Your oufit looks lovely Dudsville

Are those Solovair from the Toast website? I like that cardigan too - it looks v Toast like.

I had bought the last dress from JL this one (though there are a few more sizes). Has anyone got this?

Nothing much is catching my eye from the new season, I think it is because the colours don't really suit me. I do like the tie neck blouse though - would like to see a photo if anyone has it?

I just returned it. I ordered the 10 but it was huge! I think I could have sized down to an 8. I think I could have got away with it if it wasnt for the sleeves that made it even bigger. I wanted to love it but in the end, it just wasn't right for me. It may suit a different body shape. I am a 10/12 in Toast. HIght street 12-14
neveradullmoment99 · 07/02/2022 16:27

I was so disappointed that I ordered this instead. Its fab:

TheChattyRat · 07/02/2022 16:42

Thanks Never - think we are a similar size then. I order the 10 too. Shame as it looks lovely. The Kin dress looks good!

faustina · 07/02/2022 16:48

@neveradullmoment99 - that looks nice. Have you seen the new painted gingham dress they have? It's so pretty. Unfortunately it's viscose which is such a shame. I have worn my Kin tapered joggers so much I'm seriously considering buying another pair. I wish they had other colours though!

neveradullmoment99 · 07/02/2022 16:50

It may be fine on you. I just tried and tried it and in the end it just felt like it was too big on. Just a bit too much material. Great quality and a nice fine cord. It may work for you.

neveradullmoment99 · 07/02/2022 16:52

They have the kin dress in black but its a separate item.

www.johnlewis.com/kin-circle-skirt-jersey-dress-black/p6032260

I just wanted a black dress. Its classic. Its fairly long on someone average. I'm 5ft6

neveradullmoment99 · 07/02/2022 16:52

I got the small.

neveradullmoment99 · 07/02/2022 16:54

I would say its medium jersey, neither thick nor thin. 3/4 sleeves - my favourite and will look fab with jewellery. It fits neatly at the top and flares out. Its got pockets. It does not show lumps and bumps.

Ooooh off to look! Thanks!

neveradullmoment99 · 07/02/2022 17:00

Yes, it is lovely. I'm not too bothered about viscose. Do you think the blue is quite bright? I do love it on the video clip. It is a pattern they have done before. It had a black paint brush cross effect on it last season. I ordered the skirt but the material - cotton poplin, was horrible. I mean seriously stiff.

faustina · 07/02/2022 17:10

it is quite bright, but in a good way! Like the bright orangey red Toast are doing, and the bright green I see in other brands. It's kind of hopeful and optimistic. I think there was a top in the same fabric too if you want something less in your face.

Laska2Meryls · 07/02/2022 18:09

Ooh glad that I just checked in !.. I had a quick look at Kin at the dress and saw that a pair of the oos indigo balloon jeans I had on my list had just popped up in my size ..

I was also pleased to receive the toast Elena shirt in Khaki that I bought on Vinted today .. it's perfect and looks unworn .. ( and was £30 instead of £175..) So pleased!

I really am going to struggle to justify the new Toast prices sadly

Laska2Meryls · 07/02/2022 18:13

I think the KinJeans are very Toast- like

neveradullmoment99 · 07/02/2022 18:34

I like those jeans @laska

Nanasueathome · 08/02/2022 13:14

I’ve received the post card this morning

AmethystMoonShine · 08/02/2022 13:32

No post card here but I did get an email from Toast welcoming me to Kindred, so I assume it's been renewed. I have to say I do appreciate the free postage, it definitely encourages my spending though Grin

Been away from the thread for a few days, I've got Covid and after thinking I was getting away with cold type symptoms, I've felt much worse the last few days...much to my annoyance.

Not really lusting after much in the new stock sadly. I am in the market for some shorts this year but not sure the ones they've just added are those. I like the green and black gingham top, but not at that price. Hoping for some lovely dresses in natural fabrics at some point as I get wear from those in the warmer months....bit concerned they'll be about £200 though!

Countmeout · 08/02/2022 14:35

I see the tank is added online but it’s £185 , just a little bit steep. I can’t understand the pricing, the fairisle tank is cheaper and yet to me looks like more work.

faustina · 08/02/2022 15:05

@AmethystMoonShine - hope you feel better soon!

I'm thinking of buying some novesta star masters on the grounds that the soles won't look grubby after two days. Does anyone have them? Are they comfortable?

I would honestly shop around. There are loads of tanks around. You may get something cheaper. I don't think the colour looks that nice. A bit dull. I do like the embroidered neckline. I suppose there is work in that, but not nearly £200 worth.

A variety for example here.

neveradullmoment99 · 08/02/2022 15:12

and this, is gorgeous

Countmeout · 08/02/2022 15:54

Yes @neveradullmoment99 lots of choice in tanks it seems. I have the Hush one from last year in cream. I’ll wait and see if the Toast one ever reaches sale I think. I do like the colour and the detail.

No sign of the green Alix yet unfortunately. I still wish they’d stop releasing things in dribs and drabs.

neveradullmoment99 · 08/02/2022 16:05

I see a few more dresses have made an appearance. Really like the green pinafore but it is really pretty expensive.
