@AFingerofFudge

There also appears to be a new fairisle jumper unless I've missed it earlier in the season?
Yikes @ the price!
neveradullmoment99 · 18/02/2022 19:21

Very strange stock considering we are heading in to Spring Summer!
Everywhere is selling their winter jumpers in the sale. Not Toast!
Maybe it didn't quite make it here in time!

neveradullmoment99 · 18/02/2022 19:22

Its 100% wool. It is gorgeous on the model.

This isn't new but I had not noticed it previously
Its nice, but brown is not me..

I think they will struggle to sell that fair isle one this season now ..

[quote neveradullmoment99]This is new but Im not keen on the colours

I like this but I’m not sure about the colour, looks brown to me but is described as ‘plum’?!

neveradullmoment99 · 18/02/2022 22:10

That is weird. It does not look plum. It definitely looks brown!

neveradullmoment99 · 18/02/2022 22:11

I actually really like the shape of it. Not sure about the yellow trousers either!

MondayYogurt · 18/02/2022 23:09

Hi I'm about to make first Toast purchases. They don't do codes do they? Just checking before I hit pay.

AFingerofFudge · 18/02/2022 23:12

@MondayYogurt if you are an NHS worker then you can get 15% off if you ring them directly

MondayYogurt · 18/02/2022 23:17

Oh thanks @AFingerofFudge that's a nice gesture, I'm not NHS so clickity click here I go

Countmeout · 19/02/2022 08:28

There’s an awful lot of brown tones. The colours online are so hard to determine. That fine stripe cotton linen shirt in the blue looked so much darker in the styling video than I thought it was.
I don’t share the love of the colour block jacket, it looks very retro to me, but in any case dry cleaning is a definite nono.

neveradullmoment99 · 19/02/2022 10:06

Dress has arrived and you are NOT going to believe the gift! A silk bandanna! It is beautiful😍😍😍😍😍
I was GUTTED that the Toast one on the website had gone OOS when I went back to buy! It's not the same one as those but it's utterly beautiful! I'm so delighted!

neveradullmoment99 · 19/02/2022 10:08

I had been searching for one last night too!

Wow neveradullmoment99 what a wonderful gift!
My Toast parcel has not been delivered today, here's hoping I might also be the recipient of such a lovely present.

Agree very BHS 1980s. Not keen then or now. Utterly jaw dropping the price of the crocheted edge cardigan. Again it looks mended to me. Not inspired by anything , particularily the brown.Confused
neveradullmoment99 · 19/02/2022 11:54

Totally agree. It reminds me exactly of BHS!
Totally agree about the crochet cardigan and its do dull...

@neveradullmoment99 - that's so lovely!! What a nice thing to happen!

my two pairs of novesta have arrived and unfortunately they're both amazing. Might ask for help choosing once this rainstorm ends and it gets a bit lighter

ConfusedParticle · 19/02/2022 13:28

I feel the patterns and colours have been poor this past few seasons. Rather harsh, a touch too bold perhaps, but of course this is only my personal taste.
I do wish they'd edge a bit towards the arts and crafts style for pattern, bringing back their older floral, twine, nature inspired designs. A bit too much endless ikat and splodgy abstracts these days.

Also, and again this is only my own gripe, but i do wish they'd include some less statuesque models, and the occasional blonde would help as so many of the colours and designs are so beautifully suited to darker skin and hair - so never really work for me. A bit more ...range wouldn't go amiss.

I say all this as i LOVE their stuff, but tend to stick to accessories for these reasons.
I do think a lot of the variety has gone lately - scarves and so on used to have such beautiful, varied designs but now they are all plain or checked. Perhaps it's just their current vibe im not getting. You can't please everyone! Grin

MrsCat1 · 19/02/2022 14:14

Colours and patterns are obviously a personal choice but for me I do wish there were some clearer colours and less brown, cream, rust and muddy greens. As a fair skinned, dark haired person none of these colours work. I'm just hoping that the promised March drop with lots of dresses brings some new shades.

faustina · 19/02/2022 15:52

These are so incredibly comfortable and I love both colours but I don't think I can justify two more pairs of shoes. I'm conflicted! They're quite big so I've reordered in the next size down and thrown in a pair of gabis in loden.

I like the green colour best but both are great. I’m of the age when if the shoes are comfortable and stylish, they are keepers .

ScottishMouse · 19/02/2022 16:11

Oh @faustina, I can see why you can’t choose between the colours. I initially thought the more green colour, but now I’m thinking it depends on the colours of the trousers you are most likely to wear with them. If mostly darks (denim, navy, black) then it probably won’t matter, same with white or cream, but if you have khaki/taupe/brown trousers, one might be more versatile than the other.
Did you get a Kin gift in your parcel too? I’m still stalking the Pecan Fine Stripe Linen Cotton Shirt in an 8, some other sizes popped up earlier but no 8. Would love if one appeared and I got a silk scarf to boot!

faustina · 19/02/2022 16:27

Thanks you two - I'm very impressed at how comfortable they are. I was hoping being not white, that they won't look trashed within days (I Iive in a place that's 99% mud). I do wear jeans a lot, but also beige/khaki etc. The green isn't really green - it's called sesame. It's surprisingly interesting as a shade!

No free gift for me! Perhaps when the size fives and the gabis arrive, but to be fair, they did send me one just before Christmas. hope you get one when you find your shirt Scottish!

Laska2Meryls · 19/02/2022 16:36

Here is the peacock dress.. definitely keeping..
I also got the Kindred silk bandana.. its really lovely ..
