For what it's worth the dress is fabulous. And anyway, even if I hated it, which I don't - life's too short. Wear what the hell you want! Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. Go for it and enjoy!

It’s gorgeous! I’d say go for it… the pale blue is lovely too if you want to avoid being too ‘bridey’, but as you say it’s a gay wedding so who cares? Are they a flamboyant couple that would appreciate the dress too?

The floral one definitely, you are going to a wedding , everyone will be wearing lush dresses! Dress up and have a blast at this once in a lifetime event. The wedding party will feel great that you took the time to look fabulous but definitely the floral one enjoy!

I started reading this thread thinking 'Good God no!' but now I love it, I love you, I love your son and I kind of want the dress in the red myself (even though I haven't worn a dress in about 20 years and I never go anywhere except to walk the dog and to the allotment). I hope you love it when it comes and that the wedding is fabulous!

I liked the 3rd dress a bit more( probably because it wasn't as long) but there was another one on that page that had floral bodice and pleated skirt from under the bust that was much nicer and would probably suit your shape more. It was called "Iris sequin bodice" same dress materiel just a slightly different style. I know you say you are fat but actually size 16 for 5' 8" isn't by a long way. The first two dresses suit tall willowy type figures . Enjoy the day and all the best to the happy couple.💗
