Don’t be so thick, Adrian

Couldn’t care less about the male model. A model dressed in small children’s attire? Creepy and unnecessary.

HailAdrian · 13/05/2022 09:58

Honestly, 'anyfucker' only on mumsnet do people think that 'thick' is a cutting insult.

ReadyToMoveIt · 13/05/2022 09:58

I don’t think it was meant as an insult, just an observation.

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 13/05/2022 09:59

Nope...still love snags and not creeped out at all

Yawn.

It's a pair of tights. Again, get a grip.

Clymene · 13/05/2022 10:00

I think you've just implied that all transwomen all want to dress as little girls @HailAdrian

I'm sure that's not true.

I stopped buying their stuff when they started selling children's patterns for adults. It's creepy and weird - whatever the sex of the wearer.

I bought a pair of their much celebrated chub shorts but sent them back as I don't want my nethers encased in nylon. Yuck.

They could be a trans cat for all I care but why so they need to look like an over grown sexual toddler?

That's an adult dressed as a toddler, who may or may not be trans.

Squealier · 13/05/2022 10:01

Erm @HailAdrian it's not the male model it's the infantilisation / cosplay as child that's offensive. I'd feel the same if it was a woman model 'playing' with unicorn soft toys.

If you think it's about trans that really says more about you.

ValerieDoonican · 13/05/2022 10:02

It is not transphobic to be revolted by a celebration of a toddler themed paraphilia is it? Surely?

FiveNineFive · 13/05/2022 10:02

I have never seen a toddler dressed like that.

This.

HailAdrian · 13/05/2022 10:04

Not everybody lives in generic Boden shite. Just because it's not your thing, doesn't mean it shouldn't be sold. I'm sure the company will be gutted that you're boycotting though.

lassof · 13/05/2022 10:05

Yuck.

Adults dressed as very young girls.

Nice marketing. Bleurgh. Pedos, buy your stuff from us, we love you. What are they thinking?

Useranon1 · 13/05/2022 10:05

@HailAdrian what does this have to do with trans people? Who says the model is trans?!

ReadyToMoveIt · 13/05/2022 10:05

Oh I’m not boycotting, I’ve never bought from there anyway as i have no issue with cheap supermarket tights. Never bought from Boden either.
Just saying the advert is fucking creepy.

I agree.

Except no one is objecting to the use of a male model.

HailAdrian · 13/05/2022 10:07

Blimey, don't ever visit dollskill.com, you'd not cope!

FourTeaFallOut · 13/05/2022 10:08

Boycotting fucking tights because they use a male model though?

A male model? Where? Surely a non-transphobic person would only see the inner feminine light shine out through the creepy ass clothing, chucky make-up and nursery room back drop ?

Transphobic for being troubled seeing adult men dressed as little girls?

MadameCholetsDirtySecret · 13/05/2022 10:08

I’m glad I’ve never bought them.

Afterfire · 13/05/2022 10:08

A lot of people enjoy collecting toys, dressing up in cos play type clothes etc. It doesn’t make them paedophiles.
