Love that this thread keeps on going .... and keeps on giving Grin I love it.

ToastCosILoveIt · 07/03/2022 20:49

We are on to page 2 of this thread already - good to see we are keeping to our high standards of prolific posting!

@ScottishMouse, thanks for the update on the trousers: I can see myself trying them on when I visit next time.

The shorts come just above the knee on me but that is when the waist is just above my belly button. I need to play around with them a bit in terms of where they sit on the waist/hips and what I wear on top. I can only really do this at home and i thought I better purchase them as they are sold out online. I expect I will wear them with light shirts/blouses or a loose teeshirt - very much casual wear.

Re the collar linen tee, i will wear it bittoned to the top with the collar down. It is a simple and yet cool looking teeshirt. It will look great with the wider toast jeans/rrousers because it is quite a neat fit but somehow flattering.

ScottishMouse · 07/03/2022 20:57

Thanks @ToastCosILoveIt, I think I might pop that collared tee into a basket next time I am ordering something. Looks like it could be useful most of the year.

AmethystMoonShine · 07/03/2022 21:15

Thanks for the new thread @Laska2Meryls

Loving all the chat about new items but nothing has really grabbed me yet. Hoping the May drop will be more my thing.

neveradullmoment99 · 07/03/2022 23:45

Thanks for the new thread 😀😀

Countmeout · 08/03/2022 13:53

I may have misrepresented the length of the Annie’s on my height @TheChattyRat. I also have them in the cream ( bought in John Lewis sale last year) and have brought them out today although spring seems to have vanished.
This is the length of the cream ones .

Countmeout · 08/03/2022 13:54

Sorry here hopefully

TheChattyRat · 08/03/2022 13:57

Ah cool thanks, I like that length - they look good in cream too.

Laska2Meryls · 08/03/2022 15:20

I like this new dress that is in the catalogue

That is lovely @Laska2Meryls but, again, very wintery or autumnal in colour.

Countmeout · 08/03/2022 17:27

It looks lovely but very dark colours @Laska2Meryls.
I see the patchwork skirt has appeared but not in stock yet.

This looks interesting too

I haven’t got a catalogue yet 😕 .

Laska2Meryls · 08/03/2022 18:08

www.toa.st/products/fracap-ola-sandals-black
These also, which I love.. ( but I have just bought some similar enough to be acceptable for me for half the price from Hush )

NoCureForLove · 08/03/2022 18:09

How are you finding these not yet in stock things? Are they just in the dress section along with everything else? Or the New In? Or...? Ta in advance.

Laska2Meryls · 08/03/2022 18:19

The two I found were in the magazine , which came in the post today, Countmeout

Love that dress @Laska2Meryls I could wear those colours! No catalogue here yet.

Countmeout · 08/03/2022 18:24

If you put in ‘dress’ or ‘skirt’ etc they seem to come up @NoCureForLove

NoCureForLove · 08/03/2022 18:29

Thanks! This is v nice...

AmethystMoonShine · 08/03/2022 20:17

I quite like that dress @NoCureForLove…. But not at that price sadly Sad

ToastCosILoveIt · 08/03/2022 21:14

That patchwork dress is lovely. @NoCureForLove...pricey though. I think it is the same cut as this one but with the pattern it will be more forgiving. www.toa.st/collections/womens-dresses/products/cotton-linen-shirt-dress-dark-woodbine

Love those sandals too @Laska2Meryls

mizu · 08/03/2022 21:20

I love the colours in this picture, gorgeous dress but not quite sure of the collar.

I do wear Birkenstocks and socks at times but not sure I could do it with a summery dress.

Toasties - Springing on ...
ToastCosILoveIt · 08/03/2022 22:43

I tried this dress on yesterday @mizu. The cut and the colour didn't suite me and the arm holes were huge. It could look good on the right person though. I love the sandals and socks but it isn't something I am sure I could pull off.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 09/03/2022 11:23

What did you decide about your Space Check shorts @ScottishMouse ? Mine arrived today but they are so full of sewing flaws that I’m not even sure if I can bring myself to try them on. They appear to have loose ends woven in across the front of the fabric, double stitching that doesn’t line up along the hem and several loose threads on the right side, as well as the same slub flaws that I think @Laska2Meryls found on the trousers. No wonder they were a return Hmm .

Countmeout · 09/03/2022 11:28

The Alix are online for anyone interested.
I’ve ordered 2 sizes and will report back.

ScottishMouse · 09/03/2022 11:43

I am still mulling @Theteapotsbrokenspout. I haven’t noticed any flaws, but am going to have a closer inspection of them based on what you’ve said.
My issue is I don’t love the length of them on me. I would need to take them up, and I’m not sure I can do it neatly enough given that the hems will be obvious.
I also don’t think I would wear them too much apart from on holidays somewhere warm (which I have no plans for at the moment, but who knows…). I have been keeping an eye out for some shorts for a couple of years now to have for holidays, but I’m not sure I can justify the cost given that they may not get too much wear.
Really not sure, because I know if I return them and later book a holiday, I may regret not having kept them.
If yours had no flaws, would you keep them? What do you think of them on?

ScottishMouse · 09/03/2022 11:44

Gosh, sorry, that was a ridiculously long answer!
