One thing with the peacock dress is the small button loop on the neck was so tight, I
could hardly get it undone without a struggle.. So I wont be trying to do it up again, but the placket doesn't look like it will flap open ..

Thanks, its a fab colour, and although expensive, I think a classic for me, very dhuggie-like and I wear my other Toast Dhuggies a lot.. I also like it with last year's green linen wide legs under.. ( not quite the same colour, but almost and it works for me .. )

I think You should keep both especially as they’re comfortable @faustina. There’s some great colours in them this year.

This is also new isn't it? Expensive for cotton linen ( and not me ) .. I do like the sandals the model is wearing with it though.. They are not on the website yet

I saw those sandals too Countmeout - they are very .. is it Steve Mono? not my thing, but if it were I'd definitely try them!

I think they had that dress on the video last week - or perhaps mentioned it. It does look a bit hard to wear

@Laska2Meryls, I tried that dress on last month in Hampstead. It was really lovely but the 12 too big around the hips and the 10 pulling ever so slightly on the bust. It looked quite modern with the collar done up to the top and was very flattering. I am still tempted.

Strongly agree re range of models, especially need some less flat chested. Just can't see what clothes would look like on curvier figures.

Hi Toasties, you know I try to keep away from this thread so as to minimise my spending but I do keep an eye on things as you do such great comments and reviews.
Your beautiful gift scarf upthread caught my attention. I placed an order for socks several days ago and just received the tracking email yesterday so I just checked my delivery notice and I see that a kindred gift is included. How exciting, I've never had a gift included before.

I've also received the lovely silk bandana as a Kindred gift - thrilled with it. I did not receive anything at Christmas.

I was in London today and quickly popped into one of the Toast stores that I was passing.
I didn't really have time to look round but I did ask about any more Alix trousers being released in the next launch. (Alix and Gabis suit me the best as I have a..ahem...flabby stomach!)
Anyhow, she produced a bunch of papers with photos of the new launch and said there was a pair of quite yellowy mustard ones which she showed me. There sadly didn't look like there was any green ones. I did ask for a quick flick through the papers which she let me do! Yellow was definitely a feature, some new dresses, it all looked very pleasing to the eye. I would have loved to have secretly taken photos of it but she was watching me like a hawk!

Oh, excellent work @AFingerofFudge. I like the sounds of yellowy Alix trousers. I’m the person who started the furore about the green ones. They had been sent a random pair in Edinburgh (also a couple of other random things), and said they thought they would be launching in March. Fingers crossed!

Great detective work @AFingerofFudge! So annoying you didn't have one of those tiny spy cameras though . I'll take the mustard Alixes too! Especially if they're cotton and a bit thicker than the linen ones I have

Oh I also had a quick nip into Uniqlo and saw this workwear jacket. Very similar to the Toast style, quite stiff denim. There was the cream colour and a denim pinstripe that you can just make out in the photo behind the cream one. I though they were a bargain at £34.90.
They come up big!!
