Buying my first designer bag...help please!

Hello lovely people of style and beauty, I'm in the market for a gorgeous designer bag, budget is around £1700 possibly 2k if im absolutely in love.

At the moment I'm loving this bag .. I just love the style , the colour, everything about it really, but wondering if there are any other similar style bags out there that I might love abit more ! I don't want to rush into a purchase as it's a lot of money but at the same time, I do really love this bag! Now my dc are all primary school aged, I can carry a smaller bag which is amazing !

Thoughts please and also any suggestions would be very welcome

@Daydreamsinsantafe haha yes it's got to be done hasn't it 🤣 can't be all ungroomed with a new LV bag can we ! It's an event 😂 I've already started looking at a new outfit for the occasion bahahaha... I can sense this bag bringing good things into my life already 🥳

@slaybellsringing do you wear a lot of denim? I would be cautious with a light coloured bag and dye transfer, especially if it's bouncing and rubbing on your hip.

@slaybellsringing it’s definitely an event. Well for the first occasion anyway but it’s also a bag you can wear with literally everything. It’s a really good all rounder.

@Isabelle70 has a point about dye transfer though. I never buy light coloured bags anymore but yep, it happens 😬

I ended up with colour transfer on a tori burch quilted bag from some new jeans ( they had been washed once but the dye still transferred ).

I've seen this in black and it's lovely, I think the empirente leather is exquisite. Go for a darker colour though if you want to wear with jeans as an everyday bag.

With regard to preloved bags, there’s a few good FB groups who people sell bags through - not to mention companies who buy and sell bags all the time.

With regard to authenticity of preloved bags, again there are a few companies who will help you with that - if you send pics etc.

I bought the monogrammed one just before Christmas and love it. Took about 2 weeks to get it on the LV site as it was out of stock. Best time to try to buy is through the night or early morning. If you love it go for it

@lateSeptember1964 I think I might hold out for the monogrammed one since other posters have made a really good point about the dye transfer which has made me change my mind about the lighter coloured one ! Thanks I'm usually up in the night quite a bit so I'll keep checking x

Ooh good choice.

Before you go with the monogram have a look at recent YouTube videos. Lots of people complaining about the glazing being inferior and having to have their bags replaced. The Emprinte leather is absolutely gorgeous I have a few and they look good as new.

OP, I think, you should decide which colour/leather you love the most, and then wait for that to come into stock.

I know it's frustrating to wait, but don't buy one just because it's available if it's not your favourite - you'll only end up regretting it!

But I have now added your bag to my wishlist of designer bags - it is beautiful. Idly browsing MN is dangerous

Nice but Katie price has the whole set and has been seen with them....would put me off....how does she afford them...bankcrupt...!!

I love that one too but agree with previous poster that you need to get the one you really want, and not just settle for the one which is in stock. FWIW I was torn between that one and the traditional mono canvas.
