Seen a lot of ladies with Disney backpacks

Casheeeew · 15/03/2022 19:54

The bag isn't to look cute and submissive to men!. I don't eat petit filous because I want men to treat me like a little girl and look after me, I eat them because they're amazing. People deprive themselves of many things because they're "far too grown up for that ".

MurmuratingStarling · 15/03/2022 19:59

You're never too old for ANYTHING. I have a Unicorn quilt cover and pillow case on my bed, (that was in the '3-10 y.o. GIRL' section in the catalogue!)

Why should KIDS get all the cool stuff? I am thinking of getting a quilt cover and pillow case with planets and rockets on it next - from the 3-10 y.o. BOYS section Grin (Like the ones in pics 2 and 3!)

As has been said, life's too short to give a shit what other people think!!!

I’m 40 and I have two Disney loungefly bags. Both are little mermaid 🧜‍♀️. My pink one is a shoulder bag with a dinglehopper (fork) as the handle and another is a little mermaid backpack. My daughter is 18 and has a Harry Potter and an Atlantis loungefly, she also has a Powerline purse (from the goofy movie.
Go get yourself one but remember they are expensive around £70-£120 per bag

Figmentofimagination · 15/03/2022 20:05

@linsey2581 - ooo, I love the goofy movie! (goes to look at goofy movie loungefly 👀)

MargeSimpson79 · 15/03/2022 20:08

I 100% knew this would be loungefly as soon as I saw the title! I am the grand old age of 42 and I own 8 I think. Including a fluffy Santa Mickey, a couple of all over sequinned ones with ears and a Harry Potter one. I use them all the time! I love them. I have them for me because I love Disney and they make me happy. I am not in the slightest bothered if people wish to make judgements about me based on my bags! I think they’re awesome.

Probably but a lot of adults have children's accessories. Get it if you like it.

AngelinaFibres · 15/03/2022 20:10

My husband is 60 this year. He loves Lego. So do his much older brothers. I had no idea what these backpacks were so I googled them Love the Sherwood one. If you want one have it.
There is a hospice nurse who makes tik tok videos. She is American. She had a patient who had led a very nice life but she had been obsessed with being slim. She avoided meet ups with friends that involved cake because she had to be slim, had to go to the gym. The nurse asked her what she would do if she could have her life again. Eat the cake, she said. Just eat the damn cake. If you love it, it brings you joy when you see it, and it puts a spring in your step when you go out then buy it.My SIL allows herself no joy. Joy is a sign of weakness. Everything must be non iron, drip dry, no style. She is a total fun sponge. She would judge your bag as a childish frippery. . ....whilst secretly wishing she had one.

@ladygindiva

I have a skip hop children's owl rucksack. I liked the colours. Do it.
My son has the owl lunch box and as soon as it's "too babyish" for him, it will be mine 😍

@LuckySantangelo35

I find adults who love Disney weird to be honest. Adult Disney enthusiasts…what is the appeal? Can you tell me?
Fun, and escapism, and a bit of magic! One of the best weekends of my adult life was the Disneyland Paris race weekend a few years ago. I went on my own, ran 3 races over 3 days and spent 2 days in the parks.

I'd not long got divorced and had been very low and it was exactly the tonic I needed. I'm not a 'super fan' by any means but I've never been unhappy at Disneyland.

1forAll74 · 15/03/2022 20:13

Anything goes.. I have got a shopping bad with Lady and the Tramp dogs on it, I have had it about 45 years, I am 79.

MsSquiz · 15/03/2022 20:14

I love the Disney Loungefly backpacks and I've decided to save buying one until we go on a Disney trip.
My usual handbag is a Mulberry Iris hobo or a Gucci disco, but I am a firm believer in life is way too short to not buy a bag you love because someone might judge you...

Carpedimum · 15/03/2022 20:17

Go for it @Spooked102 don’t let age cramp your style & besides, 30 is very young to me! Just be you!

ofwarren · 15/03/2022 20:20

I seriously love all the comments on here! I adore people who wear what they love and dgaf what others think.
I can't justify the cost of lounge fly but I do have a disneystore princess backpack.

If you need the approval of a bunch of strangers maybe you aren't confident enough to pull off wacky stuff

annlee3817 · 15/03/2022 20:46

I'm 40 and have stolen my Dd's Smiggle backpack for work, I love it :)

Lawyermama1987 · 15/03/2022 20:46

I have several loungefly things. They’re lovely and good quality too! I’m in my mid thirties and absolutely endorse wearing or accessorising with anything you want!

ImInStealthMode · 15/03/2022 21:00

Spent a happy half hour browsing Truffle Shuffle and identified my favourites. Just have to drop some casual hints to DP now Wink

I carried a Mothercare see-through Mr Jelly backpack for the best part of three years at university. If he hadn't ripped Sad I'd still be using him now. You do you, don't let yourself be put down Smile

Mummadeze · 15/03/2022 21:38

Absolutely not too old. I am 48 and have a Mickey hoodie and a Donald hoodie that I use to play tennis. I also wear Disney pyjamas and Care Bear socks in bed. I love kiddie things for adults. Makes me feel happy.

BiscuitLover3678 · 15/03/2022 21:49

Picture please

TheChosenTwo · 15/03/2022 21:51

Ha! I was asked today if I was too old to be carrying my rucksack - it’s a yellow kanken one, I have nabbed it from dd1 (to be fair she has now kindly donated it to me as she tired of it a couple of years ago Grin ), plain, no snazzy prints, no glitter, no cartoon characters… and yet someone judged me as too old to wear it Grin
Wear what the fuck you want!

Sunsetmom · 15/03/2022 22:04

Do what makes you happy! Who cares what others think! U do you!!
