Also, I am baffled as to why you posted this thread. You asked people for their opinions, they gave them (some very raucous and negative and not what you wanted to hear,) but they are genuine opinions. Yet you seem really angry and miffed that everyone isn't coo-ing over you and agreeing the dress is fab!

I've not read the full thread (though I DO know there is no bride!) and I'm sorry you've had a rough time on here. BUT I'm sorry, the floral dress is awful IMO. I love it in the bright colours and I'm not a fan of pastels myself anyway. But why are you wearing a top underneath it? Or am I seeing things that are t there? That can make a huge difference in how things fit.

Anyway, if you love it I hope the next size fits and you and your family all have a blast at the wedding.

@BearOfEasttown I don’t mind if people don’t like it. I don’t expect people to ‘coo’ that’s a weird turn of phrase. If yo I don’t like it or someone else doesn’t like it that’s ok. It’s the TONE of some of the comments you know. Just unnecessary. I don’t think I’m being particularly over sensitive. Anyways it doesn’t fit anyway and I don’t expect the next one will either so back to the drawing board. I’m not in a desperate rush to find anything, just saw this and loved it. That’s all.

I agree the red might look nice but I feel that’s REALLY out there. I thought the floral one was subtle. I’m not that keen on bright colors or loads of pattern if I’m honest. I prefer muted colours. I’d wear black if I thought that would be better but I suspect that’s even MORE frowned upon than cream

I’m running out of space on the thread but maybe someone might see something one day and think ken would like that for her wedding to her son. Ideally I would like some kind of shoulder embellishments (I think this is what I like best about this frock), a deep v neck and midaxi length. Need to cover shoulders. Thanks 😊

I think you’d look amazing in the red one, it’s a beautiful dress and the style looks lovely on you. Some nice patent black DMs with red velvet laces would go nicely.

I don't think the floral one looks bridal at all, I've no idea why anyone is suggesting that or it looks like she wants to marry her son - totally ridiculous. It's a lovely dress, but I don't think it goes with the tattoos. Between the pattern, material and tattoos, it's just all a bit busy. I actually think the red would look loads better. It's a block colour as opposed to a pattern, and will balance out with your tattoos better.

Please do post about the next one you find. I'm really over invested in seeing how amazing you're going to look on the day

Kenworthington, don't be down at heart. That is a very difficult dress to pull off. You'll find something better that'll be just right.

Which size do you think you would need for the Vivienne Westwood Cartie Boucher? Because yesterday all sizes were out of stock but now small is back in. So people are out there buying them and returning. I would watch it like a hawk and keep refreshing the page.

The viv one I have requested the biggest they have. I asked for an email to be sent. May have another look at that website actually.

I do like some stuff in all saints that’s kind of look but don’t want to end up in the same as one of the other guests. I am happy to chuck some money at it. It’s just got to be right (and , crucially, do up!)

The All Saints silk-mix maxi/midi dresses are gorgeous. And you could wear it again.

I think YOU look stunning. Definitely nothing like your age. I also love the dress.
The tats do look like a top underneath though. I think the two looks are very jarring.
