@ilovecherries that sounds stressful. Tie neck shirt sounds like a good pick me up. Would love to see a photo of you feel like posting one.

@Countmeout yes that was the one! Looks to be the same shape as the khaki skirt.

@faustina think you chose well with the novesta sesame (?) colour. I have some pale blue for when the weather warms up.

Saurus72 · 24/02/2022 00:31

@faustina Please can I ask about the diving of the Novesta Star plimsolls? I’m a size 6 in pretty much everything and the reviews mostly say they’re true to size. But I think I saw you sized down? In Supergas I’d take size 5.5 but not sure about these. The white ones are calling my name!

Saurus72 · 24/02/2022 00:32

Sizing not diving Confused

faustina · 24/02/2022 06:52

I read other reviews and they all said to size down, but the 5, though it fitted, wasn't comfortable so I have kept the 6 which is fine, just a bit big. You can get 5.5 elsewhere which is what I'd order now I know (if you see what I mean). Quite hard to find Novesta, though white should be easier!

ScottishMouse · 24/02/2022 07:08

Anyone have sizing advice on the new suede Steve Mono sandals? I tried the leather ones previously and found them stiff and a bit narrow but wonder if the suede might stretch better. I also can’t remember which size I tried (I am a 5.5 so not sure whether to go up or down). Thanks.

Countmeout · 24/02/2022 08:16

I have Novesta from a couple of years ago. I found them wide particularly round the heel and kept my normal size (5)

On the video they said those sandals were lovely and soft I think @ScottishMouse.

I also have 2 pairs. I found difference in sizing between the colours. They are wide but I have wide feet. I had 3 pairs. One pair were a beautiful blue. The other two are khaki and cream. The blue I had to sell as they crushed my toes at the top. They were all a size 6.
faustina · 24/02/2022 10:59

They obviously have a vacancy for a quality control person! The sedlova pair I returned had a badly sewn bit at the heel on one foot which made them incredibly uncomfortable. Perhaps not worth the bother if you have to pay for returns

Saurus72 · 24/02/2022 13:39

Thanks @faustina. I ordered some lovely-looking Japanese socks and my delivery notice email says a Kindred gift is included. I am inordinately excited!

neveradullmoment99 · 24/02/2022 14:01

Ive been naughty and ordered the cord workwear dress in narsturtium. I wasn't sure about sizing. The reviews weren't clear but I have the mustard check shirt dress from sale in a similar shape and its a 10. We will see.

neveradullmoment99 · 24/02/2022 14:04

I usually wear boots with my dresses but I feel I am going to struggle when Spring comes in. I may wear tights and trainers [ I do this now] but what kind of shoes do others wear? I am worried about the frump factor.

neveradullmoment99 · 24/02/2022 14:05

I mean I am fine with long dresses and above the knee. Its those that are mid calf length I find awkward - like the cord dress [ Unless it is knee length]. If i wear brogues it shortens my leg. Not a good look and is unbalanced.

faustina · 24/02/2022 14:22

@neveradullmoment99 have you tried clogs? I do know what you mean - that length can make my legs resemble tree trunks

@Saurus72 - I have the Mauna Kei slub socks and they're my favourite ever! Which ones did you order?

Saurus72 · 24/02/2022 14:26

@faustina those very socks in blue - ridiculously expensive for a pair of socks however a) small lovely things really do make a big difference and b) £18 is very inexpensive for a treat from Toast 🤗

Not sure with tights. I am a wee bit self conscious to wear bare legs to work so would need to be with tights.
I do love the idea of clogs and great for at home, so yes, they would be fab. Its just work wear I am thinking about.

faustina · 24/02/2022 14:29

@Saurus72 - they're worth every single penny! I've worn them so many times, and they wash really well too

Saurus72 · 24/02/2022 14:45

Can’t wait!

ilovecherries · 24/02/2022 19:34

I bloody love those socks! I have three pairs now. I just treat myself to a random pair of socks now and again. Because I LOVE nice socks. One day I WILL wear them with sandals and my happiness will be complete.

Small luxuries really matter - I think lovely Toast socks as an occasional guilt-free treat is a whole new category of spending for me and tbh I couldn’t be happier about that thought 😊. Btw @ilovecherries I hope you’re on the mend again soon.

neveradullmoment99 · 25/02/2022 10:05

Nasturtium cord dress. Nice fit.
Not sure the colour is 'me'

ScottishMouse · 25/02/2022 10:30

I really like it @neveradullmoment99. But I am a big fan of orange. I think it is a hugely underrated colour.

neveradullmoment99 · 25/02/2022 10:47

Thanks @ScottishMouse. I am veering towards keeping it. I'm just worried the colour is a bit bright.

ScottishMouse · 25/02/2022 10:53

@neveradullmoment99, I bought the very very bright orange Oxford shirt dress last summer. While I don’t wear it as often as some other dresses, I absolutely love it and it cheers me up when I wear it. I sometimes wear it with a sweater over it, in a dark or muted colour (charcoal or navy work well). That tones it down a bit but also leaves the cheeriness of the bottom half.

Saurus72 · 25/02/2022 10:55

@neveradullmoment99 that looks fabulous, please keep it!
