Before you all say don’t be ridiculous, you’ll look like the bride- there is no bride- it’s a gay wedding. I love this. lOVE it. Could get the floral one but of COURSE I want the cream one. Can I???????

Bloody love the black one.

Cotswoldmama · 11/02/2022 18:38

Wow I love it but definitely not cream, or any of the pale ones. The red or the bright pink look the best

JuergenSchwarzwald · 11/02/2022 18:39

It wouldn't be my style OP but it is clearly yours so I hope you feel and look amazing on the day and enjoy seeing your ds married.

Mac99 · 11/02/2022 18:39

100% yes! It’s fabulous and if you love it wear it. I would ask first if they mind you wearing it in your chosen colour. If yes, get another colour, but definitely buy it it’s beautiful and I’m jealous 💖

NoneOfYour32Potatoes · 11/02/2022 18:39

It’s gettin’ hot in here. 🔥

Purplecatshopaholic · 11/02/2022 18:39

Beautiful dress, love it. You will rock it - with your awesome attitude you probably rock most things actually. Pleeeeease post pics of you in it when it comes (and preferably pics of the wedding when it happens too). I hope you all have a Fabulous Time at the wedding.

LookItsMeAgain · 11/02/2022 18:39

@Pleezgivemestrength

It's a beautiful dress. Love the floral one. I think you should be ok, as assuming the relevant couple, wont be a dress involved . Speak to your son, and ask what he thinks
Would you for the love of god and the little wee donkey PLEASE read the thread or at the very very least, the OP's posts!
Annie202 · 11/02/2022 18:40

Oh hell no!

VerbenaGirl · 11/02/2022 18:40

I think it’s perfect! Go for it.

YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 11/02/2022 18:41

Ignore the haters OP, it’s fabulous and I can really picture the wedding - it’s going to be and look amazing!

Can’t quite believe someone suggested Hobbs for you!

I LOVE the red one. Not bridal in the slightest, flamboyant as f*ck, and it sounds like your son will love it too. Go for it!!

Alcemeg · 11/02/2022 18:42

Love your style OP, and not just in terms of dress sense!!! 😍

As Dolly Parton said, "Find out who you are, and do it on purpose."

So pleased the moderate tastes of MN did not dilute your natural splendour.

Have a wonderful wedding and best wishes to the bride and bride, or groom and groom, or whatever you want to call it. Flowers

Casheeeew · 11/02/2022 18:42

@FeckTheMagicDragon

No. You will look like you are competing with the bride. Really bad form.
Lol.

OP if the groom's are comfortable with you wearing something so flashy than definitely go for it. If that's what you're normally like it might be what they love you for and expect you to dress to impress :)

MuchTooTired · 11/02/2022 18:43

When I read your OP and clicked on the dress I thought to myself, fuck no, that’s too much of a bridal dress even if there’s no bride! But… after reading your updates where you mentioned your style, I thought to myself you sound awesome and so much fun - the way you write just makes me think this dress is perfect for the wedding. I’m glad you bought the dress and don’t tell my dh I said this I was wrong in my thinking.

Dagnabit · 11/02/2022 18:43

Ooh no, OP, you’ll upstage bride!

I’m kidding; enjoy the wedding, I have a feeling that you’ll pull off the look superbly!

SuperSocks · 11/02/2022 18:46

If there was going to be a bride I'd say absolutely no way. In this case ask the guys in question! Their opinions are the ones that matter! As long as they don't feel you're trying to steal the limelight then go for it!

Kenworthington · 11/02/2022 18:46

Frock lovers- unite with me/ we can form our own band of badass frilly frock wearing bitches.

Perpop · 11/02/2022 18:47

This sounds like the kinda wedding I’d like. Can I sit at your table?

Kenworthington · 11/02/2022 18:48

Wtf not @perpop the more the merrier

Lifethroughlenses · 11/02/2022 18:49

No no no. You will come across as the Mum who can’t let her son go and has subconsciously or otherwise dressed as the bride! Freudian.

DirtyDancing · 11/02/2022 18:50

Oh I love it! I don't think it would have outshined me on my wedding day, the more fabulous everyone looks and feels the better! I had guests in all kind of different outfits and close family and friends changed into evening dress for dinner.

Chloemol · 11/02/2022 18:50

No

Pinkfluff76 · 11/02/2022 18:50

Holy fuck that’s magnificent! I don’t have an answer, good luck OP

harriethoyle · 11/02/2022 18:50
