Before you all say don’t be ridiculous, you’ll look like the bride- there is no bride- it’s a gay wedding. I love this. lOVE it. Could get the floral one but of COURSE I want the cream one. Can I???????

@Tomitma111

All I can say is WHY do you need to go so over the top?
She wants to look amazing? Shock
Wiscowoman87 · 11/02/2022 17:54

Ask your son what he thinks. It's absolutely gorgeous! But cream does seem a bit too bride-like. (I always go for blue, but that’s me.) Is the wedding quite formal to begin with? Will you fit with the theme if you wear it? Go for it, if so.

NoneOfYour32Potatoes · 11/02/2022 17:54

😂

One of them threads that just keeps on giving.

Montgomers · 11/02/2022 17:54

I love the dress, I love your son's attitude. Have a wonderful day!

Kenworthington · 11/02/2022 17:55

When I read a really long thread- I highlight al the ops posts and read just them. Does NOOnE else do this?!

Fml

Anyway I am KNOWN for mad dress sense. It will NOT be a surprise.. it would be WEIRD if I wore a traditional mother of the groom outfit. I am even considering what boots I can get away with it.
Anyway that’s it.

I HAVE BOUGHT THE FUCKING DRESS

I'm in the love it camp.

And I think you're very funny. And you and your son sound like you have a fab relationship. Kudos all round.

LordoftheDanceSaidHe · 11/02/2022 17:59

No no no

Kenworthington · 11/02/2022 17:59

I personally think it’s way over the top for mother of the bride. Plus I think you have to be a certain age and shape to wear this. Sorry but you asked !! 😏

Kite22 · 11/02/2022 18:00

Excellent summary at 17:48:44 OP Grin

Yes, I always have the OP's posts highlighted. It's great for threads that are pages and pages long.

Thehop · 11/02/2022 18:00

I bloody LOVE it 😍

Cariadm · 11/02/2022 18:00

NO!!! Absolutely NOT!!! In my opinion it would be very bad taste unless of course you want to draw attention to the fact that there is no actual 'bride' as a sort of satirical 'joke' but I can't see that going down too well in all honesty can you?! I think you know the answer to the question yourself but you're hoping that enough of us will say 'go for it' but......?!

Kenworthington · 11/02/2022 18:02
@Kenworthington I know. You’ll just look like you want to be one. And the centre of attention. Still bad form.
This

Mumontour85 · 11/02/2022 18:05

No. Get it in a different colour.

Mybumlooksbig · 11/02/2022 18:05

Wear it and wear it with pride. love it xx

SmoggieC · 11/02/2022 18:05

Delete thread if you're upset at replies still happening Hmm

Helloevans3 · 11/02/2022 18:06

Err No. what about your sons partners mother. What is she wearing. It look very over the top. Maybe change into that one at night? But not for the main photos. It will def confuse people. It might not be received kindly.

Debbacat6 · 11/02/2022 18:07

Unless you're under 25 ..No
And for a wedding...def. No. Its obvious you want to steal the attention.
Don't. And tbh...the dress looks a bit Colleen Rooney

Kenworthington · 11/02/2022 18:07

I am the mother of the groom. I know almost everyone who will be at the wedding. No one will think anything weird about it. They may think it’s hideous but no one will think it’s weird in the way anyone is thinking here. I am PAYING for the wedding. I have ordered it. I am WEARING it.
Seriously. How the hell can I get this deleted. It’s driving me BATSHIT
