, but I should really remember that if I didn’t love something at full price, I won’t love it at sale price either. I was thinking I would only keep things I love so that I can save some money for new things, but there’s nothing at all that interests me in the new stock.

neveradullmoment99 · 29/06/2022 21:13

I really love the denim tunic in the new stuff. Definitely one for me!😍

neveradullmoment99 · 29/06/2022 21:14

They recommend you go down a size as its generous. Does that mean you go down two sizes?

neveradullmoment99 · 29/06/2022 21:15

Normally order a medium or a 12 these days in Toast. So is it your high street size or a size down from your normal toast size! How confusing Not buying just now though.

Stoic123 · 29/06/2022 21:29

@neveradullmoment99 - the tunic is nice but what on earth is the model doing with those twigs?

AFingerofFudge · 29/06/2022 21:56

Omg I love that denim tunic. Even with the daft styling and the weird angled pockets!

Laska2Meryls · 29/06/2022 23:13

Denim tunic is nice but maybe a bit Seasalt? (Which is also ok and cheaper)....

Thanks @Laska2Meryls you have immediately destroyed my crush on the tunic by mentioning Seasalt Grin

It's not really 'seasalt' because of the wash. I've a seasalt red tunic from years ago ( pure linen) I have to say the quality from seasalt now is not as good. Used to be heavy and beautiful linen. Te material I'd not the same. The denim tunic is still beautiful. I love it but its too wintery to order right now. Seasalt will not put me off!🤣

AmethystMoonShine · 30/06/2022 07:37

All the Seasalt comments are making me laugh Grin It got me thinking that I used to wear quite a bit of Seasalt but seem to have gone off a lot of it in the last few years. Styling never seems quite right, also agree the quality isn’t quite what it was. A shame but I still like their sailor tops.
I got my sale parcels yesterday, I’m keeping the slate Ukiyo PJs, a black raglan LS Tee, the ecru sleeveless dry organic cotton top and probably the brick check nightie.
Non clothing wise I love and am keeping the cord trivet and the indigo sashiko coasters, they are so pretty and backed with ikat fabric.

AFingerofFudge · 30/06/2022 08:05

I think the problem I have with Seasalt, and I would say the same for White Stuff, is that the cut of some of their clothes is just frumpy, not quite long enough sometimes, or just too mumsy or something I can't even put my finger on.
I quite like some of the Seasalt rainwear although I don't own any.

Laska2Meryls · 30/06/2022 08:26

Oops.. Can I still play, please ?
Yes, sorry... the S word was a bit harsh, the quality is nothing like, though I freely admit to owning some of their tees and socks, and have collected several of their handybands and face masks during the last couple of years.. .....

So do we reckon new styles added and further reductions to Toast sale today ?

Snowyowl78 · 30/06/2022 08:35

I got the pink raglan tee yesterday and I think I might keep it, it’s less pale than I feared and I like the sleeve length, looks nice with jeans.

AFingerofFudge · 30/06/2022 08:43

I forgive you @Laska2Meryls Grin

I will be taking sneaky peaks at my phone this afternoon as I am on a late shift, all Toast's sale stuff usually starts late afternoon.

AmethystMoonShine · 30/06/2022 09:09

Yes @AFingerofFudge I agree it's something about the cut that makes me feel frumpy....but I can often never quite work out why?

I've now decided I'm sending the brick check nightie back....it isn't really my style, beautiful quality though which is I think why I wanted to keep it. I have however just found the Field and Fleur (I think that is what it was called) nightie back in stock in the sale, so have order that instead...well it is 15 pounds cheaper......

I have quite a few seasalt things. I just ordered a pair of cropped linen trousers! I'm not a fan of the prints but not everything is bad. Much better quality wise compared to some retailers. Whitestuff used yo be fab. It's poor now but their cardigans are nice. I have a few summer ones. I never right off a retailer. There are sleays a few hidden gems.

Stoic123 · 30/06/2022 10:18

Seasalt quality has dropped and I agree with the 'can look frumpy' sentiment.

I do recommend the Idless bag - currently £25 (£29.95 for granite) in the sale. Nothing fancy but - colours go with my Toast stuff, quality is good and it's a nice size for a day out. Note- handle goes over shoulder easily so detachable strap is a bit superfluous.

Countmeout · 30/06/2022 10:30

I can’t. Get on with Seasalt either. I sometimes think a pattern looks nice but then in real life it disappoints and the fit never seems right for me either.

My parcel seems to be running behind. I don’t know why they say it’s going to be delivered on x date and then it’s the day after.

dudsville · 30/06/2022 11:11

The woodbine shirt dress arrived today. I didn't even try it on. The fabric is thick, like a demin, and certainly not for me what I would be looking for in a summer dress. If one wanted to look chic whilst doing some manual labour in fall/spring then perhaps it would be suitable! I think i was the only one here fool enough to try it?

I love a Sealsalt dress! The prints can def be frumpy, but I think of them as retro, I stick with cotton fit and flare shirt dresses as they fit me really well and are light weight but lined and perfect for summer. I was turned on to them after a very cool colleague wore one to work, and they do good pockets. I bought a rain coat from them, they have such a lot of good reviews, but to me it feels like wearing plastic. It keeps the rain at bay, but I only wear it for dog walking in reasonably heavy rain.

As usual I can't find the denim tunic we're all talking about, is that what it's called?

dudsville · 30/06/2022 11:28

Does anyone have or has anyone seen irl the "indigo denim wide leg trousers"? I'm curious to try them, but I fear the denim is their usual super think stuff, is it?
