Hello lovely people of style and beauty, I'm in the market for a gorgeous designer bag, budget is around £1700 possibly 2k if im absolutely in love.

At the moment I'm loving this bag .. I just love the style , the colour, everything about it really, but wondering if there are any other similar style bags out there that I might love abit more ! I don't want to rush into a purchase as it's a lot of money but at the same time, I do really love this bag! Now my dc are all primary school aged, I can carry a smaller bag which is amazing !

Thoughts please and also any suggestions would be very welcome Smile

Snorting laughing here 🤣🤣🤣🤣

You're definitely NOT allowed to buy that if you think £550 is too much money.

P.s link please ! 💌

I can't get a link - Chanel's site hates me, goodness knows why really 😆 But it looks like this...

Bag looks good enjoy. You wear it well.
....OP and her partner clearly feel that this well thought out purchase was deserved inspite of the high price. No idea y it is deemed correct to comment. She is not dipping into mine/your pocket to pay for it! Think some would shudder at the price others pay for their bags (and yes those women think £10k is a lot of money but r still happy to spend it at Hermes).

slaybellsringing · 23/01/2022 11:08

@Ireolu thank you very much , I agree .. I don't see how people see fit to comment on whether I should have purchased it when the thread clearly was about purchasing the bag and looking at other styles.
I think it's so rude and something these people would never have the guts to say to someone in real life to their face!

I'm stuck between the Empreinte Metis in black and the Noe Alma bb also Empreinte in black.

Over the years I've carried a bag less and less unless it's work related. The Metis is great for work but I'm drawn to the Alma simply because I really only carry, small LV key pouch as my wallet, my phone keys hand sanitiser and lip balm.

Does anyone have the Alma?

slaybellsringing · 23/01/2022 12:29

@WildFlowerBees gorgeous bag but is it much smaller than the metis? From the model wearing it , it seems to me like it's maybe a touch smaller but not by much

It's definitely smaller internally due to the shape, do you carry much in your Metis?

slaybellsringing · 23/01/2022 13:36

I carry my phone, airpods, lipstick, mini perfume, scrunchie (and extra hair bobbles for my girls), keys. And there's loads more space if I wanted to put more in but I don't tend to. I hardly carry a wallet as everything is on my phone with Apple pay and the phone wallet. Unless it's something like our library cards that can't be loaded onto the phone wallet. which I probably need a nice matching mini wallet thing for 😁

Personally I don't like the shape of the Alma, I think it's a bit 'old lady' .....sorry!

I agree. Don’t like the Alma, Neverfull or Speedy. I’m very fussy!

Grin is 44 the new 90 then? I like the Empreinte neo version but not the Epi leather.

WildFlowerBees · 23/01/2022 15:48

@slaybellsringing I use the Empreinte key pouch for my wallet so easy!

I'm going in to LV tomorrow I'll see what they have. I have to love it straight away, any sort of niggle and it's a no.

After all this they'll not have any stock! Grin

slaybellsringing · 23/01/2022 15:55

I think the alma is too boxy/structured for me, I like to have a cross body that lays flat against my body because I feel that the boxier ones will move around too much. Also, I do still pick up my dd(4) quite abit so I'd not want anything in her way to make her uncomfy 💌

But if you have your heart set on the alma @WildFlowerBees then I say go for it !

My eldest dd has bagsied the metis for when I'm done with it and my middle dd (9 going on 19) has asked when I'm buying my next one so she can have that 🤣

I think I can safely say I need to buy two more nice bags 'for my other two dds'. Let the good times roll 🤣🥳

My first LV (a Speedy which I bought in 2015) was gifted to my daughter on her 18th birthday. I think it's lovely to hand these things down to your daughters.
