@AFingerofFudge

I've made my first Community Clothing purchase! £56 is pretty good for something made here, I'll keep you posted when it arrives!
It certainly is a great price ..I bought these last autumn articlegreen.co.uk/new-products/kx431zizfxlqkamf4h9masv0vy1lu9-xz69y-pnzg6-ht3ag-dcwx3 So I am a bit gutted at the CC price.. (although these were made to my measurements..)
alliscalm · 09/02/2022 12:15
I messaged Community Clothing recently to ask if they were considering adding British tweed overcoats to their range; sadly not. ( I am on a bit of a mission). I definitely want to support the brand.

Anyone watch the live video yesterday? I was only able to watch yesterday evening.
The shorts look promising not as full in the front as I expected. I was disappointed they did not try on outfits as it’s so difficult to gauge from even the hanger, but an improvement on online pictures I suppose.
One of the ladies however was wearing those trousers someone was talking about up thread and the loafers I think someone else mentioned. The little cardigan with the pocket also looked lovely.

Saurus72 · 10/02/2022 10:29

I watched it @Countmeout - it didn’t really excite me but then that’s probably be a it was loungewear! The only thing on my list is the grid check dress, planning to buy on payday next week 😊. I’m happy to wait until there are things I obsess about!

ScottishMouse · 10/02/2022 11:06

I’ve just watched it. Those linen trousers look so much better on the mum than on me. But I am much shorter. I also love the cardigan she has on.

neveradullmoment99 · 10/02/2022 13:22

Oh I liked lots of things. I love the dungarees she was wearing. Loved the mum's outfit. Loved the brown dungarees although think I liked the linen better. Loved the pink linen dress. Beautiful colour. Definitely on my summer wish list.

AFingerofFudge · 10/02/2022 15:10

I've tried looking on Instagram for the latest live but can't find it- does anyone have a link please?

ToastCosILoveIt · 10/02/2022 15:41

Link above for @AFingerofFudge

AFingerofFudge · 10/02/2022 16:44

Thank you @ToastCosILoveIt !

dudsville · 10/02/2022 19:59

Thanks @Billydilly, that's just the info I need to help me not buy it!

Thanks for the link @toastcosilikeit, I'm not sure I fancy the trousers mum wore in the link. At 5'8" I was surprised how long they were on her!

Countmeout · 10/02/2022 20:03

I have come to the conclusion that the only trousers I can wear are the Gabis, the Alix and the Annie. I am not tall enough for the wider trousers @dudsville.

dudsville · 10/02/2022 20:08

Yes, luckily Toast do a few patterns!

ScottishMouse · 11/02/2022 06:29

Does anyone have the desert colour linen cotton Alix trousers? Are they slightly pinkish, they kind of look that way on my screen? Do you wear that colour at this time of year, and what kind of colours do you wear them with? Really need some new trousers, and despite having tried so many other styles, Alix are really the only ones that work well for me.
Only other thing I am wanting to try are the new pecan coloured flat fronted trousers with the cinch tab on the side. Has anyone tried them? What is the sizing like waist-wise? I never usually get on with Toast’s fixed waist trousers (menopause belly), but some reviews suggest these might be a bit more generous on the waist.

MrsCat1 · 11/02/2022 09:48

Good morning Toasties. Lovely sunny morning here.

So the beaded collar shirt has arrived. It's very true to the picture. The collar is beautiful. Lovely beadwork that is quite soft and won't irritate on the neck. Gorgeous buttons although a bit stiff to do up. The cut is slightly swingy. Fabric is poplin - it will crease and I think it would have been better with a heavier or more lux fabric. But it is lovely. The colours and shape probably aren't ideal for me and at nearly £250 I need to be sure. So the jury is still out.... Hmmmm

Countmeout · 11/02/2022 09:50

I only have the cotton linen Alix in the black @ScottishMouse but they wouldn’t be very warm for this time of year in the North.

Laska2Meryls · 11/02/2022 10:14

ScottishMouse I love those pecan trousers too...
I have the Alix in the desert colour but they are definitely summer wear I think.

Laska2Meryls · 11/02/2022 10:21

I am trying not to buy atm especially as I have put on a bit of wright over the last year and need to deal with it before buying any more but those pecan trousers are tempting.
I was gently debobbling my beloved Mira striped jumper this one and thinking that actually of all the many things I have bpught from Toast the Mira jumpers ( I have 4!) are this is my favourite things and most worn of all ..
Thought it would be interesting to know what you other Toasties think your favourites / most used pieces are ? .
I also my Francis tees ( all the colours here!) pretty much every day atm..

ScottishMouse · 11/02/2022 10:35

Hands down, my most used piece is my indigo Alix trousers. I have worn them about a squillion times in the years I have had them. Also a very very old fisherman rib sweater (far nicer style than any similar they have done since).

ScottishMouse · 11/02/2022 10:36

Think I might order the pecan trousers @Laska2Meryls, I will report back.

Saurus72 · 11/02/2022 11:26

@Laska2Meryls good question! Pretty much all of my Toast dresses are in heavy rotation which I’m really pleased about. My single most-worn item in the past 6 months is the black dress, only bought a few months ago but worn sooooo many times it’s been worth the money at least twice over. I wear it mainly when I go out at night usually with ankle boots - I put it on and feel amazing. My other most-worn dress this A/W is the green floral one - I wear it pretty much every weekend, so comfy. Both of these will be great most of the year I think, except hot summer days.

Saurus72 · 11/02/2022 11:27

Forgot to say - the orange floral one is probably my favourite but feels a bit more dressy so I wear it less, but at every opportune moment 🤗

Laska2Meryls · 11/02/2022 12:32

Gosh sorry for my appalling typing on that last post ..

neveradullmoment99 · 11/02/2022 13:09

Favourite 2 peices. So hard!
Currently, my first most worn item has to be the vibrant check dress. Love it so much and wear it quite a lot.
