Sweet Jesus, the feather dress posted by @Pangolin44 is AMAZING!!

I WANT IT WITH ALL MY HEART!

YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 12/02/2022 20:17

(The grey dress posted by @pinksyco is not amazing. At all).

Lovinglife50 · 12/02/2022 20:17

Love this, looks fabulous you should definitely get some kinda head piece maybe A little feather? I have all sorts of hair ideas going through my head Right now Grin

Squarepegs01 · 12/02/2022 20:17

I'd wear this and employ my cigarette holder and a massive up-do for the extra.

Now that's a good one.

You're taking the piss. That would look like Bet Lynch going to a 70s fancy dress fondue party.

NalPolishRemover · 12/02/2022 20:18

Agreed @YellowAndGreenToBeSeen Shock

LovedayCL · 12/02/2022 20:18

@Pangolin44

FWIW, if I was going to be the MoG at a gay wedding I'd wear this and employ my cigarette holder and a massive up-do for the extra.
Love this, it’s quite JLo circa the original Bennifer era. In a good way.
KimchiWithMe · 12/02/2022 20:19

No, not really, definitely not the first one anyway.

If you want to be polite you'll also ask what the mother of the bride is wearing first, too.

NalPolishRemover · 12/02/2022 20:20

No way @Squarepega101!! It's a FABULOUS dress

YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 12/02/2022 20:21

And this is wrong because?

@Squarepegs01I assure you I would not look like Bet Lynch. I would look like Juilliane Moore in Tom Ford's A Single Man. Or my version thereof.
Pangolin44 · 12/02/2022 20:38

Not that there's anything wrong with Bet Lynch. She was an icon of women dressing entirely as they please.

BearOfEasttown · 12/02/2022 20:39

@Pangolin44

@BearOfEasttown I assume that you are joking by saying I'm joking?*

That dress is amazing. I would wear the fuck out of that dress.

I'd be interested to see your suggestions?

Why would I do that? You will just berate them for the hell of it. And judging by the ghastly monstrosity you suggested the mother of the groom wears, we clearly have VERY different tastes.

BearOfEasttown · 12/02/2022 20:44

@Pangolin44

That dress you suggested was so hideous, you may as well put her in THIS

@Pangolin44

Also. NEAT LINKS please! BearOfEastown

And who the F died and made YOU head moderator? Confused Until someone from MN messages me, or tells me on here to put 'neat links' I will post them however I see fit.

THAT link ^ was especially for you @Pangolin44

And I shall make sure to post links however the hell I want, until told otherwise, by someone from mumsnet. Not some random nobody who has no authority.

As you were.

Pangolin44 · 12/02/2022 20:50

We obviously do @BearOfEasttown. I wouldn't berate them 'just for the hell of it though'. I don't do that. Clothes are very personal, I like to use them as costume in some way, I like to think, 'Who do I want to be today?' and dress accordingly. I approach clothes and fashion from a very 'looks based' viewpoint.

I appreciate that not everyone else does that though and would never be disparaging to someone that didn't approach dressing from that angle.

It brings me and obviously @Kenworthington and other posters joy to do that though.

So why be so vocally dismissive about it?

BearOfEasttown · 12/02/2022 21:01

@Pangolin44

So why be so vocally dismissive about it?

Why not? Confused

It's called an opinion. The OP asked peoples opinions in her OP.

Why are you so bothered that someone has a negative opinion to the OP's choice of dress? And why are you so bothered that someone has a different opinion to you?

Are you one of those irksome individuals who cannot bear it when people disagree with you, and insist only your opinion is the correct one?

Coz it sure sounds that way!

RumpoleoftheBaileys · 12/02/2022 21:02

ALSO

OP - did you post earlier that you thought you were fat?

You aren't.

Far, far from it.

BearOfEasttown · 12/02/2022 21:03

@Pangolin44 don't forget to chastise the above poster (nanbread) for her very messy links! Wink You absolutely MUST do so, otherwise, it will look like you are just targeting certain posters whose opinions you dislike!

Puffalicious · 12/02/2022 21:09

Amazing dresses on this website "SHOP — SIKA ONLINE" www.sikadesigns.co.uk/shop

Squarepegs01 · 12/02/2022 21:14

😂 at the first link blue one at Asos. What the f.

Rainbowshit · 12/02/2022 21:22

Oh it's glorious. The red would be best though. Not the champagne.

Theblacksheepandme · 12/02/2022 21:23

I'm in stitches here Pangolin44. I think BearOfEasttown is stomping her feet right now.

Pangolin44 · 12/02/2022 21:26

@BearOfEasttown, I'm quite happy for someone to disagree with me. Overjoyed usually because I like a bit of cut and thrust.

But that's with me, not with the idea of a certain type of woman. I don't like dismissive ideas. And I certainly didn't attack anyone just because they didn't agree with OP.

I didn't attack you, or your ideas. I might have disagreed with you on a personal level, I'm more than happy to have a discussion.

I'm not a fan of sweeping statements or hyperbole though.

BearOfEasttown · 12/02/2022 21:27

@Theblacksheepandme

I'm in stitches here Pangolin44. I think BearOfEasttown is stomping her feet right now.
I am. Stomping my feet fervently, trying to stop myself pissing myself laughing at how pangolin44 thinks she is head mod telling me to post 'NEAT LINKS' but isn't scolding anyone else. Obviously only picks on people who say things she doesn't like. Grin
