Before you all say don’t be ridiculous, you’ll look like the bride- there is no bride- it’s a gay wedding. I love this. lOVE it. Could get the floral one but of COURSE I want the cream one. Can I???????

You’re all TOO LATE to the (wedding) party/ it’s on order

I love them all, especially the Iris bloom gown. I wouldn't be daring enough to wear the first two but if you are I say go for it. Absolutely beautiful dresses. I hope you come back and show us how you look on the day!

Malibuismysecrethome · 11/02/2022 15:57

It’s hideous

This. Absolutely gorgeous, and I hate frilly stuff.

Bit edgy, but elegant.

caringcarer · 11/02/2022 16:12

You are not the bride. You can't steal attention from the people getting married.

5128gap · 11/02/2022 16:13

Its giving a really clear message that you consider yourself the woman in his life. Which you no doubt are, but is that what you want people's take away from your son's wedding to be?

PinkSyCo · 11/02/2022 16:23

Oh dear God! 🤦🏽‍♀️ 🤣🤣

Her son is marrying another man, so she is the woman in his life.

You will look fab. Wear the floral and have a wonderful time at the wedding.
BruceAndNosh · 11/02/2022 17:24

I'm reminded when Sheldon Cooper saw Amy's frilly wedding dress and delightedly said "you look like a pile of swans.... I love it"

Kite22 · 11/02/2022 17:41

@BruceAndNosh .

I have to admit, when I clicked on the link, I was reminded of Amy's wedding dress, and more of Penny and Berni's reaction to it as she came out of the changing room Grin

MissMaple82 · 11/02/2022 17:44

Absolutely NOT

lucie82 · 11/02/2022 17:44

Ask your son and his husband to be. Or ask the other mother of the groom maybe. I mean if it's going to be a flamboyant affair then by all means wear it, however if it's an understated do then please wear something more simple. On the other hand if it's something you would normally wear in style then they wouldn't expect any less from you, but it is your sons day so he must be able to have a day in your outfit. I was appalled when someone came to my wedding in an ill fitting white top and trouser ensemble, it fit where it touched and she looked awful, and she didn't even speak to me which I found to be the height of rudeness.

NoneOfYour32Potatoes · 11/02/2022 17:45

@MissMaple82

Absolutely NOT
It over MissMaple. OP is wearing the floral number.

She gonna rock it.

CrinklyCraggy · 11/02/2022 17:48

I think you'll look like the poor lad's mother is devastated that there is no bride

Kenworthington · 11/02/2022 17:48

Crikey it’s the thread that no one wants to rtft of.

To summarize - for newcomers-

-There is no bride
-It’s my son marrying another man
-I showed ds the frock. He thought it was Fabulous and I should get it
-Some people loved it
-Most people hated it
-Many many people thought I wanted to be the bride/marry my son/some other weirdass scenario
-Lots of people thought I had no taste
-Some people sent me some nice pm’s
-Some people thought I’d look great or something and are now my new bffs

And then
——>>>I ORDERED the frock.

The end

NicolaMarlowsMerlin · 11/02/2022 17:49

I love it. Glad you’ve ordered it. It’s your son’s wedding. Be your outrageous self so long as he and his partner (and his partner’s mum) are happy with it!

NoneOfYour32Potatoes · 11/02/2022 17:50

Brilliant. Perfect quote.

It is a swanish dress. 🦢

Idontcareboutthestateofmyhair · 11/02/2022 17:50

I LOVE the red one!!

Pinkpeanut27 · 11/02/2022 17:51

I think the only people you should ask are the 2 getting married . If they are ok then go for it .

Tomitma111 · 11/02/2022 17:51

All I can say is WHY do you need to go so over the top?

SnozPoz · 11/02/2022 17:51

Its lovely but it's also a no definitely not

Sweetpea1532 · 11/02/2022 17:52

@Kenworthington

I'm way older than you and have been to many weddings..I honestly can't tell you what anyone was wearing on the big day..
My older self has learned to wear whatever I feel comfortable in...forget about everyone else's opinion except your DS's....you will be very comfortable and relaxed in the dress if you like it!
Have a spectacular time and congratulations to mama of the GroomFlowers

Retired65 · 11/02/2022 17:52

No, over the top I am afraid.
