Toasties Springing into…Spring?

I am 'Well Toasty' in my gorgeous apple cable cardi today.. Just doing stuff at home and trying to not have the heating on .... I have also just paid my sale stuff credit card bill.. so that should stop me buying anything else for five minutes, then

I think that beaded shirt looks amazing on one of the models, and not so great on the other two - and agree with @AmethystMoonShine about the beading inside being a complete pain - it would catch on jewellery as well as hair. Can see why it's so expensive though - imagine how long it would take to do the beading!

Glad it wasn't me going mad conjuring up imaginary live sessions in my head! It's a shame though. I would think they had enough new stuff to merit it

My loop back trousers and matching top have arrived in the medium and the small. The small is a good fit in both for a busty sized 12 and so I am returning the mediums. They will be a good item for lounging about in and the trousers can be dressed up with a (Toast) shirt or smock top for office days when I am on Zoom or at weekends with something more casual.

The patch pocket linen cotton shirt, as I suspected, is okay around the waist in a 12 but too large below the waist, and the pockets stick out a bit too. Even the 12 sits very high on the waist and so if anything is tucked in and you are busty, you run the risk of looking like you have no properly defined wasit. I also already have a cream denim Toast skirt and two denim skirts (including the current wrap one) that I need to wear more and so this one is going back.

The log cabin silk bandana is a lovely pop of colour and a keeper.

I've just discovered the Toast store in Richmond is dog friendly, so hoping to pop in this weekend and take a look at different trouser colours.

I'm not one of those who wants to take their dog everywhere, but she has pretty bad separation anxiety which we are working through, and so any dog friendly shop automatically wins bonus points with me right now

I love looking out for that Toast shop in Ted Lasso. They film a lot around Richmond green.

Ah, we watch Ted Lasso (it's fab) but I have missed the Toast shop. I must look out for it in the new series.

I have had the day off and been out and my husband rang and after we had chatted, he asked me what I was wearing. When I asked why, he said because he was wondering if it was Toast! He knows me well! I was actually wearing gym gear as that is where i am off to next but i did have the Toast vibrant green neck tie on too so I wasn't letting the side down!

I love the look of that beaded collar shirt. Will await feedback with interest. There are lots of lovely things in the new collection but I do wish there was more in a palette of colours that I could wear! Orange, yellow, brown, beige and sludgy green all look awful on me. Well I suppose it's a bonus for my bank account but some strong pink or purple would be lovely. I have a vintage deep pink cardigan that I bought about 10 years ago which is still one of my favourite things.

I have been in London today to meet someone. I had about 20 mins free and so I dashed into a handily-placed Toast shop to see if the green ruffle neck shirt was in as they didn't have it in Cheltenham last week when I was there. They did have it and I tried it on. It's beautiful, I am struggling with whether or not to buy it, partly because it's £175, and partly because I'm feeling a bit chunky at the moment, I'm about a stone heavier than I was this time last year, so am struggling a bit with self image!!!

Got to the Edinburgh Toast today to make a return and they were unpacking many boxes of new stuff. Didn’t get a proper look, though I spied a lovely looking indigo jacket and a very neon summer dress. Oh and khaki green linen/cotton Alix trousers…straight on my wishlist. No beaded shirt that I saw though. Guess I will just have to go back again!

@ScottishMouse - khaki Alix sounds like it might go on my list too. Were you one of the people who said the gingham alixes made an odd bulge? I saw someone wearing them on Instagram and the same thing was happening for them!

Not me @faustina. I didn’t notice that about them. For me the problem was the sizing - 6 way too small but 8 way too big. I hope the green Alix will be the same size as the other cotton/linen version.

That is really lovely on you fudge, but at £175 i reckon it will be in the sale ( and its too cold to wear it now anyway except under a jumper)

I wish they’d launch everything at once instead of in dribs and drabs as I’d prefer to make a list of anything I want and not buy something and then find something else comes along.

I have concluded Alix need to be tried on. I bought the same size in the indigo ones as my black ones and they definitely feel bigger , I think I’d have been better with a size smaller - at least I can eat plenty of cakes and they’ll still fit. Khaki sounds good to me too.

I see someone on Instagram has asked about the live styling session and Toast have said it will be on Weds Feb 16th at 1pm.

Im hanging fire with any new stuff as I would rather wait and see the whole collection.

I knew there were at least two of you! Honestly, you'd think someone at Toast would have noticed and had it corrected, wouldn't you?

I have received the green ruffle shirt, but I'm returning it (which my bank balance will thank me for). It is too big/roomy on me, and wide. Just not flattering but I am pear shaped and short. I'm normally a size 8 in Toast, and I have tried on the size Small. The colours are black and green with the red edging on the ruffle (someone asked if the colours were navy/green). Very light material so would be good in hot weather. Overall I can't justify the price for something that I will always feel self-conscious wearing.
