The dribs and drabs is so annoying @Countmeout.

I received the check shirt with the Andy Pandy collar today. I was pretty sure it was going to be a keeper, but actually I’m not feeling it. I think the collar is just too much of a statement for me.
Also ordered the Tretorn boots. I have these from last year but always felt I had bought a size too big. But the smaller size is too small, so I will stick with the bigger ones and just wear extra socks. Would definitely recommend them if anyone is thinking about them. I would say they run a half size big.

Countmeout · 08/02/2022 18:57

Oh no @ScottishMouse disappointing about the blouse.

dudsville · 08/02/2022 19:11

Yes they are solovair from toast @TheChattyRat. They are very comfortable and the colour goes with everything!

I've tried those kin balloon trousers. I have the toast pleated denim trousers and love them so much I thought the kin would be more of the same, but they really didn't suit me.

Reading about the new things you've all found on the website has inspired me to get a cuppa and sit quietly looking over the new additions.

neveradullmoment99 · 08/02/2022 19:15

I was on the plumo website and read in the sale that all sales are final and returns will only be a credit or exchange.
Really would put me off ordering anything from them!

ScottishMouse · 08/02/2022 19:23

Gosh that is rubbish @neveradullmoment99. I would never order online without the ability to return.
I may try it again tomorrow @Countmeout, as I never made it to the post office this afternoon to send it back. If the collar was a few inches smaller, I would definitely keep it.

dudsville · 08/02/2022 19:24

Which colour boots did you chose @scottishmouse?

Does anyone here have the Hereu Alber Sport Loafers? I genuinely ❤ 😍 these in the dark brown but I can't see myself ever paying that much for a shoe.

ScottishMouse · 08/02/2022 19:28

@dudsville, I think they only come in black. These ones: www.toa.st/products/tretorn-terrang-boots-black
I notice they are £10 more than I paid last year!

dudsville · 08/02/2022 19:44

Oh yes, I got confused! They're fab.

I've just trawlled the whole site and saved about 11 things in a fantasy wish list. I want to swan around in this...

Ive posted about Plumo here previously .. they sell on other labels stuff overpriced ' "because they 'curate' a collection " - they told me when I complained and refused to pay return postage for something back from me which was clearly substandard ..Their customers service is appalling.. I will never buy from them again.. unfortunately I cant seem to get off their mailing list..

I have just noticed these ( might have missed them previously) I love the colour.
But dont think that I can justify them at £150..

Wow, they are breaking the law. Under consumer contracts regulations you always have the right to inspect the goods if buying online, and cancel the contract for any reason if the goods are not suitable (within 14 days, with another 14 to return them after notifying the seller, they have to refund you the price and standard delivery costs within 14 days after receiving them back). The only exceptions are for perishable goods, or for other special categories like underwear, earrings, CDs, personalised items, etc.

It says it on the bottom. That is outrageous @missmoon

neveradullmoment99 · 08/02/2022 20:33

I mean outrageous that they are stating this.

neveradullmoment99 · 08/02/2022 20:34

I remember you saying that @Laska2Meryls

I only bought a couple of items from them years ago.

missmoon · 08/02/2022 20:41

@neveradullmoment99 that’s really dodgy!

faustina · 08/02/2022 20:59

I had this problem with a company called crumpet cashmere years ago - had to send an email explaining they were breaking the law and eventually they refunded me, but it took forever and was really annoying!

ScottishMouse · 08/02/2022 21:10

@dudsville, I tried those trousers on in store last week. I really liked them on the hanger, but they were very very pyjama-like on.
What else is on your fantasy wishlist?

dudsville · 08/02/2022 21:35

Yes, they're somehow more voluminous than the toast ones that seem otherwise so similar @scottishmouse.

I like the flat front corduroy trousers and brown cord pinafore, several cardigans. If any of then made it to a sale then I'd get one or two and delete the rest. The two I bought this year are so nice, it's just greed wanting more! I would get the ruinous coat if it came down in price to that of the orange coat. I'll get another striped tee as they're fab, and there's a brown long sleeve fine stripe blouse that I would like.

Do you have anything on your wish list?

ScottishMouse · 08/02/2022 21:47

Oh I meant the new linen check trousers you posted a photo of @dudsville.
I very nearly bought the fine stripe shirt. It is fab. Size down though, it’s huge. The colour just wasn’t good on me, and I didn’t care for the blue so much. My local Toast had it also in a non-striped version, in slate and I think some sort of yellow (I didn’t pay attention as that’s not my kind of colour), but again, they only had one of each and said it would be online in a few weeks. The slate one is definitely on my wishlist.
Not much else on my wishlist at the moment, I’m also waiting not very patiently for the khaki green Alix that are coming sometime soon.

billydilly · 09/02/2022 09:46

@dudsville Just a heads up re the ruinous coat; it pills like crazy. I still love it and wear it often but the lovely colours do become dimmer when covered with fuzz, I've tried a comb but it didn't help much.

AFingerofFudge · 09/02/2022 10:05

I've made my first Community Clothing purchase! £56 is pretty good for something made here, I'll keep you posted when it arrives!

Are you referring to the Miller houndstooth? I absolutely love it but can’t bring myself to pay that price. I took back the black and white one I ordered from Kilver Court. It was just not right. Then I tried on the houndstooth and it was gorgeous.

Countmeout · 09/02/2022 10:34

@dudsville that’s annoying. I love it (the Miller) but fortunately for my credit card it’s sold out in my size.

Countmeout · 09/02/2022 10:35

Sorry @billydilly
