Went in today and saw all the new active stuff stuff - lots of stuff copied from sweaty Betty and seems good quality .

Also some nice sweatshirts very clearly hush copy great quality feel.

Just purchased my second short quilted light puffa jacket which always is complimented .

Also love the wide leg joggers ( posted about these before)

Overall impressed and bought a fair bit !

Anyone else had much success??

They are great. I have two pairs and they also keep well wash after wash.
For the price, I’d have no hesitation tbh

TravellingFrom · 19/02/2022 10:34

Sorry that was to @userxx

Juno22 · 19/02/2022 10:34

Starsandsugarlumps those trousers are really nice. I have a similar pair from Baukjen but they were a lot more expensive! Shall have a look at these next time I'm in the shop.

50NewYork · 19/02/2022 10:37

I agree. I usually buy my stuff online from Marks but I went to Manchester shopping the other day and it was the only shop I could find anything nice in. Was a pleasure to browse, loads of space and after I tried stuff on I zapped the barcodes and ordered for delivery to my house.

Cocolapew · 19/02/2022 10:37

Do the wide leg jersey trousers have pockets?

StarsAndSugarlumps · 19/02/2022 10:39

@Juno22 they had loads in store last time I was in.

The only problem is the recurring M&S sizing discrepancies. The navy and black that I got are different lengths even though the exact same size/length on the label, so do try them on.

No no pockets
RampantIvy · 19/02/2022 10:42

I have some Jersey wide leg joggers that are about 5 years old. They don't look like casual joggers, and teamed with the right top and footwear are smart enough to go out in. I wore nine to the work Christmas do.

ChipsAreLife · 19/02/2022 10:44

I love M&S stuff! I've got some lovely bits over the past year as we have a great one that I use to kill an hour whilst kids are in a club. I do agree sizing is hit or miss sometimes though

I was wondering about the wide leg trousers and will give them a go thanks!

The good move stuff is excellent. And I got DH some lovely stuff for Christmas which he loves. He also loves their polo shirts, shorts and trousers for golf. I also got my 1 year old loads in the January sale for next to nothing. Was very happy.

Lol to the accusations of it being an ad. Are you not allowed to say anything positive about brands anymore?!

Sadie687 · 19/02/2022 10:45

I’ve feel they’ve stepped up their game and have been impressed what what I’ve seen this winter. I really liked their zip up hoodies and cardigans and have bought some stuff for my mum too which she found really cosy!

It feels fresher than before and prices don’t seem too bad. I haven’t bought any of their activewear but it looks appealing.

Any one bought their jeans recently? They had a good range of styles and colours when I went in their recently.

JanisMoplin · 19/02/2022 10:46
I just bought these yesterday in khaki! Will update. I have always really liked M and S for basics and jeans. May not be trendy but they fit my oddly shaped body and they have a lot of cotton. I always have to size down though.
sunshineforest · 19/02/2022 10:49

Please tell me more about M&S jeans. Want something vaguely barrel legged - has anyone found anything nice without dodgy shading on the thighs?

Cocolapew · 19/02/2022 10:50

Thanks TravellingFrom.

Juno22 · 19/02/2022 10:52

Thank you @StarsAndSugarlumps. I agree about the sizing!

I have the Sienna and Lily but in slim leg. V happy with them- they have the right amount of stretch. I am sure they have barrel legged too.

This is not an ad :)

userxx · 19/02/2022 10:56

@JanisMoplin What length did you get ? Reading the reviews they come up quite long.

Leftbutcameback · 19/02/2022 10:59

@stevalnamechanger - do you know which sweatshirt it was? Been looking for a good one for ages!

ballerinaqueen · 19/02/2022 11:00

Are the leggings in the good move range completely opaque? I've been trying to find a decent pair for age but find my underwear shows through a lot of other brands Blush

Leftbutcameback · 19/02/2022 11:00

I recently bought the wide legged jersey pull on trousers and the material is lovely. The only issue is the length. As others have said on reviews the short length isn't short anymore. Very frustrating as they are one of the only places with loads of short options

I am 5"7 and got regular.

I will say that their knickers have got worse and the gussets narrower. I no longer buy mine there.

Floisme · 19/02/2022 11:02

sunshineforest I bought some of their barrel legs - I think they were called 'balloon leg' - in pale grey last summer and I was really pleased with them. My only reservations are that the denim isn't that substantial so they're more spring/summer wear, and secondly that the sizing was all over the place which made me reluctant to order any more online. But pretty good value.

MintyGreenDream · 19/02/2022 11:09

Not supposed to be buying this month but I need those white animal print gym leggings 😩

sunshineforest · 19/02/2022 11:10

Thanks @JanisMoplin and @Floisme I'll have a look

50NewYork · 19/02/2022 11:12

These sweatshirts are fantastic value - lots of different colours

I've really liked shopping at M&S for a few years now even when everyone else has been laughing about them... I think the issue is just that they stock so much stuff it's sometimes hard to find the gems among everything else.

I really like their smart jogger type trousers, tencel shirts, jeans, ponte/jersey skirts, smart casual type open jackets, funnel neck jersey tops etc.
