Saurus sorry those are a no from me too.. I think they swamp you and the colours are a bit dull tbh..

@couldhavegonethen - I think that looks lovely too. You could order the size down to try, but I don't think that looks too big

@Saurus72 - I prefer the first dress pictured, and agree neither are 'wow' dresses, they might be the kind of thing that just becomes indispensable in a quiet way - I have a few pairs of Toast trousers like that - hope you know what I mean. Also agree that the sleeves need rolling up

my novesta star masters were sent to the wrong post office - grrr! And it's going to be so stormy here tomorrow I very much doubt I'll see them then

Does anyone know when sales usually happen? I have my eye on quite a few things but just can't justify prices.

I use the retinol from time to time but I dislike the oil. They used to do a retinol cream and it was lovely. Really miss it.

I can't imagine any time soon. They may have a mini sale in a few months but its not that long ago since their Christmas one. Next major sale is the summer one.

@Laska2Meryls. It measures about 54cm/21 inches. Hope I’ve understood correctly where to measure!

@couldhavegonethen, I really like that dress on you and don’t think it is too big. But if it were me, I would want to try the smaller size too just to be sure.
@Saurus72, I agree with @faustina that the first dress is nicer, and I also think rolling the sleeves might even game changer.
I have just received the Space Checj Linen Trousers. Ordered a size xs, and these are marked xs, but I would estimate they are an XL, even taking into account Toast’s bizarre sizing. I could fit my whole family in them. I tried the S in store so I’m certain these have been mislabelled. Very annoying indeed.

Thanks for the comments - agree re: rolling sleeves up but it’s too short on me, just not a flattering length. Agree @couldhavegonethen wears it well, looks like a better length. The colour is really lovely!

No worries I ordered the M and that looks like it should fit then.. thanks

I use The Ordinary primer. Next now also stock it. It’s the handiest place for me. But although I’ve tried the retinol I couldn’t see the point of it. The primer is very reasonable compared to Perfect Canvas which I prefer if I’m flush.

Love the colour of the green dress. I do think it’s too short on you though @Saurus72. As someone said the length is better on @couldhavegonethen.

I've been using The Ordinary for ages - buffet serum and hylauronic and their squalane cleanser is the best I've ever found - I'm also using some things by The Inkey List which have impressed me - Bakuchiol (god only knows if I've spelt that correctly) and a night serum thing too. I used to order from Boots and Deciem but it's lovely to think I can just order and pick up the next day now!

@ScottishMouse I tried a very similar pair of trousers from cos a month or so ago, but they were a cotton and linen mix so sturdier. Really great fit, and a good price! I returned them because they were too lightweight for winter, but if you're looking for spring def worth a try

@Laska2Meryls yes it’s the same dress - the light when I took the picture wasn’t good, it’s a lovely colour in reality. Re: sizing - mine’s a size medium, I’m usually a Toast dress size 12.

Just got an email back about the mislabelled trousers. A rather curt apology. No offer to send another pair. No discount code as apology. Nada! ☹️

ah... fingers crossed it not too small then. I think you are slimmer than me .. I am rather busty (and have put on some weight sadly , butam back on the diet) .

Howeve,r I have Toast stuff in all the sizes ( and they are all the same !)

@Laska2Meryls we have different body shapes but I don’t think I’m slimmer than you. Anyway, it’s very forgiving so I think it’s one of those dresses that you could wear in a couple of different sizes.

I’ve ordered the peacock shirt dress in a size down just to see which is best fit.

I've ordered the Fine Stripe Cotton Linen shirt in Pecan (but it may be too small, I already have it in the blue shade in my normal size which is now out of stock in this colour) - to my surprise, I've been told that I will have a Toast kindred gift with my order. Anyone else received something?

Hope everyone is keeping safe in this turbulent weather. My garden has had a battering but my 400 year old mulberry tree is still standing phew

@Gonegrey31 - how exciting! Please come back and tell us what it is when it's arrived! I placed an order a couple of days ago and it never mentioned a gift, but they sent me something at Christmas so perhaps that's why.
